  • "A warm welcome greeted us (4) for our 4 night holiday break."

We were a little early but our apartment was ready. Ultra clean and warm. Conveniently located within walking distance of the town. Parking was easy. A very enjoyable stay. Thank you

  • "Lovely flat & very clean."

Good location to get to beach & town. Reception staff were great & very helpful. Having on-site swimming pool was fabulous (especially as we had 2 pre-schoolers who are learning to swim) just a shame it didn’t open later than 15.30. All the doors in the flat were fire doors but it would have been helpful to have door stops ans they were heavy for small children & would avoid door slamming.

  • "We have stayed in many Sykes cottages but this was one that we would not return to."

I understand that the main purpose of the building and its facilities is for the rehabilitation of firefighters. The flats that are let out to the general public are to help raise money for the charity. The flat was austere and quite unwelcoming. The staff in reception were wonderful, especially Fiona, who explained that the apartment had recently been redecorated and that the plan was to put some pictures on the walls. The bath was slippery, we mentioned this and were provided with a mat. There was no safety handle in the bath/ shower but fortunately we had taken a suction one with us. The crockery was very thick and heavy, so much so that we bought a couple of China mugs to use. The flat sleeps 5 but there were only 5 teaspoons, no cafetiere, no hairdryer. No instructions at all for oven or microwave and when we arrived, the welcome pack consisted 2 teabags, 2 individual coffee bags, 4 individual pots of uht milk and 2 small packets of biscuits. The sofa was very comfortable and the beds were quite comfortable. The whole place was enormous with plenty of room for five people but very sparse and utilitarian.

  • "We had a great stay at Flat 32 Marine Court."

The property was spacious, clean and comfortable. Check in was informative and useful. The location was amazing, close to the beach and town. The facilities were great, use of the in site swimming pool and bar if needed. I would recommend this property and definitely stay here again, we didn't want to leave.

  • "32 marine court was faultless, as it's just had a fresh refit, literally everything is new."

More than enough space for a family of 5. Plenty of plug sockets around the property and a well equipped kitchen although it did lack a chopping board. The pool was a great added bonus.. Would definitely book again.

  • "This apartment was a large apartment well laid out with comfortable beds."

The wooden furniture in the bedrooms, although useful, plenty of wardrobe space and drawers, was well used and some of the drawers had dropped making it hard to open/close some. The plentiful windows allowed in plenty of light, but the roller blinds didn’t cover the whole windows, allowing early light to flood in. The kitchen was well equipped, with just enough equipment, and the water was good and hot. Good parking on site and the quiz night and bingo session in the bar was great fun and entertaining. The bookable pool was advertised to be open from 9:30 till 3:30, but we were told on arrival that it is not available to book in the mornings as it is used for rehab sessions for Firefighters, which is a great facility but felt that the limited availability wasn’t made clear on the Sykes advertisement. Also, the booking had to be made on the day it was required, as they didn’t always know what bookings would come in for rehab. We were only able to use the pool once because of those limited timings. The Gym was similarly limited availability. We found this a little disappointing. especially as as we’d paid over £1k for the week. As there was no outside play area, it wasn’t really ideal for our two lively teenaged grandsons, but may suit other family set ups. Having on site 24 hour staff was reassuring and the whole building felt secure and safe and staff very helpful, in the main. We felt pleased to be able to support such a worthwhile charity but didn’t feel it represented good value for money giving the limitations as mentioned above. Nevertheless we enjoyed Littlehampton and found the apartment to be very clean and well located.

  • "Great location for families and couples to visit the local area."

Walkable distance to the beach front and town. Very secure apartment. Car park is handy. Overall generally clean apartment with a useful kitchen and the staff in reception are very friendly and helpful. Would return and recommend.

  • "Great property although a little sparse."

Needs a little TLC in the kitchen. I realise the importance of keeping doors closed but the facility to prop a door or 2 open at times when the sun shines would make all the difference to the place (and yes I know they're fire doors...) Overall its a great location to walk to town and the staff so wonderful and friendly. Would book again
