  • "The house was fabulous with plenty of space and very clean."

It had everything we needed with enough utensils and plates in the kitchen. The coffee machine with pods was a lovely touch as well as dishwasher tablets. The location was excellent and had plenty of parking available even with roadworks taking place directly outside the property. The only negative was that we were unable to use the games room due to broken cues. This was very disappointing for the children with us.

Thank you for your feedback. We’re really pleased you enjoyed your stay at the house and found it spacious, clean and well stocked. Sorry to hear about the pool cues. We’ve looked into this as we had arranged new cues in previous months. Unfortunately the new cues were stored in downstairs cupboard. We’ve now removed the broken cues and moved the new cues into the games room. But apologies this wasn’t done ahead of your stay. We hope to welcome you back in the future and your children can enjoy a game. Property Owner

  • "Lovely property obviously still under renovation."

Rooms were to die for, wonderful sizes and shapes with the exception of the main bathroom which was very small. Property was comfortable and a little quirky in places. Downsides, minor problem most of the downstairs doors would stay closed making it difficult to restrict my dog and the Games Room which my husband and son were looking forward to use was not only small (which we knew before visit) but did not have a single cue that they could use on the Pool table, one was totally snapped and the other had no tip so no use at all. Very disappointed with Games Room.

Thank you for staying at our property and taking the time to write the feedback. We’re glad you enjoyed staying at the property. I am sorry to hear about the pool cues. Six weeks ago new cues and tips were put into the property so we share your disappointment. We will look at ways to maintain the quality of the games room for future guests. We hope to welcome you back to the house again in the future. Property Owner

  • "The only reason I gave 4/5 for maintenance was that there was a problem with the downstairs toilet."

However, we reported it midmorning on the Monday, and a maintenance man was there the same afternoon - brilliant service! It's a lovely house, very near the beautifully clean beach at Pakefield. We'd certainly return in the future.

  • "We loved the Victorian House, the roominess etc."

We could not find a vacuum cleaner to whizz around and only on the last evening discovered dustpan and brush to sweep up a bit. There seems to be a problem with the drains as the outside drain was always overflowing if we had showers and dishwasher on. The location of being near the sea good and all in all good. The house was well equipped and we enjoyed our stay. Michael Dixon

  • "Nice reasonably priced house."

Bathroom very small and could do with hooks and towel rail. Games room unusable! Host very helpful .

Thank you for sharing this feedback, it was a pleasure to host you and your family. Thank you also for the feedback shared directly. I was happy to hear the kitchen was well stocked and the beds comfortable. I will be in touch to discuss the games room and will make sure any issues are addressed where required. Property Owner

  • "The property was clean however was lacking in comfort."

There were no cushions in the living room and the softs are extremely uncomfortable! The beds are very uncomfortable with one of the bunk mattress springs poking up! The place is run down in places.

Thank you for the feedback and apologies that you found some elements not to be in line with your expectation. We will review those areas of the property and address where possible. We aim to resolve any issues during guests stay and accordingly regret that you did not respond to our communication on the first day of your arrival to check everything was okay with the property. Much of the property has been fully refurbished over recent months and we continue to further refresh where we see opportunities. Property Owner

Garden complete mess so could not use it. General repairs needed around the house. Well situated - close to beach and amenities

  • "À beautiful cottage for 7 persons BUT only 2 spoons, 5 forks, no dish or salad bowls."

No big bowls for tea or coffee. Very insufficient dishes.... The beds are not comfortable. We felt all the springs of each bed.

Thank you for staying at our property. Sorry to hear of the insufficient cutlery, these have now been restocked. We always look to resolve such issues as soon as we become aware and are always available to replenish items during a stay if we are advised. Thank you for the feedback on the beds. We continue to upgrade the property with the garden the latest area to get a refresh, having put in new flooring across the house during the winter and a new kitchen just last year. The beds are largely memory foam and were all replaced last year but we will review them. We hope to welcome you to the property again in the future. Property Owner

  • "I rented this house for my son and his family while they were visiting from America."

The house was warm and welcoming, clean and comfortable, and suited them perfectly. It is in a convenient position for the beach and the town.

  • "The house itself is lovely and decorated nicely although could definitely do with some TLC."

The location for the beach is great and parking good. However we were disappointed at the cleanliness of the house. We appreciate it allows dogs, however we weren’t expecting there to be dog hair everywhere. We could not sit on the carpet to play with the children without getting covered in white dog hair and were not impressed to find black dog hair in the bed (not just one or two hairs either). There is nowhere to hang coats or put shoes because the coat cupboard is full of boxes and with 7 of us staying at this time of year we had a lot of coats and boots. Overall we enjoyed our stay but would not stay in sunshine house again.

Thank you for your feedback. We are delighted to hear how much you enjoyed your holiday at Sunrise House and its incredible proximity to the beach. We are happy to update you that the owners have employed a great new housekeeping team to look after Sunrise House, and the property has had some TLC including a fresh paint and new flooing! We hope to welcome you back again in the future. Property Owner
