"Lovely stay and the cottage was very clean, and bed comfortable."
Having somewhere to park the car was an advantage. The great pub with fantastic food next door was well used. Learnt to look before exiting the front door as nearly took out a few joggers over the week.
We’re so glad that you enjoyed your stay at our cottage, Susan! Thank you for leaving it so tidy and do please come back again sometime very soon. Property Owner

"Lovely clean, quirky, cosy cottage, exactly as the owner described."
Perfect base to visit surrounding area or just explore Woodbridge with its numerous shops and pubs. Lovely walks direct from your doorstep. You can wander down to the Marina or pop across the road to the Garden centre opposite for your morning coffee or afternoon tea. There is also the pub next door where we enjoyed a few evening meals. Would not hesitate to recommend or return. Thank you Janet.
Thank you so much, Susan! It’s such a pleasure to host such thoughtful guests. Thank you for leaving things so tidy. We would love to have you again. We plan to decorate for Christmas…?? Property Owner

"Overall we did enjoy our stay at Cherry Tree Cottage though before booking I would have liked to of known you have to go through next doors garden to get to own garden."
Would have preferred to leave back door open as weather was good to let my dog wander in & out. Next door’s garden was full of dog poo all week which was smelling quite bad so didn’t sit outside, plus the cushions for the loungers were out for washing!! Would have thought they would be available for first week of June as warm enough to sit outside. We found the bed a little hard but that’s personal preference. Cottage was very clean and had everything we needed really great location for exploring the area, Woodbridge has loads to offer & walking by the river early morning with our dog was bliss calling into Brownbread bakery for coffee & a pastry is missed now back home. Would recommend cottage as overall we had a brilliant week, just a shame about garden access with a dog. Owner was extremely helpful when we miss placed key (dropped it in boot of car) there’s another key safe by back door which we’d not seen.
Thank you for staying with us, Rachel. Our online description does plainly spell out that the garden access is not directly out the door and indeed is not ideal for every dog owner. Luckily the irresponsible dog owner next door has moved out- obviously that was not something in our control and is now not an issue. We felt to remove and clean the garden cushions was better than leaving them for you dirty. As bookings are back to back you can appreciate we do the best we can to ensure perfection when humanly possible. We’re glad you enjoyed how clean, well kept and well stocked the cottage was. The quirkiness of the cottage was fun and the facilities throughout were first class. We have no complaints our stay and would certainly re-book at CherryTree Cottage if we needed to return to the area.

"Lovely little cottage, however, between the extremely busy road (71) vehicles in 5 minutes, along with noisy neighbours, drilling right outside the back window at 7."
30 in the evening, not really much point in trying to listen to the TV. The cottage is beautiful, and the decor is lovely. We struggled with the stairs but we are in our sixties and were aware of this from the get go, and the busy road, but I don’t think busy describes this well enough. Please advise the owner I forgot the frozen meat in the freezer, please do not leave this for anyone else, as this is raw dog food and not suitable for human consumption. Thank you Julia
Thank you so much for staying with us, Julia. I’m sorry you found Traffic a bit noisy - happily, the secondary glazing which we have installed has blocked out the traffic noise significantly, although I realise you still might hear it when you’re approaching the cottage. I also understand that the works next door are due to finish very soon. Thank you for saying in your written note that you had a lovely time at our cottage and a wonderful week. We trust you had a safe trip home . Take care and thank you again! Property Owner

"Positives: Lovely quaint cottage, great location for Woodbridge centre."
Nice bathroom, excellent shower. Very comfortable and good general cleanliness. Negatives: Stairs very steep and twisty, beware. Garden a bit overgrown and dilapidated. Lack of saucepans (only one medium size and one milk pan) but three frying pans - odd. Traffic noise means windows must be kept shut (not their fault of course.) Rather a lot of clutter. Overall very good but let down on some details hence 4 stars. Would stay again.
Thank you for staying with us, Jonathan! We’re so pleased you were comfortable and enjoyed your stay in Woodbridge at our cottage. We’ll happily get those saucepans in for your next stay! We’re excited to be doing a refurbishment of our garden one step at a time and look forward to the perfect garden in the near future. The good news about our windows is that with the new, smart secondary glazing, we can block out the traffic noise really well, so we’re thrilled. Hope you can come back again! Property Owner

"This is a fantastic Cottage everything you need for a fantastic holiday, the ..."
This is a fantastic Cottage everything you need for a fantastic holiday, the owners are simply the best nothing is to much for them, I was there for 6 weeks due to a house fire and I wouldn’t have wanted anything else the cottage is beautiful, the bed is so comfortable the stairs were a worry but they were fine, the kitchen & bathroom had everything you need to have for a long term stay also the washer / dryer and dishwasher was a bonus, yes you have to go out the front door to access the garden but honestly not a problem I would like to thank the owners for an incredible experience and hope they continue renting there cottage as I have informed all family and friends I highly recommend a stay x
It was so nice to have you in the cottage this summer, Claire, and we’re so glad you loved it! It’s perfectly fine for guests to use the back door to get to the garden, although there’s a short access route through the neighbour’s side. We’d be thrilled to have you again or any of your extended clan. Thanks again! Property Owner

"Beautiful quaint cottage in a perfect location."
Spotless on arrival. Host had left lots of provisions which were gladly received. Bed comfy, heating and water good. Parking space fitted a 4x4. We didn’t use the garden as it was chilly but would be fab on a warm day. Would recommend.
Thank you, Rae! It was great to have such a tidy and thoughtful guest! Please come back again sometime! Property Owner

"My young daughter and I stayed overnight in Cherry Tree Cottage for a mum-and daughter mini-break."
This cosy cottage is the most beautifully decorated holiday home I've ever stayed in and it was spotlessly clean. We loved the decor, books and vintage ornaments, including teapots, animal bookends and characterful salt-and-pepper shakers! So much thought has gone into making the guest experience there as lovely as possible. In the afternoon, we enjoyed a stunning walk along the River Deben. Afterwards, we enjoyed a delicious evening meal in the Cherry Tree Pub next door. The bathtub in the property is straight out of a magazine and the bed is very comfortable. In the morning, we popped across the road to Notcutts to buy a croissant and Danish pastry for breakfast. We couldn't have had a more relaxing stay. We both loved the cottage so much and hope to return some time in the future.

"We had an extended stay in this wonderful cottage in Woodbridge and enjoyed it so much we returned to finish out our holiday there!"
(March 26-April 7, then April 16-21). The description is accurate regarding the road noise and the stairs but as a previous guest said, these were just not an issue for us. The location is great with a pleasant walk to Woodbridge with all its fun shops, pubs, Co-Op, Green Grocer etc. It’s also a very short drive to Sutton Hoo (a must see). Or you can find breakfast and lunch just across the street or enjoy the Cherry Tree Inn Pub next door for lunch or dinner. Or just enjoy a home cooked meal in the well-equipped (and super clean and cute!) kitchen. The cottage is beautifully kept and has combined the Old-World charm of this historical building with all the modern updates that make this such an enjoyable and comfortable holiday let. The cottage is very cozy and filled with every amenity imaginable. We have so appreciated how much the owners have clearly made it their mission to make sure this would be a wonderful and comfortable stay. We also appreciated how available they are for answering questions, helping us find any resources we needed and their promptness in managing any issues that may arise. Much thanks to Janet and Gary for making this a delightful and relaxing stay. Your cottage and care showed a pride of ownership far beyond anything we have experienced in our travels here. Cheers! Well done!

"I would highly recommend staying in cherry tree cottage, the listing is accurate, there are steep stairs and road noise both of which we had no problem with because the cottage itself is beautiful with so many curios and treasures."
This would normally make me think twice because of keeping it clean but I can honestly say everything was super clean! We didn’t use the garden which you access from the drive as we found it easier to walk the dog up the road to the left where there was a grassy area. We also loved the location a short walk away from Woodbridge with its shops, pubs and eateries.
Thank you, Ian! It’s so appreciated when a guest leaves us feedback as it’s time out of your day! We love having such appreciative and tidy guests, too. Hope to have you again! Property Owner

"A delightful, quirky cottage."
Very clean and comfortable, lovely furnishings and the kitchen had every utensil and equipment you could possibly need. Loved the teapots. Was good to have large fluffy towels provided and the bathroom with the deep bath was lovely. Would definitely stay again.
Thank you, Tracey! We’d love to have you back again whenever you like! Thanks for taking time out to review us. Property Owner

"Probably the best equipped holiday cottage I've stayed in."
Love its' quirkiness and attention to detail. Nice to have quality items in there too. It feels like the owner wants us to enjoy our holiday rather than just make money. Not for the very tall, limited mobility or minimalist, there is road noise in the morning and I would also have preferred private rear access to the garden, but it is an old traditional cottage so to be expected. It was lovely to have a welcome pack, and the bathroom is gorgeous! The mattress so comfy too. And the books!!! Wish we had booked for longer! Thank you.
Thank you, Pauline! We’re thrilled that you enjoyed yourself at our cottage. You left it so tidy as well, which is so appreciated. Please come back again sometime! Property Owner
