  • "Loved staying in this property."

Easy access to the quiet and beautiful beach through the back gate. Great location for exploring (we visited Arundel castle, Weald and Downland, Fishbourne roman palace, Chichester and Portsmouth historcal docklands) Nicely decorated through out with plenty of space. Added extras like camping chairs and cooler bag came in handy for the beach. The welcome treat of strawberries, cream, bottle of wine and fresh milk was really thoughtful. Thank you for a fantastic holiday.

We are delighted that you enjoyed your stay so much and that you managed to see some of the numerous local attractions. The beach is a real hidden gem, very private and quiet even in the height of the Summer. Thank you so much for giving us a 100% score. Property Owner

We noticed this shortly after our arrival on Saturday. Left a note to bring to attention of who is responsible to replace. We did not want to get blamed for this.

We are delighted to receive the 100% score from you and thank you very much for that. We try very hard to provide everything needed for an enjoyable stay and very much appreciate it when it is acknowledged. We have noted your comments on the plates and glass and they have already been replaced. • "10 out of 10."

Owners have thought of everything you could possibly need as adults or for the dog. We had a delightful week despite the weather. The only thing that could possibly be mentioned is that access to the lovely beach on the path and the beach itself isn't that disabled-friendly because of the slopes. Maybe a note in the house that a drive to the Wittering beaches is well worth it if anyone is on walking aids or in a wheelchair.

Thank you so much for your amazing feedback, we are so pleased that you enjoyed your stay. We have noted your comment about the access to the beach and will include this in the notes in the house. We very much look forward to you staying with us again Property Owner

Thank you for your feedback. It is lovely in the Summer, with the quiet, sandy beach, beautiful sunsets and gated entrance with a security guard to stop other people going onto the beach. We very much look forward to welcoming back again. Property Owner

We are so sorry that you experienced a problem with the shower. It seems that there has been a problem with the water pressure as the fluctuation in temperature only occurred when water was also being used elsewhere the house at the same time. We called out Portsmouth Water Company who have confirmed this. The pressure has been adjusted and all is fine now. We are pleased that overall your had a good holiday and thank you for booking with us. Property Owner

  • "We really enjoyed our stay at Sea View: the location is fantastic and the house is a lovely place to relax as there's plenty of room for family to do different activities."

The conservatory has a really good selection of beach and garden furniture. Being the only family on the beach on beautiful August days was something I've rarely experienced in Britain and that, coupled with being able to get back to the house so easily, was one of the highlights of the holiday. Thank you too, Jane, for pointing out the play area and field near the house which were both enjoyed by our grandchildren; the little library in the hut is a lovely place to look into too. We would certainly like to come back.

Thank you so much for your really great review. It is so good to hear that you enjoyed your holiday so much, we do try very hard to cater for everyone's needs. The beach is a real hidden gem and as you say hard to believe that such a lovely beach doesn't get busy, we think it's mostly because access is restricted to the estate. It was a pleasure being able to help and we very much look forward to welcoming you back. Property Owner

Yes a bit on pubs, . The child gate on the stairs was a nuisance .

Thank you so much for this great review, it is very much appreciated. we are always grateful for feedback and will address the items you mentioned as follows: We will ensure that the instructions for the appliances are in a more visible place in the future and put more information in the house with regards to local attractions etc. We will also remove the stair gate for guests that are not accompanied by dogs. • "The showering arrangements were below par."

There was no proper shower head, just a handset and the riser rail was so close to the shower unit that the handset could be raised no higher than chest level. You couldn't stand under it. I have shoulder length hair and it wasn't up to the task of washing it properly. This was a big flaw in what was otherwise a very good holiday home.

Thank you for taking the time to write this review and we are pleased that you found the holiday home to be of a very good standard. We are very sorry that you had a problem with the shower head, we have not had any other comments about this problem and so we were completely unaware of it. We will address this issue as soon as possible. We would like to thank you for booking with us and hope to welcome you back in the future. Property Owner

  • "The house is lovely and kitchen is well equipped."

Welcome tray was appreciated. The bedrooms are well decorated and beds comfortable. We enjoyed sitting in the conservatory with the sun streaming in. Garden will be fab in warmer weather for eating outdoors. Location is great. A few negatives: The directions given by Sykes were incorrect and took us to the wrong area. There are 2 Sea Ways, one in Middleton and this one in Elmer. The directions were to Sea Way Middleton. This needs correcting. The enclosed garden was wonderful but there is a gap under the back gate through which a small dog could escape. It is unfortunate that the beach path is elevated and visible from the house and garden- not great for reactive dogs. We would be very happy to stay there again.

Thank you for taking the time to leave this positive review. With regards to the points you mention, I will speak to Sykes again with regard to correcting the directions to the property as although the postcode they give is correct the directions are not. The back gate is new and we will place a flexible strip along the bottom of the gate to avoid any small dogs going under it. Thank you for booking with us and we look forward to welcoming you back in the future. Property Owner

The property backs onto the beach some days we had the beach all to ourselves went in the sea everyday. The garden is private and peaceful with just the sound of the waves. The layout of the house was perfect clean a real home from home feel bedrooms were light and had a fresh feel to them. If you really want a get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life Sea Way is just perfect. Welcome gifts were a lovely touch after a long drive. A real untouched private location by the sea. Loved every minute of it didn’t want to leave. Thank you so much

  • "We had a fabulous stay at Sea Way."

The house was great and we were very lucky with the weather. It was very clean and had most things we needed. The only thing I would say is, as you are allowed to have dogs there, I would have like a vacuum cleaner to clean the dog hair from the floor, during our stay and when we left. All there was there was a dustpan and brush. I know it is cleaned after we’d left, but I like to clean my dog hairs up as I go. Apart from that I would highly recommend a stay there.

Thank you for leaving this very positive review. There should have been a broom in the house so we will check this and replace it if necessary. Following your comment we have also now put a hoover in the house. We hadn't done this before as we didn't want our guests spending time cleaning but we understand your comment. Thank you for booking with us and we hope to welcome you back in the future. Property Owner

  • "Lovely house in a great location, comfortable with a fantastic conservatory and garden backing on to the beach."

As serial bookers of cottages we found there were a few things missing that would normally be provided that we had to buy once there. However this didn't distract from our enjoyment of our holiday. Would recommend taking spray and cloth to clean the kitchen sides and a dish sponge, dishwasher tablets, toilet rolls, kitchen rolls (some provided of all but not enough), bleach for the loos, speaker to play music. Overall a lovely place to stay

Thank you for your feedback and we are delighted that you had an enjoyable stay. • "We loved staying here."

The easy access to the beach was a big bonus. We and the dog loved the walks along the beach. The house was clean and very comfortable. All of our group found the mattresses extremely comfortable - this was really appreciated as some of our group suffer from back problems. Just a couple of things to mention - we couldn't find a cheese grater and it would be nice to have someone in the entrance to hang coats. We would definitely consider returning.

Thank you very much for your very positive feedback. We have noted your comments and we are pleased to advise that we have replaced the cheese grater (not sure where the previous one went) and we have put a coat rack in the porch. We had a wonderful stay here, the beach walks, sun rises and settings are just beautiful and right on the doorstep. The property itself is very well presented and has everything you need, a home from home and although we stayed in November, the morning sun was so lovely we were able to sit in the garden with our morning cuppa! We had our small dog with us and she absolutely loved the large, secure garden, with access straight from the back garden to the beach. We highly recommend staying here and are planning another visit ourselves! Thanks for a lovely holiday.
