"We loved our stay here over Christmas."
We had concerns before we arrived because we wanted to cook a full dinner with all the trimmings so I decided to take pots, pans & roasting trays just incase but there really was no need - the cottage has everything & more for cooking & lovely serving platters etc so I was really pleased. We loved that it was so quiet & we weren't bothered by the road noise. I miss the shower already & infact the whole bathroom!! The temperature was always perfect & easy to alter. There was a gorgeous welcome gift for us, lovely biscuits. All in all a really pleasant stay for us & we'd love to go back to try out some of the walks. It was sadly too foggy to enjoy the views & venture out. My partner is 6'4 & yes he banged his head once or twice but the stairs nor the low ceilings put us off at all.

"We were very pleased with our weekend stay at The Cross Wing, High Ash Farm."
We were pleasantly surprised by the amount of thoughtful detail that the hosts have gone into to make their guests' stay comfortable, including a welcome hamper pack with wine, earplugs, candles. The place was super clean. The towels were soft and the bed very comfortable. It was great to be able to adjust the heating level at any time and we felt cosy and warm (and didn't even get round to lighting the fire in the fireplace). The bathtab was superb. It was a stormy weekend so we didn't venture out to as many places we had hoped but Alderburgh was a real delight to walk through in the afternoon - very christmassy with lots of pretty little gift shops and cafes. The only negative comment about the property would be the cluster flies that must've been coming through the cracks but just a nuisance, not a big deal. Would definitely stay here again.

"The cottage is lovey in many ways."
It is very cosy, the bed very comfortable and the bathroom beautiful. Unfortunately we struggled with the height of the ceiling in the living room. My husband is 6 foot 2 and could not stand up straight. I also hit my head on the low door frame. Also the stairs are very dangerous. They are steep (as mentioned in the description) but also uneven and painted white; making it difficult to see clearly. We also couldn’t relax as the garden is not enclosed and we were worried about our dogs getting onto the main road. However the cottage is beautiful and I would certainly recommend it to shorter people with less adventurous dogs.

"A stunning bolt hole!"
We loved the whole cottage and would give it or its ground floor neighbour another visit.

"Excellent little cottage would recommend but not for people with mobility issues as the stairs are steep."
Also the sign for the cottage at the roadside is very difficult to see.
Thank you for your feedback and please that you enjoyed the cottage. Property Owner

"Beautiful property in a perfect location for exploring the area."
The garden was so nice to sit in and felt really private. There is quite a lot of traffic noise at times, but it didn’t trouble us at all. Just something for others to be aware of when booking.

"A cosy and well equipped cottage."
Such a relaxing and enjoyable stay.

"We had a good stay at the cottage."
Unfortunately when we arrived the cottage was inundated with blue bottle flies. We could not get rid of them, and could not work out where they were coming from. There was quite a bad smell in the kitchen, again we couldn’t locate where from. We had to go out buy fly spray and air freshener specially. The fly situation probably went on for about 3-4 days each time we went out and came back there would be another load of flies? Eventually we managed to get rid completely, but we could never quite eradicate the bad odour in the kitchen…. Apart from the above we had a nice stay, it was a bit annoying there was no washing machine or brush. Other facilities were very good.

"Lovely cottage, great location and lovely garden."
Not far from great beaches and historic villages. Well equipped cottage with a lovely nespresso machine. The only thing I would have liked is a broom to sweep up every now and then. The traffic noise is quite high but it didn't spoil anything. The dog had a great time as well.

"The cottage was just perfect for us & our four legged baby."
We all loved its quirkiness & the fabulously wonky upstairs floors. A good & honest description of the property was given..its proximity to the road & the steep stairs! Honestly would not change a thing. Thankyou

"Hello it is a beautiful property and the standard of finish quality of the fixtures and fittings and generosity of amenities is not to be complained about at any level, it’s a lovely cottage with real character and very very cosy."
The only Issue we have had is that for a summer cottage where you want to be in the garden it is not clear enough on reading that the cottage is just inches away from an extremely busy and noisy road. If you want a winter break and will be holed up by that fabulous inglenook fireplace then you will have a fabulous break.

"Generally clean but quite a few cob webs which we know can easily appear also noted that there may be some wood termites in the kitchen as noticed some debris which we noticed on the floor, otherwise lovely stay and would high recommend."

"An absolute little gem, this property is in a fantastic location surrounded by fields, although close to the road you wouldn’t think you were, so quiet and peaceful."
The fields are well thought out with the paths around the edge our dog loved it. The property itself is really quirky and cosy, everything you could need and the bathroom is fantastic. One little moan about the low door frame into the lounge, maybe it can be highlighted some way. Highly recommend this property

"V good small but well equipped cottage."
Kitchen had everything you needed and a cosy lounge with log fire was perfect for a winter break. We had no hot water on our first evening but management company were quick to respond and someone was on site in the hour and fixed the fault .
