• "I’ve been coming to stay here for 19 years!"

  The only accessible sea view property in Southwold. I’m a wheelchair user although the last few years I can now walk around a house. I love the new carpets, decor, new kitchen units and especially the patio door in the front bay window. For all these years we’ve been saying that was the one thing the property lacked. To be able to sit outside at the front. It was even warm enough two mornings last week to have breakfast outside! We’ve already got a week booked in September.

• "First of all our stay started with the problem that we we were given a wrong code for the key-safe."

  Only after some telephone-calls we got the correct code and eventually were able to enter the flat. The flat is fine - especially for us - only two persons. But !!! - we hadn't been warned that there is a building-site next to our seats in front of the house. We would have expected to be informed about this and would have appreciated to have been offered a slight reduction of the booking fee. In the past we stayed in different flats in THE CRAIGHURST. Last year we were informed two weeks before our arrival (!!!) that our booking must be cancelled due to building-works. So THE CRAIGHURST doesn't give us only pleasant memories...

  Many apologies we were not aware of any repair works to the side of the building. Best of Suffolk are available for guest queries before and during your stay. The keysafe code does change for security reasons and guests receive the latest code in the days before arrival. • "Unfortunately the fire alarm did go off twice during our stay for no apparent reason - was soon sorted after following the instructions."

  The T.V. remote had a mind of it's own! For a disabled person more grab rails would be useful in bathrooms. Other than that it is a very well situated apartment - very spacious indeed. We hope to return as it is very rare to find accommodation like this which suits our needs because my husband is disabled.

• "We loved the property."

  It was very well equipped for self catering. The property is perfectly situated for both shops and the beach. Our only criticism was the shower in both bathroom and ensuite needed new hose. They were both completely inflexible, making it impossible to use, particularly the one in ensuite.

• "Delightful flat, perfectly situated in the town with a beach view."

  Mum loved her break there and watching the world pass by from the chair in the bay window when she was too tired to walk. Despite its location on a busy road we found it very quiet, no road noise of from our neighbours. We did have a problem locking the lounge door and couldn’t locate any specific instructions explaining how to, but as the door couldn’t be opened from outside it didn’t hinder our holiday. Looking forward to booking again next year

• "This property was chosen as my father is 85 and has limited mobility."

  We were able to accommodate his mobilty scooter, wheeled walker and toilet frame making it a real home from home. The view is stunning and the location perfect for the Pier and town centre. Everything was within walking distance, even for my elderly Dad.
