  • "This house is absolutely amazing."

We could not fault it in anyway. Well maintained and done to a high standard, spotlessly clean. We stayed for 2 weeks and loved every minute of it. It felt like home form home. Were were only a couple so spoilt for choice on which room to have. Comfy beds with 5 large double bedrooms. The house is in a really good spot with lots of amazing views and it's about 6 mins form the nearest super store in Dingwall. We spent a log time watching the world go by out the window. Our last day there was even some snow on the hills in the distance. Take some Binoculars with you. The welcome biscuits were really a nice thought and there was Tea, Coffee and Milk as well - thankyou for that. Lovely garden bench outside - just was a wee bit cold for us to use it. If you were visiting in a large group you may find the front room a bit compact for 10 people but you could all still get in there as plenty of chairs/sofa. If we could suggest anything it would be to consider placing the TV on the wall in lounge rather than on the unit just to aid watching it. Maybe pop a TV in another room downstairs so people who were in a large groups could split up a bit. (Didn't mater for us as only a couple) I would have loved an information pack on local things and what to do etc - not everyone is good with internet and this could make it easier for those who maybe are not so technology minded. The owner text to make sure we were OK which was really nice and offered mid holiday cleaning if we wanted it. Overall if you want a fab place to stay with everything you need for a holiday break that is peaceful you won't be disappointed.

  • "The house was wonderful!"

Very comfortable. Very clean. It included everything we needed. The only issue was that the Google link for directions took us to an abandoned house off a dirt road when we were arriving at 10 pm. Thankfully we saw som local people leaving a small restaurant near there who knew the house and directed us. The emergency # on the recording didn't work either. Otherwise Loved the house! Would rent again for sure!

Hello Mr Ives, we’re so glad you enjoyed your stay. Thanks for you’re fantastic feedback. I’m sorry about the directions, I will make sure this is sorted out immediately. Property Owner

  • "A lovely property."

I was travelling alone but wanted somewhere safe for my elderly car and this was perfect although the house is more suited to a group. The heating was not easy to control, there were no locks on bedroom doors and there was no table in the kitchen, but apart from that I enjoyed my stay and would return.

  • "The house is beautifully situated to take advantage of a splendid view."

The accommodation was fine and the bedrooms well set out. The lounge and dining room are a bit small for the amount of people who can stay there and I was disappointed there were absolutely no logs for the open fire. The accommodation is good but there are no extras like board games, maps, logs, brochures or furniture in the lovely garden.

  • "The pictures of the property looked lovely, however upon seeing it at close hand this was not the case."

We felt that the property is in need of a little reverb, the place was dusty and dirty, fireplace was tired and no logs were left, just as well it was warm. Beautiful garden but no furniture to sit out on. Only 1 TV in a 6 bed house, so you had to sit with everyone watching the same thing, the bed in the on suite was uncomfortable. I think making all the bedrooms have the same bedding would look better, the house felt a little miss mash of things instead of 1 theme.

  • "Nice house, very comfortable stay."

The house could do with some maintenance as quite a few small issues to sort, none huge. Disappointed that a dog friendly house had no gate to separate the property from a relatively busy road. This made letting the dogs out a risky proposition .

  • "The property is very spacious, comfortable and has beautiful views from the lounge."

The house was very clean on arrival. The owners responded very quickly to our request. We were very grateful for the space and facilities in the large garage for storing additional food and climbing kit etc. An outside table and chairs would be a great addition to enjoy the lovely views and garden space. The house is well located for lots of trips west, east and north.

Hello Mrs Gilles, We are delighted that you enjoyed your stay at Freshfields and thank you very much for your feedback. It’s our intention to form a seating area at the end of the holiday season so that people can take in the views of the Cromarty Firth and Ben Wyvis. Property Owner

  • "Absolutely loved our stay at Fresh Fields."

The accommodation was spotless and very spacious with the most amazing views. A couple of things I would suggest is that the owner to provide induction pots and pans we could only use 2 pots at any one time the others don’t heat up. A handrail going into the property purely as 2 of us have mobility problems. And finally a table and chairs outside would make this the perfect property. We would definitely return.
