  • "A great property to use a base, very clean and the owners have clearly thought about what you need."

Right near the high street and would recommend the Cornwall bakery for croissants in the morning. A couple of minor points which didn't affect us as we didn't eat meals but there are only two chairs and for somewhere that sleeps 4 you can't really eat a meal together. Also bed linen was a bit tight for the bed so kept pinging off. These are really minor and we would love to come back again.

  • "Lovely holiday cottage and surprisingly quiet considering it's location."

Would highly recommend Mycroft and would certainly stay again. Enjoyed the welcome gifts.

  • "This was a lovely, bright, modern mews house."

Very comfy and well furnished, with plenty of plates, cups etc. However toilet needed a good clean, with bleach etc as bowl stained, which I sorted! Loo brush and holder needs throwing away. As the property has hard water, dishwasher didn't clean, so hand washing needed. May need replacing. Shower needs sorting as too low and couldn't move up handrail.

  • "We were generally happy with the holiday property, it was situated in a quiet location, and close to the town."

We thought the bathroom needed an update, the shower was difficult to navigate. We didn't find the bed very comfortable, but that maybe just personal preference.

  • "Location great handy for shops but v quiet."

Didn’t use car all week. Great local walks. Very comfortable and well equipped Good to have seating outside front and back. Front sunny in morning. Rear in afternoon. Spare toilet rolls would be good and kitchen roll - or alert guests to bring them. Spot light not working in kitchen and French doors v stiff -need attention.

  • "Always a real joy to stay at Mycroft."

Huge bonus is the off road parking and also close to the shops and eating places. Not too far to the sand dunes to walk the dog via short cuts, common etc. Lovely accommodation and can sit in the front garden or the back, to enjoy a cuppa in the sun, whatever the time of day. Perfect. Thankyou.

  • "Well packaged house extremely convenient location in town."

Internally it was clean - though the oven interior was extremely dirty -and tidy Only real issue was a lack of window cleaning that required immediate attention and the neglected gardens f & r. Over our stay the house functioned well apart from a dishwasher that ran but failed to clean on any of its 5 settings inspite of salt and rinse aid being filled and thexradio was hopeless. I'd say the shower head needs attention to its mounting as it slipped in use and the shower door should be supplemented with a fixed panel to reduce splash. We enjoyed our stay and would book again.

  • "This was our second stay at Mycroft with our dog."

It’s a lovely property in a great location within easy walking distance of the beach & town centre. The property has all the home comforts you need for a relaxing holiday we will be returning again next year hopefully

  • "Clean and well maintained property."

On-site parking a real plus for a town centre house. The small courtyard was a real sun trap. Really close to town with a range of shops and eateries as well as beach. The property was just as described on the site. Only minus was small dining table and the easy chairs not very comfy. However would definitely recommend Mycroft.

  • "Very well equipped and finished cottage."

Passed the sofa test with flying colours (could sit on it in comfort and not sag almost to floor level!). Nice to have a smart tv and the undercover parking space was a real bonus. Would love to go again but may be outside of our price range if the autumn discount is removed. Overall one of the nicest holiday lets we have rented in Southwold
