  • "Cottage is cosy, ideally situated and well equipped."

Perfect for country walks straight from the door. Only slight criticism is that listing states fuel is included in rental price. To avoid confusion this should be amended to ‘initial fuel’.

Loved the log fire. We had a great week. Lovely friendly locals, we were blessed with the Scottish weather.

Fully equipped kitchen, beds were comfy and the bathroom was spotless. Pepper and Olive also settled very quickly which is a compliment in itself. Would love to stay again.

  • "Lovely cottage in a lovely village."

The cottage was very clean and had everything we needed. Log fire was well stocked upon arrival. Had to balance how we used the taps due to water pressure being a bit low.

Warm, clean, cozy and comfortable. The log burner was a nice bonus along with the complimentary essential (tea, coffee, milk, eggs and biscuit), food basket.

  • "We loved the decor ,the layout of furnishings, appreciated the welcome basket and the cottage's location."

Our dog enjoyed her stay too. We did have some problems operating the shower. We don't know many people who enjoy the same kind of holidays as us which explains why we gave an 8for our likelyhood of recommending the cottage to others. It offers exactly what we need as keen walkers.

Thank you for your comments. The shower is being replaced within a couple of weeks. Unfortunately we could not do this as quickly as we would have wanted. Property Owner

Beautiful place in Scotland. Great for touring the local area too. Cottage was spacious, good furniture, comfy bed, great bathtub, shower was way too hot to use but we had one in the bath tub so all was good to use. Good facilities, especially the dishwasher. Would definitely stay again, no hesitation!

  • "Thank you for providing a wonderful and relaxing stay at Livet Cottage, we've had a lovely week!"

The cottage was clean, well equipped and had everything we needed for cooking during our stay. The welcome basket was also a lovely touch and we really enjoyed the contents! Our two dogs settled in really easily and thoroughly enjoyed their stay too. Parking was easy in front of the property (it's a very quiet road) and the village is a great central location for exploring in all directions! There is a fab village shop and plenty of gift shops if you want to pick up a bit of something to take home with you. We enjoyed finding the fish and chip van that came Tuesday evening too! Lots of dog friendly places to visit in both the local area and further afield. Thank you again for a wonderful stay, we will not hesitate to recommend you to family and friends for future holidays!

  • "The arrival was problematic, as your instructions said to turn left after the square, the carpark and public toilets, but it should say turn RIGHT into Burnies Lane."

Once we found it and settled in we had a lovely time. Overall the cottage worked well and was easy to adjust to. The kitchen facilities were good (responsive hob and good ovens) the care package was nice to arrive to. The furniture, towels and bedding were really nice. Great to have a smart TV. Parking was easy to use (we have stayed in any places where the space to park is a nightmare!). Little things: it would be helpful to have more (breakfast type) bowls as 4 does not allow for much leeway without washing up, also some small sized glasses. The lock on the bathroom needs fixing. The sloping ceilings are more problematic than described. We were not keen on the shower as there was nowhere to put anything e.g. soap.

  • "Livet Cottage was a delight."

It was quiet, tastefully decorated, with many modern features (appliances, fixtures, Wi-Fi, etc.) The beds were VERY comfortable and all linens were luxurious in contrast to some places we’ve stayed. We would certainly stay there again if in the area. With both bedrooms upstairs, it would be difficult for visitors with mobility issues, but fine for everyone else.

  • "Livet Cottage was a lovely place to be for the week of our stay."

It was comfortable, homely, spotlessly clean and welcoming. The cottage was also very well equipped and we had everything we needed to make our time there perfect. We spent every day out exploring the local area so it was lovely to come back and relax in the very comfortable lounge. It was also very handy being so close to the high street without actually being on the main road so it felt secluded without being miles away. The perfect base for a week in The Cairngorms.

  • "This is a lovely, cosy cottage, perfect for two with a kitchen big enough to accommodate the dog’s crate without any bother."

It’s nice to have a little space at the back to sit out on if the weather is good enough. For now, the steep stairs and low eaves are no bother for us - apart from continually cracking my head on them! - and we’d happily stay here again. It would be good to have an actual wardrobe somewhere for hanging up clothes as the back of the door isn’t a great substitute but that’s a minor point in an otherwise very well equipped cottage.

Lovely open fire which we used a few times & a great welcome pack on arrival which after an 11hr journey was much needed.
