• "For those unused to electric cookers it would be helpful to have clear instructions on how to operate."

• "Had a wonderful holiday at Waterfall apartment, the place is beautifully decorated and very comfortable."

  It was so peaceful, being among the trees and the sound of the waterfall was quite wonderful. We were lucky enough to see red squirrels. It’s a great base for exploring the area.

• "Lovely place to stay, but some kitchen basics lacking, no salt and pepper pot."

  It would have been nice to have some basic cooking items like oil. Also anti bac spray would have been useful too. But overall a lovely comfortable apartment

• "We thought waterfall cottage was really great."

  Well equipped.could do with a washing machine though for folks staying more than a couple of days.also the garage downstairs can get very noisy at night when folks from the lodge are in it.apart from that .was a great holiday.nice and handy for touring about.will defo recommend to our friends.Davy

Unfortunately there isn’t enough room for a washing machine but there is a spare one at the back of the main house for emergency use if housekeeping are contacted. Guests often liaise re use of the table tennis table in the garage so I’m sorry that did not happen this time. Thank you for your kind comments Property Owner

• "The property was a delight."

  It was such a pleasure to walk into such a light and spacious apartment. Very well equipped although the TV had no ariel from the EE box. It was also listed as having a dishwasher and washing machine but I suspect that was for the main building. These were not in any way detracting from the apartment or our enjoyment of it. We would definitely recommend it to friends and family.

  So pleased you had a lovely stay and yes the dishwasher and washing machine do refer to the main house. The tv is run off the internet but I will double check the instructions on that. Thanks for your kind feedback. Property Owner

• "The property is ideally located in an isolated location, among a wooded area."

  The property is a potential five star quality, but lacks a washing machine & dishwasher. The king size bed was very comfortable and the shower was excellent, but one of the bedroom skylight requires cleaning. There's no Welcome Pack, which once again you'd expect of a five star property. Time was wasted setting up the oven, microwave & television for use. The television screen is definately too small for the size of the lounge area.

  Hi Philip, we will look into the cleaning of the sky light and I will pass on the comments about the oven, microwave and TV. There was a power cut in the area just before you arrived so that is probably why the appliances needed resetting. We simply don’t have room for a washing machine or dishwasher in the apartment unfortunately. We aren’t often asked about Welcome Packs as everyone wants different things but will consider this if there is future call for it. So pleased you had a lovely stay. Property Owner

• "Had a lovely time there and the weather helped as it stayed dry most of the time."

  The cottage was very clean and well furnished and we thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The only disappointing thing was that I expected a cottage but I would have described it more as an apartment on top of some garages with access via a wooden staircase. Would go back there nonetheless, it was in a lovely setting.

• "Cottage was lovely,peace and quiet while not far from shops etc,saw plenty of wildlife while sitting out on the veranda including Red squirrels,Great spotted Wood pecker,Pine Martin,Golden Eagle and lots of different bird species."

  The two together were the perfect location, combining tranquility with accessibility, with lovely grounds an exceptional standard of decor and maintenance. The facilities manager lives just next door and was very helpful with any queries. We have already book this venue again for later in the year for a similar event and can't wait to return.

  Perfect for a couple. Larger than it looks from the photos. Very clean and neat without the usual Scottish tourist brochures scattered everywhere. Tasteful decor and free from signage, just like a home from home. John (the manager, lives nearby) an excellent host. Highly recommended

• "The flat is absolutely stunning and was a delight to stay in."

  It is literally next to a waterfall, which you can gently hear through your stay. There is a little bridge over the stream straight into the woodland, which was perfect for walking our dog every morning. The flat itself is beautifully furnished, and was perfect for collapsing each day after a walk in the nearby glens. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you might need equipment-wise, and the sofa and bed are very comfortable. Would highly recommend and look forwards to coming back sometime soon!

• "Everything was great during stay."

  Was concerned at first as Lodge being near but no problems with privacy. Grounds are amazing and very secluded. Very peaceful after long days exploring Highlands. Host was brilliant so nice and friendly who lived nearby within walking distance. My parents want to stay there now after our visit. Perfect for couples and dog friendly.
