  • "This is a lovely house in an ideal location."

It’s a maximum two minute walk to the sea which means you can shower and get changed at the house after your morning swim. As it’s on the High Street there’s an equally short stroll to the shops and cafes. All three bathrooms worked well with the two showers having very good water pressure. The kitchen easily accommodated six adults for meals and was well equipped. I really enjoyed the abundance of natural light in the sitting room. Two of the bedrooms were a little small and would have benefited from more wall and door hooks as they didn’t have wardrobes but this really wasn’t a problem for us. A washing line would have been perfect for drying the towels etc of six people as the aired provided wasn’t quite big enough. Overall we had a lovely stay.

  • "We have stayed in the cottage for many years (before the kitchen was changed) and really love both the cottage and the location."

Parking space is a huge bonus. The property has everything we need for a comfortable stay. It is generally well maintained and everything works as it should. The only niggle is the smell in the downstairs toilet/shower which has been reported to Best of Suffolk. We have noticed this on other occasions when staying in the cottage but last Thursday it was particularly strong and unpleasant, affecting the whole of the property. Other than on Thursday it didn’t spoil our enjoyment of the cottage and hopefully the owners will be able to resolve the problem. We are looking forward to returning to Seawall next year.

  • "It’s a nice property in a convenient location for the shops, cafe & sea."

The kitchen is well equipped but we had issues with the facilities and maintenance which were annoying. The main shower upstairs had an issue with the temperature dial and was scaldingly hot. It took several attempts to get any support from customer service and the issue wasn’t fixed until halfway through our holiday. The toilet seats were all loose (another potential safety issue) and the gardens were getting very overgrown. The cottage was clean enough, but felt a little uncared for.

  • "A beautiful cottage with everything we could have wanted for our stay."

Loved everything about it. The only negative I would say is the king size bed could have done with a mattress topper (I do usually bring my own but forgot on this occasion) as for us it was rather hard and we could feel the springs. That aside, we will definitely look to book here again in the future, thank you

  • "As noted in the guest book, we had a lovely stay, the house was well equipped and comfortable."

A couple of thing that would have added to the lovely holiday home…a radio for when cooking in the kitchen. Shelving within the shower for ease of accessing shampoos/shower gels (especially for older visitors) a selection of board games/cards - this would have been beneficial for our family. (We purchased some from a charity shop and left them behind). Also on stripping the beds when leaving the property the bedding protectors were very stained. Although it was clean to the eye we feel the property would benefit for a deep spring clean (window sills, skirting boards, edges of carpets/down the side of beds need a really good hoover.) Over all it’s a lovely property but needs a little attention to details. The furnishing and lamps were lovely, cosy and comfortable.

  • "The property has a huge amount of potential."

It’s in a superb location, the beds are very comfortable and the kitchen space is excellent. Comms from the Sykes team were great and the owner was super flexible regarding an additional dog, which we greatly appreciated. The property has such great potential and could get great return customers with some tweaks. We enjoyed our stay in Aldeburgh with amazing places to eat and drink on the doorstep too!

  • "Great location."

There was a lovely vase of flowers on the table when we arrived - looked like they were picked from some one's garden - very beautiful.

  • "Nice cottage, great location, spacious, good facilities and comfortable."

Cleanliness however let the place down a wee bit for example finger marks on glass surfaces, splashes on kitchen unit doors and one of the WCs wasn’t as clean as it should have been. A couple of other points: there was a lack of sharp kitchen knives and no cloths for cleaning purposes, however these were minor points which didn’t detract from our stay.

  • "Property was great."

Location perfect with bonus of off road parking and sunny garden. Bedrooms and bathrooms great along with kitchen. Plenty of crockery and glasses. Only issues were that we didn't find the lounge furniture very comfortable and not sure it would suit 6 people. Would also gave been great to have milk as part of welcome pack. That said I'd there were just 2 of us we will definitely go back.

  • "The cottage is very well equipped however, there are some areas do need improvement: the chairs in the sitting room are very warn, uncomfortable and too low."

The kitchen chairs are also extremely uncomfortable with very sharp edges. We had a serious problem with the shower control upstairs. It is so stiff that when we turned it on we could only got boiling hot water. It was impossible to achieve any cold water mix. We called the maintenance people out who effectively jammed it into a middle position, but the whole unit needs replacing. The location of the cottage is ideal. We thought the instructions that we had to strip all of our own beds, which we did, was perhaps a little bit beyond the expectations of an elderly couple who have already paid nearly £900 for a week. We did follow all of the instructions, including putting the bins out on Sunday night. I noticed that nobody had done this before as the main refuse bin was completely stuffed with multiple old rubbish bags. I don’t know whether you expected your cleaner to be dealing with this, but clearly Nobody was putting the bins out. Perhaps some of our criticisms are linked with our age, the extremely low chairs are very difficult to get out of for someone with back issues or one who’s had joint replacement, but I don’t think anyone other than Hercules would be able to adjust the frozen shower control upstairs! The beds were okay, but seem to have some ridges in the middle. Most of the pillows were far too firm. Luckily we brought our own pillows.
