  • "Lovely cosy little cottage, made to feel very welcome."

We enjoyed our stay, the location was great.

  • "A delightful 2 bedroom cottage in a great location."

The bed was really comfy and the settee and chair were fine There was a plentiful supply of crockery, cutlery and kitchen equipment. An amount of mobility is required to negotiate the stairs but that is to be expected in a period property. I would definitely stay there again.

  • "My third visit to this cottage."

Lovely and cosy, warm and the bed is soo comfortable. Sunny courtyard which is private and quiet. My only comments would be, a new more up to date hairdryer and a small coffee table in the lounge please.

  • "Echoing previous reviews, the chairs and sofa, though very clean, were extremely well worn and provided very little support."

Likewise, the kitchen chairs were more like small children’s chairs. We ended up using the garden chairs which were fine. Everything else was of the usual Best of Suffolk standard - comfortable beds, lovely linen, etc.

  • "It’s a lovely cottage with some slightly eccentric plumbing."

We had to unblock the bathroom sink when we got there, which didn’t drain properly. The toilet flush also initially didn’t work until we’d got the hang of it. And the shower head in the bedroom leaked where it joined the pipe, spraying water into the bedroom. The location is great and the cottage is very sweet, but it would have been nice to not have to worry about basic maintenance during our week there.

  • "Lovely sunny courtyard."

Comfy bed. Very well equipped cottage. The owners seemed to have put alot of thought into the property making the best use of space.

  • "We loved the location of the cottage and it was cozy!"

The 2nd bedroom is more of a 1/4 bed or child bed, might want to emphasize that. Also stairs a bit dodgy! The sofa and armchair have seen better days, but still we had a great time!

  • "The stairs were extremely steep and whilst told I feel it should be more prevalent in the description"

  • "Lovely little cottage with excellent furnishings."

Very comfortable beds and chairs. Decor very pleasing. Stairs were very narrow and steep but we managed to negotiate them with not too much trouble. Marked down slightly on the facilities as a workman was fixing the water cistern on the only toilet in the house when we arrived. I think it will need proper attention soon. The property is central to the town and has many places to eat and drink and the beach is close by, all within walking distance. A very relaxing and pleasant stay.

Thank you for your kind review. We are delighted to hear that you thoroughly enjoyed your holiday at 6 Town Steps! As an old seaside cottage, the stairs can be steep for some people to navigate, but we have had them painted with extra-grip paint to help make them that bit more comfortable to use. Our apologies that the workman was still there upon your arrival. We do endeavour to ensure that all works are completed prior to guests arrival, but unfortunately in this instance, with the tight change-over and need to source a new part he did run over slightly. Aldeburgh is a wonderful town to visit, and with 6 Town Steps moments from the heart of it all, and the beach, it is a great property for a cosy break away. Kind Regards Best of Suffolk Property Owner
