The location was superb, very peaceful. The wildlife on the doorstep was amazing, we had Pine Martens, Ravens, Buzzards, Deer, Whinchats, Common Whitethroat and lots of other species. The view was addictive. There were walks from the door around the local area. The cottage was very comfortable, and Jacinda kindly left some treats for us as a welcome, she was very friendly and visited a couple of times to make sure we had everything we needed. The location of the cottage was great as it is near to many places of interest, The Crinan Canal is just minutes away, the rock art is great to visit, we also went to Kilmartin Jail which is worth a visit and there is a great fish and chip restaurant in Kilmartin. A boat trip to the Corryvreckan is well worth a visit too, there were sea eagles to be seen. And the beavers at the beaver trail is a must and only a few minutes away from the cottage.

"This is a lovely holiday cottage which has everything you need for an enjoyable stay."
Bring your own logs for the log burner and even in winter you can be nice and cosy. I suggested to the owner that draught excluders on the outside doors would benefit the cosiness. The chairs and the bed are comfortable, and the kitchen is well stocked with crockery and cooking utensils. The cottage is on a farm and therefore quite remote. This provides a great setting with lovely paths and (single track) roads to walk along to admire the scenery. Even from the cottage windows there are open views across the countryside to distant hills and the sea. The beautiful Crinan Canal is only a few miles away and by driving a few more miles you can tour through the most beautiful countryside. There are hundreds (literally) of historic sites within a few miles - standing stones and cairns/barrow mounds in abundance.
While were there, there was an electricity outage and Jacinta came round with a battery lantern and a bag of logs for the fire. Jacinta was also full of good ideas of places to go and interesting things to see. The only disappointing feature of our stay was a lack of instructions for things like the cooker, the heaters, the log burner, how to process the rubbish etc. Otherwise, it was all good and we had a great time.

The cottage felt very welcoming on arrival, and the communication with owners was good, attentive but not intrusive. The cottage feels remote and isolated but is only a 10 minute drive from Lochgilphead. Cottage was warm and cosy despite wind and rain of first day of stay. There's a wood burner but I didn't need to light it. Great location for wildlife watching; walking; cycling; history and archaeology; from the doorstep, or a short drive away. I felt safe and comfortable travelling alone. Cottage would also be great for a couple, or up to 4 people.

""Had a lovely stay at Seaview Cottage."
If you are looking for a secluded location, look no further. The cottage is surrounded by breathtaking scenery and wildlife everywhere you look. Jacinta, the host, has gone to great lengths to ensure her guests are well informed with things to do and see, from the property description on this website to the selection of books and handwritten index cards found in the property on arrival.
Having come from the hustle and bustle of Nottingham (relatively!) it was really quite bizarre the first time we stepped out of the car and heard pure silence. That in itself was an experience I won't forget. There are loads of nice, short walks right on the cottage's doorstep, and a whole country full of them if you are prepared to travel a little further afield. There is a very picturesque bay a short walk from the property, and when the tide is out you can walk across to an island. Sturdy walking boots would be essential!
The cottage itself is really lovely, well furnished and very well equipped. I particularly enjoyed the log burner and appreciated that there was enough wood for one night when we arrived. More could be purchased from nearby Lochgilphead (10 min) or Oban (50 min). The cottage was kept cozy with electric central heating and there was always plenty of hot water available for washing ourselves or dishes.
It was our first trip to Scotland and my wife and I are already itching to return, and we would stay here again without a moments hesitation.
I just have one piece of feedback to the owner (or any other owners of remote properties), which is that finding the property on a map before we came was a real challenge and providing the "What 3 Words" address along with the postal address would have been a big help and avoided any doubt that after a long journey I'd arrive at a remote location and find it was the wrong house!"

The kitchen was well equipped and we ate in several times. The location is extremely quiet and peaceful, with great views from the windows and some lovely walks from the doorstep. It was nice to see the cows and calves doing their thing in the fields next door, quite a bit of birdlife, deer a frequent sight from the cottage also. Only a short drive away are numerous excellent walking and wildlife opportunities - with the beaver project and Taynish nature reserve among our favourites. For lunches - the café at Tayvallich came top of our list, with Kilmartin museum café not far behind, and the Smiddy Bistro in Lochgilphead a close 3rd. For dining out in the evening we would recommend the Seafood Bar at Crinan (excellent food and less formal than the Westward restaurant), and also the Inn at Tayvallich. Finally a thank you to our host, Jacinta, who was easily contactable if we needed anything, and left us in peace otherwise. We would happily return here for another week.

My husband and I stayed with our 1 year old and son and Jacinta was very accommodating of our little one; providing a highchair, cot, stairgate and baby cutlery/crockery. The house is beautifully decorated and very clean - the log burner was a very welcome treat after some chilly walks!
Jacinta was really helpful in suggesting good walks and things to see in the area and the house is well stocked with lots of good books on local walks and historic sites. And also the odd book about cows! Staying on the farm was so nice for our little boy, being able to see cows from his window every morning! One day Iain and Jacinta were kind enough to give us a tour of the farm. We were able to see the sheep being fed, a new calf who had been born just the night before and Jacinta showed us some of the standing stones and other historic sites that are around the farm land.

"This holiday was for a very much needed rest, Jacinta and Sea-view were the perfect anecdote."
Jacinta is the best hostess, there is nothing to much trouble, to ensure your holiday is as you want it. The cottage is fully equipped with everything you would possibly need, if need be, Jacinta has the answer/knowledge to provide it. Yes had a brilliant time. Maggs & Paul

"A lovely cottage."
So peaceful. Only the birdsong to break the silence. Fairly remote.

"The cottage was in a beautiful setting with views of the bay."
Not only is it a great place to relax, it’s also very close to historical sites, wonderful wildlife, great restaurants and pubs. If you are looking for a quiet break to recharge the batteries and enjoy nature then this is the place to come. Breathtaking scenery.

"Jacinta and Iain have created a true little treasure with their Seaview Cottage in the middle of nowhere."
. or, rather, somewhere, because there is so much do discover in the peaceful surroundings - be it ancient stone circles inbetween mystic forests and hills (or the conserved footprint of young kings of forgotten times!) or multiple paths and trails close by.
Within all this the cottage offers a cosy refugium after your outdoor days. The kitchen is excellently equipped and bunches of fresh herbs in front of the house complete the picture (and taste).
Jacinta is always present and ready to help, so you will not miss a thing during your stay.
