  • "We absolutely loved this cottage."

Such a fantastic location and well equipped. Walks from the cottage down and across the fantastically quirky suspension bridge that spans the river Oykel are a must if you're active enough. Either up the valley on down stream takes you along wonderful scenery. A short drive will take you to other fabulous walks and hikes for the more able. The Cassley Falls is a great short walk from Rosehall forest car park. Also the Bone caves are another dramatic and interesting visit. Further afield to Lochinvar or Ullapool have many great walks and places to visit. We just thought this place and the surrounding area was superb.

  • "If your first car is a Maserati but your second is a Bentley then this is not for you."

If however your second car is a Land Rover that has seen its share of mud this would be heaven. Lovely wee cottage mere minutes away from some of the most spectacular hill walks Scotland has on offer, just off the NC 500 on a very drivable single track road with all the facilities and comforts of being home. They were having a wee problem with the potability of the tap water at the moment which is why I have given poor facilities score. They were very open about it and provided more than ample bottled water for drinking and I suspect that they will have this problem corrected in the not too distant future. I definitely plan to return in the future and would recommend like minded folk to give the congenial hosts a visit.
