  • "The house is brilliant."

Everything from the most lovely artwork to the hotel-like sleep experience .Where did those pillows come from ? It is so close to the pier and beach and only a short walk into town plus it has the added advantage of having parking.Thank you Cecily for your help.We will be coming back as we enjoyed our stay so much..From the Yorkshire pals.

Thank you for such a lovely review. It was a pleasure to be in touch with you during your stay, and I am so glad you enjoyed your time here. You were perfect guests. Looking forward to next time. Property Owner

  • "Well located property- very close to the beach and pier and only a short walk along the prom into town."

Property was very spacious and well equipped. Garden does need some tidying up so users could make more use of it….especially the area around and under the bridge. Overall though a very enjoyable stay and would return.

Thank you for your feedback. I am very glad you liked the location and the property as a whole and thought it was well equipped--that is our goal. Apologies that the garden was not up to scratch. It grows very fast in the summer, and we like to keep some areas a little wild for nature's sake, but apologies if the areas that should be tended to had escaped the gardener. It is very helpful to get your feedback. Property Owner

  • "We had a wonderful holiday and we loved the house."

It's so light, airy and spacious. The lounge furniture is comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. The washing machine and dryer were excellent. We liked the bridge to the upper floor and the garden surrounding the house and we liked the fact that it is so close to the sea. It is maybe the best holiday home that we've ever stayed in.

Thank you very much for such positive feedback and delighted you had a good stay. I love the house so am very pleased when others do too. Thank you. Property Owner

  • "We liked the position of the property and the facilities offered."

We had a good holiday and would choose it again. We enjoyed the well-equipped kitchen, used the open fire in the evening, and the garden, and the garden table/chairs. We were nice and warm. Thank you! We had texted the owner using the number provided to separate a double bed into 2 singles, but this wasn't done. The owner was supportive when we phoned but we had to find the right linen and do it ourselves, which was a bit of a stress when we arrived. The downstairs walk-in shower is very small and the handbasin minute. The upstairs shower needs to be wall mounted. The downstairs double room really isn't big enough for the small double bed. There seemed to be a lot of flying insects in and around the house, and we got bitten.

We are so pleased that you liked the house and facilities and enjoyed your stay. The upstairs bathroom now has a wall mounted shower. So sorry about the linens--has never happened before and thank you for being so understanding. Having a garden and being in the country means we do have the usual bugs, but we always clean thoroughly within the house. Property Owner

  • "We were very happy with the house and the way everything was organised and explained."

We found the cot a bit tricky to assemble and fold down, and the downstairs shower, loo and wash basin a bit cramped. Minor issues ... overall, the house was very well equipped and very comfortable.

So glad you enjoyed your stay. The cot we are told is standard to open up and just needs a nice shove to get it closed! You can always leave it open for us to do. Property Owner

  • "Had a great fortnight in Southwold staying at the Bridge House starting with a lovely surprise of Prosecco and biscuits!"

Pretty much all you could need for a holiday is provided and the availability of an onsite EV charger was a huge bonus for us. Some of the foliage around the garage area could do with a bit of a prune. But having said that, a gardener was around on the day we departed! On the whole though, the garden is a lovely, relaxing area. The property is in an excellent location and you can be down at the beach or pier in two minutes. Also, Southwold is just the best isn’t it?!!

Thank you so much for your lovely feedback. We are very glad you enjoyed the house. Property Owner

  • "Generally the house was lovely and the kitchen really well equipped."

The main issue we had was the small shower room with tiny wash basin. Not really suitable as an alternative to the upstairs bathroom. The front garden area was also needing attention, weeding and patio furniture cleaning. However the location was great and the parking very convenient.

So pleased you liked the kitchen and house overall. We are very fortunate to be so near the beach. The front garden, especially the bank, is left as a rewilding area during the summer to encourage the bees and wild flowers--hence the long grasses. The back garden with lawns and beds is maintained in a more traditional way. Apologies if the patio furniture needed a clean--it is hard to keep apace with all the wild birds in the garden! • "Compared to some, Bridge House is very well equipped."

Great cooker / plenty of fridge space / every gadget imaginable / masses of crockery and finally an excellent set of knives! Great bed and super towels. Property was nice, clean and tidy on arrival. Thank you for the wine and biscuits!

Thanks so much for your feedback. Delighted you had such a nice time! Property Owner

Doors to the garden from the living area and kitchen make this a great holiday home for families in the summer months, and the wood burner adds a cosy touch in the winter. Secure parking for two cars in such a prime location in this seaside town is a huge asset, there is also the added benefit of an electric vehicle charging point! Ground floor The main entrance to The Bridge House is off the drive, opening directly into a welcoming hallway with access to the double and shower room, stairs rising to the first floor and opening to the living area and kitchen ahead of you.

The original five finger oak parquet with a light stain runs through the majority of the ground floor. Living Room Effectively open plan with entrance off the entrance hall into this stylish living space, and opening into the kitchen/dining room.

The dining table has six chairs with an extra couple of folding chairs in the utility room for extra guests.

The zip and link super king size bed allows you to choose a twin on request or double configuration with an additional pull out bed (2’6” x 5’9”) for a child if needed.

There’s ample storage in the wardrobe with a chest of drawers there too as well as bedside tables. Garden Bedroom Sitting quietly at the back, another bright bedroom with double bed, bedside drawers and wardrobe with both hanging and drawer space.
