"We loved our stay here."
Loved the location and had everything we needed. Would definitely recommend. Steep stairs could be tricky for some, but we loved the quirkiness of it all. Oars for handrails up the stairs. Enjoyed the jacuzzi bath too!

"We thought the property was ideal for us."
It was impeccably presented with great attention to detail evident. Some very pleasing touches like the radio in the bedroom. It was ideally situated and we would hope to return

"A bannister would be good on the stairs."
It was tricky to get the shower to hold a comfortable temperature - it went from very hot to warm in a very small turn of the wall mixer tap. Otherwise all very nice thanks

"Absolutely loved my stay with my dog in this beautiful perfectly located little cottage."
Beautiful decor, very warm and cosy, super comfortable bed and beautiful bathroom. It is well equipped, there wasn’t anything that I felt I needed that wasn’t provided. Fabulous little place.

"Beautiful cottage, loved the decor, had everything we needed for a short stay."

"We enjoyed our stay at Tern Cottage in Aldeburgh."
It had everything we needed for our visit exploring Suffolk. It was conveniently located between the beach and the main street, a central location for the shops and bakery. We managed to find parking in King Street. In Aldeburgh dogs aren't allowed on the beach until the end of September but Dunwich beach, further up the coast is dog friendly.

"Fabulous little cottage So close to the sea and the high street Everything ..."
Fabulous little cottage So close to the sea and the high street Everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay Really enjoyed The White Hart Inn Great atmosphere And breakfast at The Two Magpies On the last day we found a leak from the shower that came through the ceiling into the kitchen I did txt the owners who were very apologetic So I am sure that will be fixed

"Tern Cottage is a compact little property in a great location in Aldeburgh."
It needs a few tweaks to make it better - more crockery, glasses and cutlery would be really helpful as it would mean that the dishwasher would not need to be used quite so frequently. Inconveniently, we could not use the shower at all during our stay because the spray went over the top of the shower screen and soaked the bathroom floor - as it was Christmas/New Year it was not possible to get this fixed. We left after 4 nights :(

About the location
ALDEBURGH
Thorpeness 2.1 miles; Saxmundham 7.2 miles.
The popular, vibrant seaside town of Aldeburgh is famous for its culture, traditional feel and one of the best fish and chip shops in the country! Aldeburgh and Snape Maltings are home to one of the world’s greatest music festivals and has been named as one of the top 50 places to live in Britain. Crag Path runs along the seafront dividing the beautiful pebbly beach from the unspoilt pastel-coloured seafront properties and the town. The beach is a popular place for groups and couples to enjoy the wonderful fish and chips throughout the summer months. The town is steeped in history and has become a wonderful town for shopping with a good mixture of independent and chain stores to enjoy. The town also offers a good selection of pubs and restaurants or why not buy some freshly caught fish from the huts on the seafront and cook up your own feast at home. For those wishing for a more action-packed holiday there is excellent walking, cycling, sailing and golf at Aldeburgh. Growing in popularity you will want to return to Aldeburgh again and again!
