  • "What a beautiful cottage!"

The cottage was spotless and very well presented. Thank you for the welcome pack that was very much appreciated. The bed was very comfortable with beautiful cotton bedding. We enjoyed the hot tub, we found it did take a while to heat up so plan your day so you can enjoy the tub in the evening. It was great watching the sunset in the evening whilst in the tub! Thank you we had a wonderful time.

  • "The house suited our eleven-strong family beautifully."

Lots of space to lose oneself, warm (both physically an decoratively, well-equipped, great pool table (monopolised by the youngsters), hot tub in the rain and room for a fleet of cars. A lovely house in every respect. Pity about the weather, which was, to put it mildly, wet. Very wet! ps Two small gripes - no compost bin/facility. A pair of kitchen scissors would be nice.

  • "This was a fabulous cottage packed full of features and had everything we needed for a perfect weekend away to see in the New Year."

The hot tub was lovely, it takes some effort as it is wood burning but it is well worth it. I'd suggest a screen to block out the other hot tub if separate parties are staying to give you a little bit of privacy. We loved our stay and are hoping to hire the entire house later this year.

  • "Ruined by hundreds of flies (and I mean hundreds, I have some disgusting pictures of them squished underneath the pillows!"

) in the main bedroom - which the landlord says is to be expected - so you can expect that if it’s cold as he says they come inside to stay warm and just fall on the floor. He said “it’s an old house in the country… it wouldn’t bother me” and his offer of help was to leave a vacuum cleaner for us to hoover them up each day as more kept coming in. We had to move the bed in the day to stop them getting on our pillows as they seemed to come in that side of the room despite all the windows being shut. Thankfully we weren’t staying long and they’ve refused any kind of compensation for the farcical state of affairs. Absolute disgrace.

  • "This property is well located giving a very quiet and peaceful ambience to a stay."

The rooms are extremely spacious and well decorated and furnished. The grounds are attractive and well kept. However, a few things need urgent attention by the owner :-. 1. There is no handrail on the steep staircase which contravenes current Building Regulations. 2. The pull switch for the bathroom light is incredibly, positioned BEHIND the door, which has to be opened fully to reach it - this can be hazardous. 3. There was a serious house-fly infestation in the main bedroom which rendered it unusable, although being just a couple, we used the second bedroom. My last grumble concerns the locked connecting door in the lounge between the adjoining house. Much noise can be heard through this door when the other occupants are using their entrance hallway or kitchen, which abuts the doorway. Bricking it up would seem the only answer here. It's a shame that these problems have marred what is a very fine restored farmhouse, but we did enjoy the stay which was blessed with unusually good October weather. Regards Michael P Keen

  • "We were lucky to be the first people renting this property."

It really did exceed our expectations - the online photos don't do it justice. It was beautiful inside and outside. The house was thoughtfully furnished and equipped (perhaps consider adding a cafetiere). We loved sitting in the yard with the sunset in the evenings, with a seriously good and restful view. We enjoyed local walks and appreciated the suggestions for local amenities in the folder. We left a note recommending the pub at Sibton for eating but also enjoyed other places in Peasenhall and Yoxford. The property is also well placed for visiting elsewhere, e.g. Snape Maltings. We were lucky to be sole occupiers for a week. Perhaps the communal back yard might not always work if two sets of occupants both want privacy. Also, other people might be irritated by our dog! We couldn't find instructions about putting bin out and recycling in the folder. The owners responded amazingly quickly when there was an issue. Overall, a great stay - thank you

Thank you for this wonderful feedback, and we are delighted to hear how much you enjoyed your relaxing break at South Grange Cottage. We hope to welcome you back again soon. Property Owner
