  • "Fantastic cottage good location to visit plenty of nearby places."

The torch may need replacing it didn't seem to work even though we replaced the batteries . The backup windup torch was fine.

Hi Jayne, thank you for posting such a positive review. We think Sea Green Cottage is very special too. Sorry about the torch! New one on order. Amazon to the rescue…. I hope we can welcome you back on another occasion. Property Owner

Unfortunately we had a problem with the boiler that left us with no heating and hot water . The assistant and help they tried over the weekend were superb and although not sorted they tried and we survived. Would definitely go back .

Perfect location for relaxation and plenty of walking routes. Unfortunately there was no hot water on our last day, but who doesn’t enjoy a freezing cold shower in the morning. Would definitely book again.

  • "Sea Green Cottage is an extremely, stylish well thought out holiday cottage."

With a good quality kitchen into a light airy open plan sittings room / diner. The large terrace is a great solution to NO garden, with lovely views over the village Green. It suited us very well with a toddler. I would certainly like to stay at the cottage next year. Louise Pollock

I was delighted to read your positive comments. It's good to know that you enjoyed the cottage and it worked well for a very young person as well. You are right to say the terrace has wonderful views over the green and is unique in Walberswick as far as we know. We look forward to welcoming you back next year and thank you for posting. • "Duvet much too hot."

Really needs a summer duvet as the bedrooms upstairs are very hot anyway. The shower head in the main bathroom badly needed descaling . We used the hand shower all week. However the property is in a lovely position and Walberswick is a wonderful spot. It was also nice and clean.

Everything you could hope for and more. Beautiful fresh flowers, chocs, wine and crisps on arrival. Beautiful decor and location. Weather rather inclement so not able to use the roof terrace as much as hoped - we will have to com back. Home from home but better towels! ;) Thank you xxx

  • "Had an amazing week at this property (mid April 2023) which was clean and spacious and beds were really comfortable."

The cottage is perfectly located on the village green, close to shops and tea rooms (more importantly, between two pubs, just a short walk away). Loved the roof top terrace, which we took full advantage of. Would fully recommend.

Thank you for your wonderful comments. I am delighted Sea Green Cottage contributed in some small way to your very happy , relaxing break in Walberswick. Should you ever wish to return to this lovely spot, you know where we are! Thank you once again for posting. Property Owner

We are very happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay at Sea Green Cottage. It is impossible not to appreciate the village green location, which some might argue is the best in the village(!), but that you also found the cottage equally delightful. • "A very comfortable home which has just a couple issues addressing that have been noted in house keeping book."

Dear Stephen, Thank you for making a couple of notes in the Housekeeping Book for our attention. As I am sure you know, Suffolk water is very hard and limescale build-up rapid! However, I have asked our housekeeping staff to make sure the kettle is descaled more regularly. With regard to the door handle to the master bedroom, which appears to have suffered some rough treatment, I have requested the Best of Suffolk handyman to see if he can fix or replace it. I hope these small but annoying issues did not spoil your enjoyment of the property and wonderful Walberswick. I do hope we see you again. Property Owner

  • "We had a wonderful, relaxing week in Walberswick - interspersed with some, longer than intended, energetic walks along the beach and through the commons and forests surrounding the East Suffolk coast."

Take a good map. Sea Green Cottage was lovely; the big living, dining and kitchen room was ideal and the combination of radiators and log burner made it very comfortable. The whole house is light and airy, with the sun shining in across the village green into the living area. Quiet and peaceful for a late winter holiday beside the river estuary and sea shore, & 2 good pubs with restaurants within a stone's throw.

Dear Susan and guests, Thank you so much for your very positive comments. When Sea Green Cottage welcomed its first guests just over a year ago, I hoped I had succeeded in creating a beautiful, welcoming home that exceeded expectations. A lot of thought went into the decoration and furnishings to give a bright and breezy sea-side vibe without tipping into cliche. The happiness of the guests with their choice of property is one of the reasons owners like me do this. The location of course speaks for itself! Once again thank you for your lovely comments. It gives one a real boost! I hope we can welcome you back to Walberswick in the future. Property Owner

  • "Having stayed in a lot of cottages some being half the price of this one We feel the property was overpriced for what you got."

The cottage lacked some cleanliness issues especially in the bedrooms and en suites. The soak aways hadn’t been cleaned so you paddled in water. This has been rectified as I did it myself. However location very good and a lovely village. From Glenda Saunders

Dear Glenda, Thank you for your feedback. I was sorry to hear you experienced some issues during your stay. This was especially disappointing to learn as we have worked very hard to ensure Sea Green Cottage exceeds expectations and all guests have a comfortable and happy stay. I must say that, to date, we have had nothing but positive comments. I have flagged up your concerns with our cleaners and have asked that they redouble their efforts. I inspect the property myself fortnightly and I have always found it to be immaculate. This must have been an unfortunate 'blip'. On the back of this, I have introduced a 'Housekeeping Book' in which guests can note down any issues or areas for improvement that do not need immediate attention but, nevertheless , can be dealt with between guest stays. I was glad to see you appreciated the outstanding location and we look forward to welcoming you back in the future. Property Owner
