  • "We really enjoyed staying at the property."

It had everything we needed. An improvement I would suggest would be some sort of privacy aid (blind/screen on glass door in vestibule) for passing from bathroom to bedrooms after using the shower. Our first impression of the property was that it was accurate to listing and well maintained.

  • "This is a comfortable and very well equipped house."

We went to Skydancer coffee shop a couple of times and to the Lochboisdale Hotel for dinner and a ceilidh both within walking distance. Many thanks for a great stay.

  • "One of the best properties we have stayed in."

The views were wonderful, it was clean, it was comfortable and well equipped. It was finished to a high standard and a joy to return to. It is true that it is in the middle of a VERY quite housing estate but this does not detract from the property and the views you get from every room.

  • "We had a great stay in this little property."

It was cosy, clean, well furnished and lovely to wake up to such a stunning view. It was particularly great for the kids who loved popping out to the playground next to the house, and around to the little all-weather football pitch around the corner. A great base for exploring the Uist’s - and we particularly loved Eriskay and the beaches there. Had a nice meal at Am Politician on Eriskay. Would definitely stay here again.

Thank you so much for your kind review. We are so pleased you enjoyed your holiday. Our very best regards Property Owner

  • "Such a lovely home which has been cleverly set up to give a really comforting and relaxing experience."

We enjoyed our time there in a very well-equipped cottage that had stunning views. The only thing to be aware of is that there is a washing machine not washer/dryer. We will definitely hope to stay there again if visiting South Uist.

  • "Although in a fairly residential area it was quiet and beautifully appointed."

Parking available (although a neighbour was parked in there to start with!) and if you have children there is a play park right under the window and a basketball court up the road :) Really enjoyed the stay and the cottage was lovely

  • "This was a lovely holiday cottage and a great base for all that South Uist has to offer."

It was comfortable, well equipped and very light and airy. The porch is great for storing walking and swimming gear. Highly recommended.

  • "What a treat to stay in this beautiful house!"

We’ve absolutely loved our stay here and were sorry to leave. This house has made an excellent base from which to explore these gorgeous Islands. We loved the proximity to the Ferry port and Marina. The house is immaculately clean, comfortable and well equipped, we have felt completely at home. The little extras provided were a lovely touch. The ever changing views from the cleverly designed windows were beautiful. We used the binoculars provided to watch the birds, deer, seals and fish jumping in the sea all from the comfort of the sofa. We were able to charge our electric car in the parking space provided. The walk to the hotel and pub was 3 minutes away where we enjoyed a local gin and fresh seafood. The play park and the most picturesque football pitch in Scotland was very handy for the kids to explore! We will definitely be back!

  • "The property was beautifully furnished and extremely well equipped."

We had absolutely everything we needed plus loads more! We were a little disappointed with the setting of the property as the photos had been rather cleverly set up to omit the housing estate in the background to the front. The photos made the property look as if it was on its own in a very wild location, however this was not the case. We were surrounded by houses to the front and a rather rundown and broken play park to the rear and felt very overlooked from all directions. The view to the rear of the property (beyond the play park) was stunning though and made up for the disappointment. The property provided a brilliant base from which to explore the Uists and Eriskay, and we absolutely loved the raw and rugged landscapes and beaches. Despite the disappointing location, we would consider returning to the property in the future, purely because of the ease of access to the ferry port and the comfort it provided us during our stay.

Hello Sarah, Thank you for your review. We are glad that you enjoyed our newly refurbished property, the views and the close proximity to the ferry terminal. We have taken new photographs that provide a better understanding of the area. We look forward to perhaps seeing you again. Best Regards Property Owner
