  • "When we arrived the house felt warm and cosy."

When we had a leak in the shower it was fixed straight away. I was offered a painter to repaint the ceiling which was discoloured with the water which I declined as I'm allergic to paint fumes. During the cold spell I increased the heating and found the warmth released some fleas that were laying dormant. These enjoyed biting my feet and ankles. An offer was made to come round the house and sort it out but I said it was better to leave it until the house was empty. As I was working In Felixstowe it felt like home. I'm still trying to work out the sink in the shower room. As I wet shave, it was a challenge to have a shave but I somehow managed. I enjoyed my stay even with the few problems.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review of 11a Manning Road. We are very sorry that you experienced issues while in house. Regarding the pests, we were unaware of any issues prior to your arrival. We also offered to attend to remedy the issue, which was refused. Since your departure we have attended to this issue, which is now resolved. We thank you for bringing this to our attention and hope to welcome you back in the future. Property Owner

  • "We had a lovely stay at 11a."

It was comfortable and warm. Sea glimpses from the balcony meant I could check the waves before going for a swim. Supermarket a few steps away. We would recommend this cottage.

  • "Like others have said bathroom is small but I don't think the owner has any other option."

We enjoyed our stay the 11a had everything we would want. Two things to note double bed is very soft, car parking in the street is challenging especially on a weekend. But the sea front car park at the end of the street is free 6pm to 8am and reasonably priced at other times

  • "Lovely house, very clean and good facilities!"

Great location for both the beach and town centre.

  • "There is a constant draft from the kitchen cupboard vent."

The heating is inadequate for winter weather, the backup fan heater drys out the air, and oil base radiator would be better, there is no thermostat control on the bedroom radiator. The sink in the shower bathroom is tiny too small to wash. There is no light switch at the bottom of the second set of stairs. The kitchen does not have adequate work surfaces, in place of the table should be a larder and slide out breakfast bar. The toaster is inadequate. Instructions on how to use the washing machine and cooker would help. The table and benches for eating are uncomfortable. As it is winter earlier access to the property when still light would have been helpful. Having the heating on in the middle of winter would have been a comfort rather than having to wait three days for the house to warm up.

Thank you for taking the time to review our property. We are glad you enjoyed your month long stay. We are grateful for all feedback, and have taken steps including replacing the heater for an oil based radiator, a new toaster and instructions for appliances. Thank You Shara Property Owner
