  • "A great property central to everything in the town."

With short walks to the beach and the shops. Design was modern throughout and the property was generally clean.

  • "For anyone, Sweet Pea is the perfect house in the perfect location."

Within 30 seconds in one direction there is the Adnams cafe where you can get your morning coffees and pastries and, less than 10 seconds in the other direction, there is a large swing park and green, which my six year old daughter thoroughly enjoyed. The house is also a very short walk to the high street and brilliant beach. The house itself is clean and bright and also cosy at the same time. It has everything you could possibly need and felt like a real home from home. Tea towels, oven gloves, dishwasher tablets and other cleaning items were available. There is also a washing machine, dishwasher, clothes airer and to use. The welcome gift was very thoughtful. We parked very near to the house to unload and were able to quickly find parking for our stay on the main road afterwords. It’s rare that I stay somewhere and immediately look at the future availability, but that is exactly what I’m doing with Sweet Pea. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

  • "Such a lovely house - great location for children, being next to the park and close to the shops."

The decoration was modern and the house was clean. Plenty of space, the ceilings were higher than most properties in the area. It offered all the necessary appliances and the beds were comfortable. The only improvement required would be the leaking shower.

We enjoyed our stay very much.

  • "The property description clearly describes a washer dryer but there is in fact just a washing machine with no drying function."

Slightly annoying when the family packed thinking we could easily wash & dry a change of clothes. Raised with Best Of Suffolk during our stay and no reply.

  • "Thanks for the welcome pack."

We could not find the visitors book. We had dinner each of our 3 night in the local restaurants recommended in the information folder. The Swan and Crown were very good for food, service and all round hospitality. The Sutherland was very disappointing. The food was not freshly cooked, service very quick, giving the sense that it was organised to suit the staff and not the customer. The bathroom light may need to be replaced as it was constantly flickering. We really enjoyed our stay in Sweet Pea and plan to return. Southwold is a lovely place to visit and explore.

  • "Lovely cottage in a central location, but tucked away from the main routes."

Lovely front and back garden but in need of some cleaning and maintenance to gardens. Possibly a bistro table in front to catch that evening sun would be good! Beds very comfy, kitchen has everything one needs and plastic stuff for children was amazing to find. Main bathroom, side of bath panel has water damage and is warped, around window tiles could do with some cleaning of general black mould but appreciate it’s been a damp summer. It would also be an idea to trim the Laurels at the side and clean it up so one could sit on the bench - possible some wasps nest in these which was a small issue. Despite this very small things, it was a wonderful holiday and we would absolutely return without hesitation.

  • "We had a lovely stay at Sweet Pea."

The property was light and airy, tastefully decorated and very comfortable. It had all the equipment we needed for our stay. The location was excellent and very handy for getting to the High Street and local beaches which was good for us since we arrived by public transport. The welcome basket was a lovely touch and much appreciated.

Nice to stay in a well designed modern development.

  • "Property was clean and had all amenities and a great location."

That said the listing cited the property as dog friendly when it is not - low open shelves containing plates, bowls, no garden for dog to toilet - we didn't think that would be a problem as the description states that it is next to a large green, which it is. It fails to mention that dogs are banned from the grass. Also parking was an absolute nightmare. It states plenty of street parking - there is not. Each day we had to search for ages for a parking space and ended up a 15 min walk away - we were told that is normal for Southwold, but as this was our first visit it was a shock

  • "The house is great and centrally located."

The rooms are well equipped and comfortable Only thing missing in kitchen was a toaster (unless it was hidden!!). Welcome gift was a very lovely touch too.

  • "Very comfortable stay in Sweet Pea."

Really good location. A few practical suggestions. We arrived after dark and struggled to locate the property initially. A torch is essential after dark. Also already mentioned in visitors book we had difficulty locating the cutlery drawer. Overall we really enjoyed our stay.
