  • "Very comfortable accommodation, and well placed to explore Suffolk coast."

Near to pub was a bonus! We wished we had booked for longer, and will rebook in the future.

  • "Lovely holiday home in great location for exploring Suffolk."

Comfortable beds so we all had a good nights sleep . Very well equipped kitchen, although no milk left for us on arrival, which was very unusual and the first time this has happened when renting a home . The fridge freezer broke the day before our arrival and the owners had a counter top fridge delivered whilst waiting for a replacement. This was appreciated but we couldn’t get very much in it which was a bit inconvenient. My only minor negative was the bathroom towels could be better quality .

Thank you for your review, I appreciate it was inconvenient but I did try my best in difficult circumstances - as for the towels I will see if they need replacing next time I’m in thorpness Property Owner

  • "Excellent property, very well equipped."

Location fantastic. My issue is with Sykes, not the property:- Disappointed that there was no service( ie clean sheets) mid two week stay, even though we had asked Sykes to arrange before our trip. An inventory of equipment would have been useful…..another enquiry to Sykes, this time not ignored, but rather than check, Sykes said iron and ironing board not at the cottage…..they were!

  • "Absolutely excellent accommodation, was clean and tidy with lovely fragrant freshness throughout."

Lots of thought had been given to making visitors welcome and comfortable which was much appreciated by ourselves and our four legged friend, Pip. A really comfy bed and loved the decor in all rooms. The location was just right and the sound of the waves on the beach in earshot added to our holiday mode! We hope to return to 9 Oaks Court in the future.

  • "A lovely house in a lovely setting - the fabulous, quaint village of Thorpeness."

The house was clean, and well equipped. There is so much to do in this part of Suffolk, the walks on the beach were a delight, as were the pub lunches. The nearby town of Aldeburgh is a wonderful place to visit.

  • "Lovely, quiet, comfortable property, situated perfectly for the beach."

No shop in Thorpeness so a trip to Aldeburgh is needed for your morning paper but loved the house.

  • "Good location."

Very clean. Bedrooms fine. Lack of kitchen equipment. No tea pot or water jug. Only 2 small saucepans supplied. No bin bags. 1 dishwasher tablet.

Unfortunately the first cleaner we had was not up to our standard, I did not realise she was only supplying one dishwasher tablet. We have since stopped at our property and have changed cleaners who are lovely and we have also made sure there are plenty of dishwasher tabs and washing machine tabs. Property Owner

  • "9 Oaks Court was just perfect."

A fantastic house, beautifully furnished, comfortable, quiet, with everything you need, a real home from home. The location is amazing, I think Thorpeness is the prettiest place we've stayed at, with a boating lake, pub, 2 cafes, a golf and Country club, and the beach a couple of minutes walk away. We did the easy 2 mile walk into Aldeburgh along the coastal path which made the location even better. Can't recommend enough.

Thank you for your lovely comments, we are very glad you had a nice time Property Owner

  • "We had a fab time here."

Comfortable, well equipped & in a great location. Our only suggestions for the property owner are; a.To fit a blind in the kitchen as it was very hot each morning. b.To provide 2 electric fans as v hot upstairs at night. c. Provide some dishwasher friendly wine glasses, as those in the kitchen are too big to fit in the dishwasher.

Thank you for your feedback and we are pleased you enjoyed yourselves Property Owner

  • "Lovely property."

2 comments to make. There was no road sign at the entrance to the court to confirm we had found the right property. Although there was a dishwasher in the property, a lot of the crockery was not suitable for dishwashers.
