"Lovely cottage - just outside Little Haven, peaceful and quiet."
Spotlessly clean and cosy - lovely bed linen and everything you need for a great stay. Manager, Sharon and owner, John brilliantly supportive - thank you

"We thoroughly enjoyed our week at Foxglove Cottage."
Just a few niggles first. There was a problem with the shower, it was impossible for me to turn on. Sharon arranged for the handyman to look at it the following day, and she provided a new shower mat
-
"A great place for a break."
-
"This was our second stay at Foxglove cottage and we absolutely loved it."
The cottage is perfectly located between the two villages of Broad Haven and Little Haven and is a perfect base for walking the Pembrokeshire coast path. The cottage is very comfortable, well equipped and cleaned to a high standard.
-
"Really excellent Cottage in a super position for both Little Haven and Broad Haven, both easy walking distance although at top of a hill!"
Good places to eat in Little Haven and supermarket in Broad Haven very adequate. Lovely beach if the weather had been kinder! Only comment is the outside eating area. This is on a shared gravel driveway and facing the crossroads, so not very relaxing or private. Lots of very helpful advice on things to see and do, and everything we needed in the cottage for our week’s stay. Many thanks
-
"Lovely cute cottage, especially the mezzanine floor/bedroom which our daughter loved [shame a loo couldn't be squeezed in though]."
The hot water could be a bit iffy towards the end of our week. Little Haven was gorgeous, especially the pub, St Brides Inn...........well worth a visit. All in all, we had a great time, particularly seeing thousands of puffins & other sea birds. Only one morning of rain too so the week was excellent.
-
"Lovely cottage, great location - short walk to both Little Haven & Broad Haven with a range of facilities- several good pubs serving great food, small shop, fish& chip shop, surf shop etc The cottage was well equipped- everything you could need had been thought of- it was cosy and spacious and we’d love to come back!"
-
"We have had a wonderful stay in Foxglove Cottage."
It’s our second stay and we could see improvements that have been made since our last stay. The cottage is well positioned, you can access lots of places of interest within half an hour drive, the perfect spot to explore Pembrokeshire from. The cottage is well stocked with all the amenities you need, the only thing I would say needs attention is the crockery cupboard which is damp. we kept all the dishes we were using out on the countertop as there was actual mole growing on one or two things inside the cupboard. However, this did not put us off and we certainly be back again.
-
"A lovely cottage, just up the hill (steep though!"
) from Little Haven, which was very friendly, with great pubs. Easy access to the Coastal Path, at a very beautiful section of it. The cottage had everything we needed, and was warm enough with the central heating, though we made good use of the woodburner - a comfort after being blown about and soaked by the weather. Thank you to the owners for a lovely New Year stay.
-
"Lovely cottage, ideal location, clean, comfy Quiet, old but modern, highly recommended to all."
-
"Lovely cottage in a great location."
Walkable to local beaches and restaurants, just be aware there are some very steep hills! Everything you could need in the property and most importantly the softest most comfy bed I have ever slept in (the downstairs one)!! Highly recommended.
-
"Great place at the top of a VERY steep hill just outside of Little Haven village, highly recommended."
-
"We enjoyed our stay & were able to visit a number of beaches & castles."
The cottage was very comfortable & well equipped. A few minor niggles. No drying facilities, other than a small drying frame. Mouldy coffee grounds in the coffee maker. Nowhere to hang towels. A shame no option to recycle food waste - it felt wrong to throw it in with non-recyclables. An umbrella for outside would be nice. Also, I kept hitting my head on the sloping kitchen ceiling next to the Velux, by the sink! My fault for being 6' tall.
-
"A delightful cottage a few minutes walk from Littlehaven ."
.a very comfortable house..extremely comfortable beds ..had all the facilities...big kitchen and all the appliances you would need ..a lovely place to stay and easy access to all the local beaches and coves ..well worth the money for the holiday ..

"Foxglove was such a lovely place to stay we had such a lovely time, the only ..."
Foxglove was such a lovely place to stay we had such a lovely time, the only issue was the heating wasn’t the best as it would only stay at a low temperature so was quite cold, but other then that we had such a lovely stay, and would most likely stay here again
I’m so sorry about the heating. It sounds like we need to write up some clear instructions so we can ensure this is remedied. Thank you for letting us know about this. Property Owner

"Great little cottage, good facilities and prime location."

"Great cottage and well appointed."

"Lovely cottage."
Stayed for 2 weeks - first week just two of us, two other family members joined for second week. Problems with the boiler throughout first week - strong fuel smell and then water leak. Boiler broken. Sorted by owners - who were in regular contact to monitor progress - although took four visits by plumbers over seven day period (Got to know them quite well !!) . Apart from that, cottage is comfortable - beds especially so - well equipped and decorated. Great for 2 people or couple with children. With the mezzanine bedroom, bit odd for 2 couples as have to agree appropriate privacy / getting up times etc. Booked with The Grange for the rest of our family and the combination works very well. Close to Broad Haven and Little Haven. Good pub restaurants (esp. St Brides Inn and The Castle) with good range menus (2 vegans in our group well catered for).. Really good holiday.
-
"Lovely cottage."
Clean, comfortable and well equipped. Fantastic location, only a short walk to Little Haven and Broad Haven.
-
"The shower was broken and the cushions on the sofas were dirty, I had to wash them."
There was no shower mat to stand on (once the shower was fixed)
-
"It was excellent."
Warm and good hot water and excellent wood burner. Really clean. Good instructions. Good equipment - We got a cafetiere in preference to the new coffee maker. The shower could do with a basket for soap etc. The table would be a bit cramped for eating if there were 4 people. Excellent parking and good proximity to excellent pubs and shop and lovely beach.

"We had a lovely week in Foxglove Cottage in Pembrokeshire."
We contacted the owner about a couple of things that she is going to look into but on the whole we were very satisfied, especially the constant hot water, warmth, efficient shower, lovely comfy beds and the facilities in general. This is our 2nd booking with you and we will certainly book with you again.

"This was a last minute booking for us and therefore was very happy with accommodation."
Small from outside and a tardis inside. 2 good size double bedrooms, well equipped kitchen, large sitting room with log burner. Starter pack of wood and kindling provided. Plenty of parking for 2 cars. Property adjacent to owners holiday home. Very peaceful location as owners weren’t there. Perfect location to walk to both Little Haven and Broad Haven beaches. One pub open in Little Haven The St Brides Inn good food, very busy recommend booking. Broad Haven has convenience store, cafe and pub open. The beach is lovely long and sandy, very popular with surfers and dog walkers. My only criticism with the accommodation is that it needs underfloor heating kitchen and bathroom. Perhaps do away with freezer and replace with dishwasher. It took us 24 hours to warm the accommodation- perhaps leave heating ticking over low when not booked. However we had a lovely stay and enjoyed our daily walks. Great location for exploring the local towns, beaches and a must is a visit to St David’s only a 30 minute drive away

"This is a delightful cottage, warm, cosy, peaceful."
The woodstove is a great feature and because our stay was in November, we used it constantly. The beds were very comfortable with quality bedding. The kitchen is well equipped. Really enjoyed our stay.
-
"Perfect cottage for a family of 4, we had a great time and would definitely stay again."
Well stocked kitchen, really warm cottage even though it was autumn and chilly, slight smell of oil from time to time but nothing major (due to heating system). The only thing we might have appreciated is a clock in the bedroom as it's pitch dark in there at night (it's great!) and using your phone to check the time isn't ideal. Check in / out was easy, really grateful for the outside light being left on for our arrival, parking on the drive was great (thanks for the heads up on the steep turn!). Beautiful area, close to many beautiful beaches
-
"Really enjoyed our stay at Foxglove Cottage."
Very comfortable and charming. It has everything we needed for a relaxing week away. I would definitely recommend it.
-
"Oil fired heating boiler caused bad fumes in the kitchen and bedrooms."
Had to keep windows open whilst in use
-
"Accurately described accommodation in a good location with two good pubs serving food nearby"
-
"Overall, the cottage is lovely and has a nice updated kitchen and bathroom."
The beds are very comfortable! My tall husband was unable to prep food in the kitchen due to the slanted roof. The only thing that made me uncomfortable was walking with my two small children on the single track roads around the cottage. The walk down to Little Haven is a 20% slope, but that didn't bother us. I was new to this area so unaware of the road situation.
-
"Really lovely cottage."
We were very lucky with the weather for our first holiday of 2021. Very clear instructions for arrival. Having grown up holidaying in Little Haven it was a nice change to be based in such a lovely cottage between Little and Broad Haven.
-
"Roomy & comfortable."
Well equipped kitchen, very clean and a really comfy bed, Good location, close to coastal paths, it’s a beautiful unspoilt area, Very pleased with the property,
-
"Lovely cottage in a good location."
10 minutes walk to the village with a couple of good places to eat. Nice and quiet and friendly cows for neighbours.
-
"My husband and I stayed with our baby and it was an excellent choice."
It was near enough to Little Haven and Broad Haven to be accessible via a quick walk but located in a very peaceful countryside. As a note, there is a steep hill on the walks to the villages, so you would want a sling if you have a small child. The cottage was very cosy with plenty of room for a travel cot. As a bonus, there is a baby bath, high chair and travel cot available for use should you require then. It was an excellent cottage and exactly what we were looking for. We would highly recommend it when visiting the area.
-
"Nice cottage."
some damp areas in bathroom but was okay. Narrow single track room to get to property and the house sign not clear - a bit jaded but otherwise okay. I would warn others of the narrowness of road just to give them the heads up.
-
"We loved Foxglove Cottage - the perfect size for 2 adults and a child."
The walk down to the beach was only 5 minutes (although it took a bit longer coming back up the steep hill!) and there were plenty of eateries within walking distance.
-
"The only 2 areas we thought could be improved were 1) The location instructions were quite bizarrely obtuse in the email but looking through the information folder when we eventually found the property those were far more easily followed."
Perhaps a sign outside the property to say 'Foxglove Cottage' and not 'The Grange' would have helped. 2) there were no drying facilities either an area for a washing line or provision of a clothes horse would be useful
-
"There is no garden area at this property, which could be a disadvantage with a family."
There is just a gravel drive with table and chairs, however, this is where the cars are parked.
-
"Great area for enjoying time away."
. close to all west coast town's.. and in land..picturesque
-
"This is a lovely little cottage, well equipped kitchen and lots of books cds and dvds provided for entertainment."
We had beautiful weather so were out all of the time. Some earlier reviews criticised the cleanliness of the cottage but it was spotless on our arrival. The village of Little Haven is 10 minute walk downhill but the first part of the hill is very steep so it took us 20 minutes to walk back. We would certainly stay here again.
-
"Lovely accommodation, comfy beds, well equipped, warm and clean ."
Lovely location, only downside was the hills getting from the cottage to the two coastal villages is very steep , memtion of this would be good , one of our party was recovering from a serious back problem art the time of our visit so we needed to take the car down evertime .
-
"Very happy with what we got and expected."
Lovely location for walking and driving really enjoyed.
-
"The condition of the bathroom floor was unresolved - there are chips in the flooring, and the shower area could do with a deep clean."
We were there for two weeks with only one teatowel. Small things, I know, but not up to Sykes`s usual standard.
-
"Hi Great little cottage , all you need for a stay to explore the coast , easy access to both Little Haven and Board Haven and surrounding areas , lots to see and beaches close by all within walking."
. Although the hill may not suite all ages. Ideal to get those legs fit and good for an excuse if eating at the pubs down the hill... we will definitely visit this cottage and area again.
-
"You have to be pretty mean to give you 1 toilet roll (already started) and no hand soap."
There are a few minimal things I expect when renting a cottage and toilet paper and hand soap are some of them; they at least provided washing up liquid.
-
"Surprised only a single roll of toilet paper provided, no washing up liquid."
Larger tv would be nice
-
"Liked the cottage, but not happy with the cleanliness."
We paid you a lot of money for the week and I don’t expect to have to clean up when I arrive, very unhappy and once I read the visitors book realised this has happened a lot, should have been noted before, and has put us off a lot.
-
"Lovely cottage but needs some work to bring fully up to the standard we expected."
It is clear from the previous comments that some efforts have been made though. Also, more should be made of the VERY steep hill back up from the village, one of our party struggled with this & had to be fetched by car. The postcode given has no relation whatsoever regarding the location & is misleading. Despite all this, we ( the younger members of our party) would probably revisit this cottage again, ( which surprises me too ! ).
-
"A great little cottage for four people, in an excellent location (the hill climb back from the village was a bit taxing for us oldies though!"
). Beautiful scenery, lovely coastal path walks, plenty of beaches for surfing (the two younger members of the party enjoyed Newgale and Freshwater West in particular), and Poppit Sands near Cardigan was delightful. The cottage was well equipped for four people. Only comment - outside space was just a gravel drive (large). A discrete seating area would have been nice. Pembroke Castle very well worth a visit.
-
"First time we have been disappointed."
Both the bathroom and kitchen were below standard. We feel that the cottage was overpriced. My first job was to unblock the shower waste, totally blocked up. TV reception was very poor probably due to the aerial facing in the wrong direction. The kitchen needs an update. The cottage served it's purpose but could have been better. We made the mistake of not reading other reviews, some being quite negative.
-
"A very nice and confortable cottage it has all the eqiipment you need and impirtantly the heating works well."
The cottage is at the top of a quite steep and unlit road from Little Haven so take a torch. Its only a short walk but seems worse after a evening meal. The costal walks are the jewel in the crown for this area.
-
"Great accommodation: bril in every way."
-
"Coffee maker was full of used coffee in the filter."
DVD player is ancient and very noisy. The advert should make it clear there is no wi fi- the greeting info suggests you should be out and about rather than using wi fi, therefore it isn't provided. We should make that decision. The weather wasn't always kind and one of our choices of activity was taken away because the decision had been made for us. I found that extremely patronising. In the downstairs bedroom is a vent. When it was windy - and it was very windy - the vent makes an awful racket. This kept us awake more than once. The quilt on the upstairs bed had a coffee stain on it and had very clearly not been washed. The cottage feels like it needs some money being spent on it and we felt it did not justify the grading. We would not use this cottage again.
-
"There are two properties here and we were lucky that there was no one in the other house (which sleeps 6), as we would all struggle to park and I would have felt overlooked all the time."
-
"I had a good week at this cottage but I think it needs to be made clear in the listing that the sitting out area for the cottage is in the car parking area which is also used by another property."
I didn't feel able to sit and relax outside in what was basically the car park for up to 5 cars.
-
"The cottage was very cosy and very well-appointed."
-
"A lovely cottage, well appointed and everything you need there."
-
"Lovely cottage, great setting."
would recommend it to others.
