"The cottage was absolutely beautiful in beautiful surroundings and extremely clean, just what we were looking for, for a relaxing weekend away."
We were supposed to stay for Saturday and Sunday night, however, we went home Sunday as there was a Motor cross event on close by that was horrendously noisy. Also there was an engine that I think was pumping water which was on and off all day. We couldn’t even sit and enjoy the garden because of the noise. If we had known about the event we would definitely not have booked.

"A really lovely cottage in a beautiful setting."
The property was spacious and very well equipped. Ideal location for visiting the nearby Sutton Hoo, Framlingham Castle, Aldeburgh and Orford Ness. Enjoyed a nice meal at The Lion. The "famous" bangers and mash was particularly hearty. We can highly recommend a stay here.

"Lovely cottage very comfy."
Excellent site layout Great support when tv wouldn't start owner was round 9 am the next day to sort it.Wished we'd known it had shared access to freezer which wasn't mentioned in your details Will definitely visit here again
-
"Wonderful property and a brilliant base to explore Suffolk."
Had everything we needed, very clean and set in a beautiful location.

"All spotlessly clean."
. some of the slabs in the courtyard are loose and moving not a big issue at present but will need addressing There was no chopping board perhaps an omission? We like having a soak in the bath and we found that there was never enough hot water for a full bath which was a disappointment.. The TV signal strength was never good enough for Channel 4 to work. I even tried to re tune in the satellite box but to no avail. The place was spotlessly clean and idea for those who want a quiet break... Lots of wildlife and nice walks... Ideal for a dog Would recommend even with the small issues.

"We had a lovely stay at Poppy Cottage, very cosy, good facilities & in a great location."
-
"Lovely cottage in a very peaceful spot ."
Would recommend the Lion inn for a good meal. Plenty of good walks near by.

"This is a lovely little cottage, really well situated for lots of places."
The cottage is very comfortable, and the grounds are beautiful. We had fantastic weather which always helps with reviews, but sitting outside watching the wildlife was lovely. Lots of places to go to such as Alderburgh, Sutton Hoo, Woodbridge and Southwold. We also used the 10% off voucher in the associated farm shop near Snape and the food was excellent and not over priced. Thoroughly recommended!

"The only thing is the not very comfortable sofa, probably because it is a sofa bed."
-
"Lovely little cottage in a very pleasant setting."
Nothing negative and would happily book again.

"We stayed at Poppy Cottage over Christmas."
It was cosy enough to stay in and enjoy the peace and quiet of the Suffolk countryside, punctuated only by the ducks on the pond and the faint noise of a train in the distance, while also being close enough to so many wonderful locations when we felt like venturing out. Poppy Cottage is probably the best situated of the cottages in the complex for huddling down in bad weather; it looks out onto the sheltered courtyard, so we never felt battered by the occasional squalls of heavy wind and rain. When the weather permitted, we took trips to Aldeburgh, Sutton Hoo, and Framlingham, all of which were short pleasant drives; the location really couldn't be better. Lyndsey was friendly and helpful, and dropped by with mince pies to make us feel welcome. I can highly recommend a stay at Poppy Cottage.

"Need to be told the radiators did not work and had been replaced with electric ones."
Would save time trying to get them working. Could not fault Lyndsey she was very friendly and helpful. The 10% discount at Friday market great. Will return.
-
"In the descriptions of the area of Poppy Cottage, it stated a 10 minute walk to the nearest pub."
This is not so, at least 20 minutes along a country lane, without any lighting. Apart from that, good holiday.
-
"Poppy cottage was perfect for the two of us and would have suited our dog too!"
Very comfortable and welcoming with everything you would need provided. It was a shame the weather wasn’t warm enough to enjoy the lovely garden and barbecue area.
-
"A well equipped, maintained and presented cottage."
The Covid-19 arrangements were comprehensive and well organised.
-
"Very peaceful, good for dogs as a nice walking area in the mornings"
-
"The signing for “sink farm” was low down on a log making it difficult to spot as we drove by."
, while the sign for the holiday cottages was much more clearly , and largely , printed above. And gave a completely different name. We drove past this entrance twice before stopping to ask at a nearby commercial centre , and being given this information. After a busy drive from London this confusion was very tiring and frustrating.
-
"You show Sink Farm but the sign at the entrance shows Ore Valley Holiday Cottages."
We drove past it to the end of Church Road then realised we had gone too far and had to turn back to find it. The site is excellent. So are the cottages and staff.

"Perfect location to explore Suffolk."
The Weather was a bit cold but the cottage was really cosy and warm. Went there in October would like to go back in the summer.

"Poppy is very lovely but because of Mrs Blythes circumstances in need of some serious cutting back of shrubs etc around the cottages."
This has led to many many flies. We were unable to open windows because of this which in this heatwave was stifling. Cleaning team were a bit hit and miss and didn't leave clean towels or when they did left the dirty ones as well. Overall we had a lovely time. I expected Sykes to have made contacted whilst we were there to check on things. Nothing until now, Hadn't realised you were only a money collecting agent. I have never been to this part of England and we both really enjoyed both the setting of Poppy and the area.

"The cottage was absolutely delightful and the courtyard and surroundings were very well planted out and looked after."
Very tranquil and most pleasant to sit outside at any time during the day. Very good location to tour the area. Essentially everything in general was great but there are a couple of small points we would like to mention. There was no booklet giving details of refuse collections, doctors, places to eat and procedures when leaving; usually found at all previous cottages. Not a real problem as we just carried out what we thought were adequate procedures and left the cottage in sound frame of mind. Also the shower was quite basic off the taps and not adjustable; also no grab rails. May seem rather nit-picking but everything else was really fine and these points just put the icing on the cake.

"The cottage was clean and comfortable."
Parking was good. Lovely outside space but due to the weather we were unable to make use of it. We would use the cottages again.
-
"It would have been good to have had some information about re-cycling - we ended up with a full black bin bag of rubbish, most of which could have been re-cycled."
One and a half loo rolls was a bit mean, but otherwise the cottage was perfect for our needs, and the dog was happy too.
-
"The cottage was well equipped but there is a strong smell of the oil fired central heating when you first enter the property."
The cookies, milk and bread was a nice welcome gesture along with a visit shortly after we arrived to see if everything was OK. Although the property was generally clean, some items are due for replacement, ie toilet brush, towels. Overall, we had a most pleasant stay. Thank you.

"The owners could supply a chopping board (bread board)."
Not good chopping on kitchen surface. It is set in a wonderful setting. The owners are very helpful and we enjoyed staying there.
