    Comfortable, clean and great quality of facilities. Well situated in the village and really useful to have a parking space. We would return for another holiday!

Resting in the historic village of Orford, Suffolk, Mundays Cottage has fantastic amenities and is the ideal base for couples or family to enjoy there getaway.

For unloading your belongings park on the road outside of this lovely end of terraced cottage and unpack into the variety of storage available to you, before finding the long stay parking on-road a short walk from the property.

After a long journey, resting your feet in the sitting room is a must as you enjoy a cup of coffee beside the woodburning stove, there is an array of seating for guests to enjoy in the open-plan sitting/kitchen/dining area.

The kitchen/diner section is simply stunning, with striking black and white colours, and the glass sliding doors allowing in seas of light, making this an excellent place for you to cook.

Mundays Cottage sports three great sized bedrooms on the first floor, a king, twin and single, in addition there is a wonderful bathroom where you can relax amongst the bubbles after a long day walking through the countryside.

When it comes to alfresco dining, the courtyard will not disappoint, with a table and chairs for you to enjoy dining alfresco.

This historic Suffolk village with local shops, pubs and cafes where you can grab a bite to eat before heading off to explore the stunning Orford Castle and picnic in the grounds.

If you love history, then traveling a little further to the town of Framlingham to visit another spectacular castle is a must, or there is the option to head over to the coast and visit Aldeburgh, where coastal walks, many independent shops and even a museum make you spoilt for choice with activities.

The attractive, unspoiled fishing village of Orford is situated on the bank of the River Alde and looked over by its magnificent 12th century castle built by Henry II. The village is home to a hotel and restaurant, two pubs, village store, bakers and wonderful fish restaurant and smokehouse. Orford is surrounded by farm land and forest in an area known as the Suffolk Coasts and Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Centrally located, just 12 miles from Woodbridge to the south and Aldeburgh to the north, and just 5 miles from the famous Snape Maltings complex. The village of Orford is steeped in history. Henry II commissioned a castle to be built in the 12th century which is a must see when you visit the area. Owned and maintained by English Heritage you can enjoy this wonderful 'keep' and from the top there are breathtaking views for miles on a clear day.
