The on site owners are very friendly and helpful.

"Idyllic spot for a quiet country break!"
Rosie and her family are lovely and welcoming. We met the goats and chickens and our dog loved the surrounding fields for walks. The property is ideally located to visit Battle, Hastings, Rye, Camber Sands and many more. It is spacious and clean and has a nice decking area to sit and relax. We would highly recommend this property.

Excellent home away from home for memorable day trips to impressive sights including London, Seven Sisters, Rye, Watermill Wolves and even the Historic Dockyard of Portsmouth.

The goats were definitely the highlight for my daughter.

"Loose Farm Lodge has it all!"
Located within a 5 minute drive of Battle Town Centre, 12 minute drive from central Hastings and 20 minutes from Rye, Camber Sands, Bodiam Castle and Great Dixter. The Lodge itself is modern, spacious, well furnished/equipped, clean and comfortable. It is surrounded by fields and you can sit on the patio enjoying the peace with birdsong and the occasional gentle bleat of a goat. There was a welcome pack and an Info Pack by Rosie and Jason providing details of places to visit/eat. Rosie and Jason combine hectic schedules with friendly helpful chats (goodness knows where they find the time) and it was they who recommended a walk in Battle Geat Wood (just across the road). The stay at Loose Farm Lodge was everything we hoped. I would happily recommend it and hope to return. Kevin Delaney

"A great property that was recommended to us by friends who’ve previously stayed there."
It didn’t disappoint one bit! Rosie is a fantastic host and we felt at home. You have to try at least one of Rosie’s scrumptious goat meat products too!
-
"A great place to relax with the dog."
Good location and very clean. Would stay again but my dog cannot walk that far.
-
"Loose Farm Lodge, our one week holiday was really enjoyable."
Rosia & Jason were very helpful & friendly, they were on-hand to assist throughout our holiday providing advice and information about the farm, and the goats (who were also very friendly). The Lodge is well equipped, the kitchen is very well equipped. The Lodge is exceptionally clean and spacious. Our stress levels went way down, and being onely approx 3 miles from Bexhill-on-Sea we enjoyed the South downs, Seafront, and Battle (1066) historical sites and small High Street shops, cafes etc. Definitely a holiday to return to again and again.

"Lovely accommodation which exceeded our expectations - clean, comfortable and quiet."
The milk and welcome gifts of chocolate, biscuits and crisps were very much appreciated. It's also great to have washing up liquid and soap in the bathroom (and plenty of loo rolls!) Kitchen was well stocked. We slept and relaxed well - and loved the goats and kids.

"We had a great week at Loose Farm Lodge, which is very well situated for exploring the area."
The lodge is very quiet & comfortable and the welcome pack was much appreciated. Our dog was intrigued by the goats and lambs and the enclosed garden was a bonus. Our only complaint is that it wasn’t warm enough to sit outside much!

"The Lodge was very comfortable and cosy."
It was equipped with everything necessary for a self catering holiday. The beds and bedding were exceedingly comfortable, we slept really well. It was a pity there was a blip with the WiFi, it is understood this is being sorted. The setting of the Lodge is so peaceful and tranquil. It was lovely to be able to look out onto the goats. It’s a good base for travelling in the surrounding area. Rosie, our host, was just fabulous, very warm, welcoming and helpful.
-

The owners Rosie & Jason were super host and were extremely friendly and informative. We will certainly return when we have more time to explore those walks in that wonderful East Sussex countryside. If you are looking for peace and quiet but only a few minutes from Battle then look no further.

"The property was delightful, clean, with all the amenities you could possibly need."
The owners were so friendly and helpful, always available if needed but never intrusive. They told me of local areas that I could walk the dog and let him off the lead. I found the property with no problems, using Google maps, it led me to the door. Unfortunately the weather was not good, plenty of rain and wind, but the property was so comfortable, it was no problem staying indoors.
-

"Lovely Lodge in a great location."
Warm, clean and comfortable with a very friendly owner. Location is great for exploring the Sussex coastline with some great walking on the coast and over the South Downs. We were there in January and were very lucky with the weather. Had some great walks with our whippet and the lodge was the perfect base. Thank you.

"This accommodation is very cosy modern and clean, slightly off the beaten track yet only a few minutes from the village of Battle."
The owners Rosie and Jason live to the rear of the property but are not intrusive. They are always available should you need any help or information to help make your stay a happy one.
-
"Could have been signposted better and the entrance was a little difficult to negotiate the gates etc."
Not owners fault though as neighbours had a broken down old car blocking the drive. Nice quiet area pity we didn’t see or hear the goats. The hosts were very welcoming and the cottage was very well equipped.
Thank you very much for your feedback. We will send out directions to the property a couple of days before arrival as the sat nav may not always take you straight to the property. We are glad you enjoyed your stay. Property Owner

It is a perfect location with a lot of activities within reach and to everyone's taste. Battle itself is very charming with great little shops, restaurants and brilliant playground for the little ones. We have also enjoyed trip to Rye, beautiful beach in Camber and Bodiam Castle. Great family holiday for all to enjoy

You enter the property into a large open-plan living space, where you can enjoy an evening with some popcorn by the TV, or rustle up your favourite meal in the kitchen area and gather your loved ones around the dining table, whilst there is also a handy dishwasher and washing machine.
Moving through the property, there is a shower room allowing you to freshen up for the day ahead, a double room where you can escape to as the evening draws to a close and finally, a twin room with ample storage space so you can unpack any personal belongings.

Wake up to the sounds of the goats and lambs in the fields near your garden area, a heart-warming touch to this already idyllic setting.
With its narrow alleys, Battle prides itself on remaining a historic landmark, although it is now a bustling and busy place that welcomes thousands of visitors from all over the world each year, who can indulge in the delights that tea rooms such as Mrs Burton's have to offer with high tea being served on tall cake stands in a quintessential English parlour dating back to the 16th century, or browse around charming shops selling local produce and hand-made goods, local butchers and organic vegetable stores where the cheeses and wines are made only a few miles away.
On the green events and exhibitions take place throughout the year from medieval fayres and scarecrow competitions, but still standing proud is the majestic Battle Abbey, with part of it's buildings now laying in ruins, it still attracts visitors who explore its battlegrounds and Abbey ruins.
Just a short drive away is the more vibrant sister, the seaside town of Hastings, also famous for it's involvement with the Battle of Hastings which in 1066 changed the course of history forever, and now offers visitors the chance to enjoy a day by the sea, swimming, sailing, fishing or wind-surfing, or why not enjoy one of the numerous restaurants in the old town with its view over Hastings Castle on the hill, or enjoy a show or at one of the theatres.
The property lies within the High Weald AONB and has attractive landscapes with a myriad of small farms, woodlands, historic parks, sunken lanes and ridge-top villages.
Also within driving distance is the seaside resort of Eastbourne, with it's gorgeous beach, selection of restaurants, bars, shops and museums.
For a quaint and fun-filled trip to East Sussex, choose Loose Farm Lodge.
