"We loved our visit to Southwold and felt very comfortable staying at Driftwood."
Loved the decor and facilities. Everything was clean and tidy and still felt very homely. We did use the pull out bed and found the mattress cover, pillow and duvet, however, no linen was provided. Luckily we had a sleeping bag in the car. Just wanted to note that the stairs are steep to the bedrooms.

"The only suggestion I would make is to leave a tabletop reminder about bin collection day!"
Many thanks for the review and glad you enjoyed your time at Driftwood. The bin reminder is something we have been thinking about and a very valid point as many guests forget and the council will only collect from the street.so we will action this as soon as possible. Property Owner

"Good location for beach / high street etc."
Noisy with neighbours next door and below but a lot of space and rooms. Not very clean, sofas dirty and not vacuumed. Carpets not vacuumed well. Dusty surfaces. Towels very old and over used with stains on them. Recommend take your own towels. Bed linen clean but stained with use so not very appealing to sleep in. Beds comfy. Great bathroom and shower and always hot water. Very warm on top level where you sleep when the weather is hot and very small windows to let air in. The kitchen has everything needed but again needs a good clean everywhere (cupboards and cutlery draw etc). Door to flat is an internal door so not hugely secure but it does lock. The neighbours below kept leaving the main front door open. Perhaps needs a sign / reminder near the door to make sure people close it securely on the Yale.
My sincere apologies for the things you were unhappy with in our apartment. I will notify the housekeeper as this is something we have never had a problem with before. The bed linen is very high quality, high thread count cotton and is constantly renewed, as are the towels, so I am not sure what has happened there. The bookings have been so busy this year I have not been myself for a couple of months so will endeavour to look over everything as soon as possible. Had you complained to Best of Suffolk as soon as you arrived I would happily have sent the housekeeper back in to sort everything for you. I do hope you managed to have a nice holiday regardless. For anyone reading this review and considering Driftwood, this is really not the normal kind of review we receive so I do hope you will still consider us. Property Owner

"Our second stay at Driftwood."
It's a really lovely property. Comfortable and well equipped. The bedrooms are beautifully decorated and we love all the artwork and books. Excellent location and ideally placed with walks in all directions. Would highly recommend.
