  • "Overall a nice stay in Thorpeness."

Great location, brilliant pub nearby, beach walks very close also. The house overall was a good base but we felt a bit let down by the cleanliness. There was a vase with mouldy old flowers left on the window ledge, the windows both back and front where filthy, highlighted even more by the beautiful sunny days we had! A few of the mugs that we pulled out the cupboard where filthy. You also have a leaky kitchen tap, it was dripping constantly from the moment we arrived. Very annoying when trying to read a book in the living room. Would gave reported but time just got away from us and we wanted to enjoy the trip rather than feeling like we were having to advise for a plumber! The double bed in the first floor en suite room wasn't a very comfortable experience for my parents.... it's noisy; creaking everytime you move! We had a pleasant week, but would not return to this property.

  • "A microwave would have been useful but otherwise perfect."

Lovely touches such as diffusers and quality soaps.

  • "We had a lovely few days at No 8 , comfortable living area, kitchen had everything needed to create a meal also stacks of crockery which makes a change."

Bedrooms , great size lovely bedding and thank you for providing so many hangers . Sadly the only reason I didn’t give full marks was the state of the garden area , could do with a good sweep and wash down, overrun with weeds around the edges , not very inviting to sit in every thing was filthy. The house was great but could do with a deep clean.

  • "Lovely cottage, thank you."

Beautifully clean and luxurious. Lounge a little cluttered and couldn’t work the fire on the table but that aside fantastic!

  • "We had a wonderful stay here in mid October."

Thank you! The cottage is well placed in Thorpeness - a stone’s throw from the beach and the village pub. And the village is all easily walkable. The cottage itself was stylish and comfortable - we were very happy staying there for a week and would definitely recommend it. The water pressure was great and the beds very comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped too. Thank you! The cottage is well placed in Thorpeness - a stone’s throw from the beach and the village pub. And the village is all easily walkable. • "A lovely, clean holiday home in a great location."

The beds are very comfortable and everything is of a good quality. There were lots of very helpful extras; spare dogs lead, poo bags, phone chargers, Dyson fans in each room (it was warm upstairs even though the weather wasn’t, so they were very welcome), cleaning products and cooking products. The description is not clear about the garden which is a good sized patio space with good quality garden furniture and a gas bbq. The Dolphin pub is a few minutes stroll and serves great food, and the beach is also a couple of minutes away. Thorpeness is a pretty, quiet village. The only thing I would mention is that the twin room could do with some clothes hanging space but as we were one family group we shared with the double room.

  • "Normally would have been happy with our 7 day holiday but due to the unaccompanied teenagers next door who made noise till midnite in the garden and only went inside when we ask them to please reduce the noise, they then proceeded to make noise inside the house from midnite to 6 am the following day."

After this we left the house after 2 night stay. Our property did not allow unaccompanied teenagers but unforntuanately the house next door did. Not a happy experience.

  • "We had a great visit to a place we have often rented before & nothing really disappointed us."

Regarding the property, positively it was well presented (its only a few years old), its very well furnished down to the high quality linen, towels and toiletries - even high quality Dyson fans were provided for each of the bedrooms. The top of the stairs bedroom is amazingly spacious - its a pity it hasn't got an ensuite bathroom. The other two bedrooms are more than adequate. Couple of negatives - the dining table is on the small side for eight adults. The outside space would better be described as a courtyard - it's well equipped with seating & a gas barbecue - a few more pot plants with some colour would have been nice. Overall a great stay.

  • "We were a party of three adults meaning I had to use the single bedroom which I knew but did not expect to live out of my suitcase nowhere to hang clothes."

And very little draws. There was no garden just a slabbed area which could do with a clean up looks like not been used this season .we had trouble getting on wifi and due to lack of an information pack which I notice had been reported on previous review we had to contact you to sort it not understanding it was linked to the sky tv a simple information pack on the coffee table would have saved yours and our time. The key entry needs to be explained in your write up or pre holiday email.

  • "Folder containing instruction manuals for electrical devices, in particular wireless central heating control panel, would be helpful."

Arrival information should explain how to open and close front door, as the latter was not obvious.
