  • "Meadowsweet is a lovely house in a great part of Suffolk."

The house was so comfortable and well equipped. Brilliant garden for our dogs to run round in and us to sit out in after a day visiting the local seaside towns. The only 'snag' that we had was that one of the doors in the en-suite shower didn't slide closed fully at the bottom due to it being out of its runner. We didn't want to start fiddling with it and water didn't get on the floor when we showered so it really wasn't a problem. If we visit Suffolk again we'd definitely book Meadowsweet again.

  • "The house is lovely, clean and tidy."

The problem we had was being able to install the stair gate. We couldn’t find the spanner. Phoned the number on the key information and although answered had no reply then phoned BOS which was answered but didn’t get back to us. Finally after a long search found the spanner in a cupboard-would of been helpful if it had been left out for us-had a message from I think the housekeeper/cleaner to check we had sorted it but that was the only support we had so I would say that wasn’t very good at all, this was a safety issue. The man to mow the lawn arrived early on our departure day and wanted access to mow the lawn- he said he would wait but we did feel a bit pressured to let him in and as I still had the dog outside in the garden it was slightly annoying. Couldn’t find the microwave manual. Suggestion would be that all the manuals etc were put in a folder and left out so there’s no rummaging in the drawers or cupboard to find them. Apart from the that the house and everything was lovely.

  • "A lovely place to stay."

Bigger than it looks in the pictures. Everything we needed, though an instruction manual for the microwave would have been useful. Very quiet and peaceful. Watered the herbs and had fresh oregano in scrambled eggs. Handy for Southwold and Aldeburgh, Leiston Abbey is worth a visit. The downside was too many artificial flowers and the kettle needs a good descale.

  • "The property is a fantastic holiday home, lovely, comfortable and spacious as well as being well equipped."

I think there are a few issues that need sorting, some of which look to have been suggested before in the holiday book such as; the patio doors having hooks to stop them blowing back in any gusts of wind (when you have young children especially this is a concern they'll get their fingers trapped etc), when you turn the showers on the pressure is so high initially the head shoots up and soaks the bathrooms (although once you've wrangled it the shower pressure is nice), the shower doors don't close properly so they leak, and the bath has a constant slow trickle of water that you cannot stop. The tap in the utility has only a trickle of water coming out. Aside from those maintenance issues, I would highly recommend this property as it really is fantastic and close to so many wonderful places.

  • "Layout and space of the holiday property is great and so well stocked with kitchen equipment particularly."

The children loved having different toys to play with as well. Beds were so comfy, could just do with heavier lines curtains to stop early wake ups but only a minor point. Really well positioned for exploring the Suffolk coast.

It was very well equipped and the fact you provided a cot, high chair and stair gate was a real bonus. We were very happy staying at Meadowsweet and would happily recommend to friends and family.

Such a lovely, welcoming and well equipped holiday home, in a wonderful position, with a super field/meadow outlook in between Southwold and Walberswick. We’ve already put a deposit down for next year ! Many thanks.

When we arrived the door key was missing, so we couldn’t get in a recently bought perishable food was in a hot car. Of the two numbers we had for you the first wasn’t answered and the second was for another holiday company.

The property provided all we needed as a large family group for the weekend and then a good base for the local nature reserves in Suffolk.

  • "The house is beautiful & in a lovely location."

However the showers are almost unusable due to the excessive water pressure (the shower head goes upwards & unable to angle it downwards). Whilst the property looked clean, on closer viewing there was dirty marks on my bedroom table which I was able to clean off. When I retrieved my dogs ball from under the lounge bureau it came out covered in dust/hair etc. Some pans/trays still had food residue on. There are too many trays etc in the kitchen cupdoard, making it difficult to find what you need. The glasses were dull with water marks on the rims (not used rinse aid & left to dry in dishwasher)? Could do with some up to date tourism leaflets. Sorry to find some fault, maybe trivial but worth mentioning, despite which we had a great time in the property.

There is plenty of space for all guests to relax and the garden is very secure if you have a dog. It is ideally located for the area with lovely walks available on your doorstep too, and very quiet. Thoroughly recommended, and thanks again for another lovely stay.
