  • "Some hooks in the bathroom would be useful."

When returning or leaving in the dark a light over the parking area would be helpful and the walk over wet grass to the door is not the best.

  • "We had a pleasent stay, its a shame the fence does not go round the door,as this was a bit difficult letting dog out last thing at night and first thing in the morning when you are not dressed and faced with other holiday makers seeing you, that said was very clean and warm."

Thank you so much for your feedback. The garden is fully enclosed once through the gate which is just outside the door. We will take your feedback into consideration. Please do come and stay again soon. Property Owner

  • "3 The Almshouses was very clean and well maintained with excellent bathroom and kitchen facilities."

The Lounge was comfortable and stylish and a great place to relax in the evenings. It was only a short drive to the Suffolk Coast where there is plenty to explore. Coming back to a designated parking space after a day out is a big plus for us and one of the reasons we picked this property. Perhaps the mention of “beams and period charm” should have clued us in that there would be LOW beams and doorways. This curtailed the comfort of the taller members of our family who spent the week stooped over. Perhaps this could be added to the description of the property so people as naive as us don’t get caught out? Overall a great property and a beautiful part of the country.

  • "We thought this was a very cosy cottage with a lovely garden for our dachshund."

Would have been nice to have a couple of deckchairs as well as the bench.

  • "We had a fabulous stay in this beautiful cottage."

It was clean and cosy and the beds were so comfortable. We loved the exposed beams and the lovely decor and our dog had fun in the large secure garden. A great base for exploring Suffolk. A blind or curtain at the front door would be good for privacy and kitchen roll and egg cups would be great additions. These are minor points though - our stay was 10 out of 10

Thank you so much for your 5* review. It means a lot to us that you enjoyed your stay. Please let us know if you’d like to stay again. Property Owner

  • "A wonderful stay in a delightful character cottage."

The beds were extremely comfortable and the shower was powerful with lots of hot water. We had many great days out and we’re blessed with good weather. We appreciated the quality furnishings and attention to detail, along with a well appointed kitchen. One comment which may help anyone visiting with a dog, the garden was a good size and whilst there are hedges and fencing, they were too low for our border collie who would have loved to jump over and chase the peacocks, small dogs would have no issue. Excellent stay, highly recommended.

  • "The cottage itself was everything you said it would be in a very quiet and secluded area, an absolutely beautiful setting and the facilities within the cottage itself were very nice."

However, I have to express my satisfaction with your company. I paid you one hell of a lot of money for a three night stay. On Friday and Saturday evening the cottage itself was very very cold. The thermostat doesn’t seem to work when you turn it up. All that seems to happen is the temperature flashes and then it states off. I reported to this to you the next morning received an email and then my next response was after I had left the property , open “was everything okay? “. No it wasn’t okay as I say I’ve powered paid you A very large fee for three nights, the least I expect is someone to be responsive to my enquiries. I fully appreciate that it was a bank holiday weekend, but your line of business is the service holiday customers so you need to have coverage every single day. What if the problem was really serious? What would I have done. I have to say this is certainly tainted my view of your company and ever using them in the future. I am seriously thinking about using Airbnb in the future.

  • "A beautiful cottage in a lovely Suffolk village."

The property is well equipped and stylishly decorated with very comfy beds. The garden gets plenty of sun and is regularly visited by rabbits and the village peacocks. Peasenhall is ideally situated to visit the area from Southwold to Aldeburgh and we would definitely return.
