The property

Pebble House is a contemporary three-bedroom townhouse situated a mile-and-a-half to the west of Worthing Pier.

It represents an ideal base for families, friends and couples with pets looking to explore the beautiful countryside and coast of West Sussex. Close to local amenities and a stone’s throw from the beach, Pebble House offers a sea view from the master bedroom and an enclosed patio garden.

It’s a comfortable home-from-home welcoming up to six guests, plus an infant and two four-legged friends, for a memorable escape by the sea. Off-road parking is provided directly in front of the house, where you’ll smell sea air and hear breaking waves the moment you step out of the car.

To the rear of the property, step out to the patio garden, where you can enjoy tea or a tipple in evening sunshine. This house is perfectly appointed for a comfortable stay.

The kitchen contains all the equipment you’ll need to prepare a home-cooked family meal.

The spacious living area includes a large dining table and, after dinner, you can gather on the sofa and armchairs to enjoy a movie night in. Upstairs you’ll find three charming bedrooms, comprising a double, single, and triple-bunk, all neatly presented and ready for a restful night’s sleep. Freshen up for the evening in the bathroom or en-suite shower room.

No-one will be queuing for the toilet, as this property includes three separate WC’s! When you’re ready to explore the surroundings, you can stroll across Worthing’s expansive beaches, take a dip in the sea, explore rock pools, or just wander along the promenade.

Your four-legged friends will love letting off steam on nearby Goring Greensward. Worthing itself offers seaside attractions, shops, cafes, restaurants, artists’ studios and a swimming pool right on the shoreline, while the neighbouring town of Shoreham-by-Sea boasts old streets and a historic port. Further afield, the vibrant city of Brighton and Hove makes for an exciting day out, with its iconic pier and beachfront.

The bustling lanes are full of unique boutiques and top attractions. To the west, families will love Arundel Castle with its exquisite gardens and mediaeval towers.

Couples will enjoy the cathedral city of Chichester with its cobbled streets, galleries, shops and fine dining. When you eventually return to Pebble House, settle in for a relaxed evening in the lounge and toast a memorable day-out amid the many and varied attractions of Sussex by the sea.

About the location

WORTHING

Shoreham-by-Sea 5 miles; Brighton and Hove 10 miles; Chichester 20 miles.

Worthing is a coastal town in West Sussex with some of the most sunshine in the UK. It has been a popular holiday resort since Georgian times when Jane Austen stayed here. It can be reached from London by train in under one-and-a-half hours (Gatwick Airport in under an hour) or by car in around an hour from the M25.

Worthing these days is a hub of activity with a fantastic choice of cocktail bars, gastro pubs and coffee shops, arts and entertainment venues and watersports opportunities. Away from the seaside promenade, the art deco pier and wide beaches, Worthing is surrounded by the spectacular countryside of the South Downs National Park, packed with open-air museums, stately homes, wildlife parks and Roman remains.

Throughout the town parks and gardens host artists’ studios, children’s playgrounds, bowls and mini-golf. There’s a modern swimming pool right on the shoreline. Light aircraft pleasure trips can be arranged from Shoreham Airport, five miles away. Water sports on offer include wind-surfing and paddle-boarding, with the south-west breeze that blows on summer afternoons making this an ideal spot for kite-surfing.

Three theatres offer everything from pre-West End plays to children’s specials to classic rock and roll. The Dome Cinema on the seafront is one of the oldest in the country. Worthing Museum houses a notable collection of period costumes, while the only known full-size replica of the Sistine Chapel ceiling can be visited in a modern Catholic church.

Seafood is a speciality here. The Fish Factory is an award-winning restaurant priding itself on excellent locally caught fish along with other delicious dishes. The Crabshack has been named one of the Times’ top seafood restaurants. You can even buy your own seafood direct from local fishermen, who still land their catch each morning on the beach! Outside town, excellent country pubs are found across the South Downs.

In winter and summer, come rain or shine, there is always something to do in Worthing!
