"Good property in great location."
Access a little temperamental - Yale and bolt locks at the front a little old and intermittent. Access to rear via alleyway doors not as clear as they could be. TV needs to be upgraded. No terrestrial TV and old Sky facilities. Pole to open skylights in kitchen ceiling would be helpful. Otherwise a spacious and well-equipped large cottage in an ideal spot in Southwold.
We appreciate your feedback and have taken required actions. We have upgraded the TV and it is now very straightforward to use. We agree with your comment that Kestrel Cottage is an ideal spot to enjoy Southwold - we love the location. As winter approaches there's nothing we enjoy more than a bracing beach walk then return to warm up in front of the wood burner. Property Owner

"Our stay in Kestrel Cottage couldn’t have been better - so near to everything needed, coffee shops, eateries, pubs."
Glorious walks with our dog along the prom, then onto the dunes to let our dog Buddy run free: then across to Walberswick, on the ferry, such a beautiful Village, which we loved. Two small recommendations though, coat hangers in the hall & frosted glass in the bathroom.

"Excellent cottage for location right by the sea and the high st let alone the gelato."
-
"There was broken glass from a bottle on the patio - i did try to tidy up and tried to call Skye today to let them know as we checked out on a sunday."
unfortunately one piece went in my foot! Aside from that outstanding! Just glad it was not my children.

"We've stayed in many Southwold holiday lets and this has to be one of the best - comfortable, bright, spacious, well-equipped, a sea view from the top room, and an unbeatable location."
We'd book to stay here again next time for sure!

"This is our second stay at Kestrel cottage."
We enjoyed the cottage and Southwold very much , also the closeness of the beach is amazing. You can literally smell the beautiful sea air all day and all night , we leave the windows open its so refreshing . The only thing that we feel needs an upgrade is the TV. Although there is a sky box many of the channels arnt available. BBC is only available via I player, which is inconsistent. Although staying in to watch TV isn't important, it's nice to have available is required , after all it's advertised in your write up.

"We enjoyed our second stay in the house as much as the first."
This time we managed to get the TV to work - it is quite a complicated process. This time there were dishwasher tablets and washing up liquid etc. A lovely well appointed and perfectly located house. We Would definitely stay there again.

"We had a fabulous week staying in Kestrel Cottage - we all loved it."
Great central location for accessing all the delights that Southwold has to offer - its only 93 paces to the Lord Nelson! The property was more spacious than we were expecting - a bit like entering a tardis and we particularly loved spending time in the big social dining kitchen leading directly out to the sun trap courtyard garden. The kitchen was really well equipped which we appreciated as a couple of our party love to cook. Everyone said the beds were comfy and they slept well. Would definitely book again :-)

"Absolutely loved our stay, stayed in a number of properties in Southwold and this is the best one by far."
The layout and position were perfect. Would definitely like to stay again.
-
"We loved every aspect, location was perfect and the house was very well equipped."
The only concern was the steep flight of stairs to the master bedroom. It should be noted in describing the property as having an older (86) husband I was very worried about coming down at night to use the loo. So we didn’t use it.

"This was the second time we have stayed at Kestrel Cottage - the repeat booking made primarily because of the location and what the cottage offers in terms of space, layout and amenities."
The cottage was presented in immaculate condition and the addition of the hut in the garden is a great improvement!

"We couldn't have chosen any where that suited us so well."
All the rooms were big are airy. The kitchen diner was amazing and looked out onto the patio garden with a beach hut at the end of the garden. It was south facing so sun all day. The bathroom was 1st class with a corner bath and walk.in shower. This is the only holiday let that provided facilities for baking ie hand mixer, scales , cake tins. This was great for me as I'm Coeliac and bake all my own cakes. Southwold has an abundance of shops and eateries. We found a place called Coasters that catered for my gluten free/dairy free diet The only disappointment was the TV. Although there was Sky , the majority of the channels weren't available via the account . It didn't affect us too much as we had good weather, but as another customer pointed out they couldn't watch TV. All in all we had a wonderful holiday. We love Southwold and everything about it .

"We thought the property was equipped to a high standard and very comfortable."
The kitchen/diner was large and well equipped. I would recommend it and would stay there again. The basins in the bedrooms were a bonus. I would not want to stay there with 6 adults the property is too small with one bathroom, we were only 2. We found the TV almost impossible to work and could only get obscure American channels.

"This property was so perfectly located that it felt like we had hired a beach hut on the beach which turned into a spacious 3 bedroom house when you walked inside."
It was so perfectly clean, wonderfully stocked and was everything we could have wished for. The only downside was that we didn't stay longer. Thank you for having us. We'll definitely be back.
