"Excellent property in beautiful surroundings."
-
"Superb setting."
Very comfortable beds. Well appointed in every respect. One concern. The post at the bottom of the stairs is positioned in a way that makes you think you have reached the bottom of the stairs, when, in fact, there is another stair to go. This did cause the occasional mis-step when descending. Perhaps a yellow/black strip would highlight this bottom step. Otherwise a very enjoyable stay.

"We had agreat time in Punch cottage and Lynsey the site manager is so on the ball this was our second time staying there and we have already booked again for next year our dog Buddy loves it there to."
-
"The whole place was perfection."
You have catered for and thought of everything. We loved having breakfast outside using the BBQ, the seating area was fab, the little table and chairs in the love hut, the walk around the lake all cut back... Truly a stunning place... We will be back

"Great cottage - good location ."
. shame there is no small enclosed garden or fenced area for dogs to be let out .. we thoroughly enjoyed our stay
-
"Perfect accommodation for a ladies only holiday as we could all have our own rooms."
Comfortable lounge and well provided kitchen. The dogs loved their walks in the lovely grounds. We would be happy to return.
-
"Great property, great facilities."
Only slight drawback is cooking would be helped with a spatula, but otherwise excellent
-
"Lovely cottage in beautiful grounds, perfect for a restful break exploring villages and coast."
Lyndsey, the Manager, was very helpful and ensured everything was to our satisfaction. Will definitely return

"The most relaxing break we have had in years."
The cottage was absolutely perfect. Very clean, well equipped, extremely warm and cosy and perfectly located for exploring Suffolk. The gardens were brilliant and the wildlife that passed through them kept us occupied whilst enjoying an evening G+T. The first cottage (and we have stayed at many) that has had a decent frying pan - two of them in fact! (Regular cottage users will know what we mean!) We shall certainly be returning to this lovely group of cottages in such a lovely part of the world, thank you.

"Beautiful cosy cottage with everything you need."
Absolutely spotlessly clean & very peaceful & quiet. Lots of towels & lovely bedding. Lyndsey & the team made sure we happy & are so pleasant too. Milk, bread, cookies & tea coffee & sugar were left, which is very welcome after a long journey down from Northumberland. We’ve stayed several times & will be returning. Thank you,

Black out blinds in the bedroom would be good as the courtesy light outside was very bright but we really enjoyed our stay and the garden's were very good for walking the dog

"Only observations, very noisy staircase and floorboards."
Otherwise 10/10

"Lyndsey, the cleaning team & maintenance gentleman were all so lovely and friendly, We stayed for 4 weeks whilst renovations were carried out on our house."
Punch cottage was perfect, I noted previous guests comments about slow wifi, we didn’t find this an issue and I was able to work Monday - Friday mostly on zoom/Microsoft teams video calls with no problem. I would highly recommend the Ore Valley cottages, lovely location, and wonderfully comfortable accommodation. Thank you very much for going the extra mile to ensure we were comfortable and happy.

"Punch Cottage was overall very good, in a beautiful and quiet location."
Very comfy beds and well equipped kitchen. Thank you for the milk, bread and cookies left for our arrival and for agreeing to allow us an 11am check out on the Sunday. There were a few things, which could be easily fixed, which let the property down as follows: mould on the wall in the master bedroom ensuite; the master bedroom door would not close completely; there was a missing hotwater tap top in the master bedroom ensuite, the net curtain in the master bedroom did not fit properly, it was too long; the sofas needed a little cleaning; on arrival we found half a toilet roll between the two bathrooms with only one full roll spare which for 4 people we considered was not enough. We would have appreciated a few spare rolls. All rooms would benefit from a deep clean and perhaps a fresh coat of paint. We would make a return visit subject to these concerns being addressed.

"Stayed here many times."
High level of cleanliness & comfort. Ideal location if you’ve a dog - lots of local walks and the cottage is in a beautiful location. Great service - we were asked how we’d like the beds made up (doubles or as singles) plus bread milk & biscuits left for us which is an appreciated touch. Sadly we had to leave early due to illness but we’ll be returning next year.

"A lovely property in a lovely location with excellent facilities."
The only criticism is the lack of some kitchen utensils. The children loved the play equipment and games room. Some noise could be heard from the next door cottage but this is typical of a semi-detached property but not enough to be a nuisance. Highly recommended, would certainly go back again.

"This Cottage is in beautiful grounds which are well kept & the wildlife is fascinating."
The welcome package was a nice surprise & the bread was the best we had ever eaten. The only issue we had was the stairs are quite steep & go round a bend. Two of our party have slight mobility issues but they managed them with a little assistance

"A beautiful farm convert into holiday accommodation, one of 5 units around a small court."
Our accommodate was clean, spacious and very comfortable, with everything we needed to make our holiday a success. The little extras we're very much appreciated - the welcome pack in the kitchen, including bread & milk, and all the necessary items for a family BBQ (charcoals, lighters, equipment etc). The view over the lake was wonderful, and the grounds very well maintained. Dog friendly, but with no secure area, however our pooch loved the walk around the lake. Overall this was a wonderful place for our holiday, and we would love to come back again in the future.

"Punch Cottage was cosy, comfy and well equipped."
A very quiet & peaceful break set in a beautiful landscape. Very dog & child friendly with walks from the house and a huge duck pond. Lots of wild birds in the garden too. With plenty of seating in the grounds it was idyllic to just sit and watch. There was a well laid out communal bbq area, laundry and games room. Even ride on tractors & cars for the kids. The games room was closed for our April visit due to covid restrictions. They had many additional procedures on place that were non intrusive and made us feel safe. We shall definately return.

"Punch Cottage is in a lovely peaceful location."
The Cottage is well equipped, sofas and beds comfortable and the views from the sitting room windows were lovely. There are numerous seats/benches/tables dotted around the lawns in front of the large lawned area and pond - which we used for socialising with fellow guests in the evening. And there was a play area for the children. Would highly recommend this cottage - as it is perfectly located for visiting the surrounding tourist areas.
-
"This was our third visit to Punch Cottage - it suits us really well with the set up of bedrooms and bathrooms."
We love the thumb latches on the doors but they are extremely noisy especially on the bathroom door if you visit in the night.
-
"The Dyson vacuum cleaner doesn't work."
Bigger cereal bowls for breakfast or soup. Food containers for storage of cakes etc. All the rest are fine. It is a well run holiday complex.
-
"Punch Cottage is a relaxing oasis in beautiful Suffolk countryside complete with its own duck pond."
Very comfortable. We loved our stay.
-
"It was an absolutely brilliant holiday - peaceful, comfortable, beautiful surroundings, corn field close by to allow us to live the final bit of harvest and English August sun."
We really could not have had a better time, hated leaving. The games room gave us endless entertainment and we played hours of cricket on the lawn by the duck pond. Our neighbours were extremely friendly and we got on with them very well.
-
"Lovely setting and well laid out cottage - met all our expectations."
-
"Great location to walk to the coast."
Close to a brilliant local pub , great food , huge portions and hospitality. Quiet and peaceful, comfortable and spacious .
-
"There was an issue with the boiler at the property which meant we had to move over to a smaller property and were given a refund, so my feedback is mainly about Horseshoe Cottage rather than Punch Cottage."
Our issue was resolved quickly with help from the Sykes Customer Services assistants and didn't impact too much on our break.

"Lovely cottage in a beautiful location."
Spotlessly clean & everything needed was provided. It’s really private as the living area is upstairs (might not suit less-abled people!) - and very peaceful too. The beds were super-comfy! Lovely ‘extras’ such as milk, bread & biscuits. This was our 4th stay and certainly won’t be the last!
-
"Punch Cottage was probably one of the best cottages we have stayed in, Ideal for coast or country and the grounds were akin to staying in a stately home."
I have only one small reservation in that the toilet and washbasin rooms would be improved with a small shelf somewhere to place toiletry items.
-
"Easy arrangements to access the cottage."
Warm and cosy during a chilly, damp period in April. Our thanks to the owner for a chance to relax and visit the Sandlings.
-
"The cottage was really spacious and open for sharing while cooking, eating and relaxing."
The location was quiet and restful. We were late arriving and owners were really helpful. The cottage made the holiday complete.
-
"Fab cottage fab surroundings would go again."
Would have liked a wardrobe in room with ensuite as had to live out of a suitcase for the whole week. Apart from that great holiday
-
"Great facilities at the cottages, and you don't feel as if you are on top of other people in the other properties."
Very dog friendly, with great walks on the property for the dog.

Lovely barn converted to a very high standard, well equipped, comfortable and spacious, lovely views of Suffolk countryside and lake
-
"The setting was idyllic and the owners were helpful without being intrusive."
The cottage more than lived up to our expectation. We have visited many cottages in the area and this one will be added to our list of favourites. Lovely to wake up seeing the swans and ducks on the pond, we hope to visit again next year.

"Punch Cottage is a delightful and very well equipped cottage."
We went with my sister and her husband and as the cottage has an en-suite and bathroom we had one each per couple. The day living accommodations are upstairs & open plan and very comfortable. The grounds were exceptional with a lake occupied by six swans, many ducks and a boat, together with gloriously well kept grounds. The Games Room was a bonus for us 'big kids' to expel some energy too. There are walks of medium or longer lengths designed for walking the dog. The location of the cottage is good for day trips out being half a mile from the A12, but it is also very quiet and little effected by the proximity. On arrival we were pleasantly surprised with our welcome 'pack' of milk, bread and scrummy cookies. We would like to take this opportunity to thank Mr & Mrs Blythe for facilitating our short break away in such lovely surroundings. Excellent !!
