  • "Bayview was a lovely place to stay."

    Bright, clean and welcoming, it was the perfect place to relax after days out around Lewis and Harris. The cottage was beautifully decorated and was much more spacious than we were expecting, the provision of a few things was a nice touch. A comfortable bed and black out blinds in the bedroom helped us sleep well. A beach within a 20 mins walk was an added bonus!

  • "We had a wonderful stay at Bayview."

    It was Cosy and comfortable and had a lovely homely feel. After our days exploring the outer Hebrides It was a perfect place to come back to and relax. The cottage felt special and helped make our holiday in Lewis and Harris one we would always remember. We made some lovely memories and would highly recommend staying here. We would love to return one day.

  • "The overall impression of Bayview was excellent."

    From first stepping into the airy, bright and spacious cottage we knew we had backed a winner. It had everything you could wish for to make your holiday complete, including a secure garden for our wee dog. Bayview would also be perfect for colder months, the heating is second to none. It also is a perfect location for seeing all the many wonderful sites and beaches, all within easy reach. I would have no doubts about highly recommending this super cottage.

  • "A veritable home-from-home."

    Everything you need is in the house, with owner Megan close-by if you needed anything - a superb host. A perfect base to explore the Hebrides - only 30 minutes drive from/to the Stornoway ferry. Can’t recommend this property high enough - fabulous. Please remember, the Hebrides are not renowned for continuous sunshine, however, its beaches are world-class, and you couldn’t meet a friendlier bunch of people. A marvellous icon of Gaelic culture - embrace it.

  • "Bayview is a lovely wee cottage with a nice views of the beach and surrounding countryside."

    The house is perfectly placed for exploring the island and an ideal size for a couple with a dog especially as there is an enclosed garden. The cottage was immaculately clean and had every amenity that you could need. We will be back!

  • "The bungalow is perfect."

    It is spacious and very well equipped. Clean and really warm. Garden is secure and the bathroom is spacious with double shower. Everything is clean and tidy. I personally would like to mention that both blankets were clean, fresh and smelled fresh. You don’t often get that in properties and that tiny detail has made that much difference we definitely would book again

    Comfortable bed and large kitchen equipped with all the essentials. Not many places to eat out locally so the kitchen for us was important. A great place for a quiet break, with stunning scenery and perfect beaches.

    The cottage manages to be bright and airy whilst being cosy too. Spotlessly clean, comfy bed, good shower and a well equipped kitchen. Megan was a great proactive communicator. Garden is great for the dog, completely enclosed and lots of space. We had a great week.

  • "The cottage was clean and in good repair."

    However felt it lacked a few things that would have made it more homely. A few pictures on the walls. Lack of some utensils eg more cutlery, colander, only one tea towel. No place mats for the table. Feel the dining table would be better with chairs rather than benches. A couple of loungers for the back of the cottage which is a lovely suntrap. The garden is very dog friendly and secure. Olive our black lab loved the chickens More information for guest regarding the surrounding area. No emergency information eg. doctors, vet etc
