"We have stayed at Moot Green House many times to great satisfaction."
As noted in previous years the keybox needs replacing with a larger, more user-friendly model. Of our party of 6 (all in 70s & 80s) only two could get into it reliably(the numbers have faded & are almost invisible in the dark); furthermore it is very difficult to close with the keys inside. Unless there has been a change, when I next visit in December I shall need to collect the key direct from some body as I know I shall not negotiate the present keybox.(I have recently bought one for my home so I know a wide range of accessible boxes is available, some police-recommended.) On a separate note, the emergency instructions in the handbook need(ed )up- dating .My 83- year-old guest triggered a a flood in the bathroom after a tap went haywire after midnight ; instructions to shut off the stopcock were useless as no hint was given as to where the stopcock was located. Finally ( after the poor owner whom we had to disturb told us on the phone - well after midnight - ) where it might be, we had to break into some wood panelling to get to it. We were only able to speak to an emergency person attached to Sykes cottages (miles from Suffolk!) the following morning, who was border-line rude after we expressed frustration at the situation, after dealing with a night of broken sleep & a very upset, elderly guest) . This was all very disappointing, redeemed by the sympathy, kindness & concern of the property's owner, who has created this lovely house, & the pleasant plumber who came to supply & fix a new tap. We were surprised to receive no message or visit from the letting agent.

"This is our 5th year here and we love it!"
We look forward to that wonderful view of the sea, very restorative break in a fantastic house. Thank you’

"We very much enjoyed our stay and the house worked well for our party."
We loved the location and the sea views. Constructive criticism - we weren't aware before arrival that the garden was shared with next door. It wasn't a problem as next door was empty but I think we would have felt very uncomfortable with other people sitting not far from the back door or being in the garden at the same time as us. Also, some new pillows wouldn't go amiss. Definitely a property we would book again. Clean, comfortable, well stocked and fabulous location.

About the location
ALDEBURGH
Thorpeness 2.1 miles; Saxmundham 7.2 miles.
The popular, vibrant seaside town of Aldeburgh is famous for its culture, traditional feel and one of the best fish and chip shops in the country! Aldeburgh and Snape Maltings are home to one of the world’s greatest music festivals and has been named as one of the top 50 places to live in Britain. Crag Path runs along the seafront dividing the beautiful pebbly beach from the unspoilt pastel-coloured seafront properties and the town. The beach is a popular place for groups and couples to enjoy the wonderful fish and chips throughout the summer months. The town is steeped in history and has become a wonderful town for shopping with a good mixture of independent and chain stores to enjoy. The town also offers a good selection of pubs and restaurants or why not buy some freshly caught fish from the huts on the seafront and cook up your own feast at home. For those wishing for a more action-packed holiday there is excellent walking, cycling, sailing and golf at Aldeburgh. Growing in popularity you will want to return to Aldeburgh again and again!
