Allocated parking space was essential to us, so ideal. We have already booked a return trip.

Location, cleanliness, size, beds, decor, equipment, etc. We used everything pretty much - oven, hob, washing machine, dryer, dishwasher, iron, vacuum, coffee percolator, TVs, wine cooler

  • "4-Holt Court was brilliant, excellent accommodation very central to Sailsbury with secure parking."

The accommodation was immaculately clean when we arrived. The property was a lot larger than appeared in the photos with a lovely balcony to sit out on. We were very pleased with the property and our stay. Salisbury offered some lovely independent eateries and gorgeous areas of natural beauty close by for walks. I would definitely recommend anyone visiting Sailsbury to stay here, large spacious rooms that easily slept 6.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your lovely comments and recommending 4 Holt Court. Property Owner

Much refurbishment was required which was acknowledged by the owner. Location of property good and many high quality eating venues in walking distance

Thank you for your feedback regarding your recent stay. We take all feedback very seriously and are in touch with the owner to confirm all comments have now been rectified. Property Owner

  • "The apartment overall is beautiful, very comfortable and we'll appointed, perfect for a stay in Salisbury, and the location is ideal."

Even the mezzanine bedroom over the open plan living area was OK for the kids. Unfortunately, the holiday was ruined by the state of the ensuite bathroom, black mould, silicone coming away, years of dust and grime built up on the door, limescale encrusted shower head and hose. A broken sliding door difficult for children to close. The apartment had a funny smell when we arrived, which we quickly tracked to the ensuite. It only got worse as the week progressed, despite airing the apartment continuously. Myself and one daughter suffer from asthma, and at times the smell caught in the back of the throat and set off the asthma. It's clearly a health hazard. My other teenage daughter refused to use the shower she was so disgusted by the grime. The other bathroom also has broken tiles with a note apologising, so they are clearly having plumbing issues which they need to sort out urgently. The second issue was the roof windows and blinds, again with notes stuck to the side advising in use. The instructions did not work, the blinds are fitted too close to the window stays and foul, so are unopenable, so the mezzanine area was permanently dark. The wooden block the opening stay is affixed to was broken, so it was not possible to open the window itself. With heat build up in a hot loft apartment, being able to easily open the skylights would have been a godsend, but it was not possible. A potentially perfect holiday was ruined by problems which should be easy to fix, and for £1100 for the week I think these problems are unacceptable.

Thank you for your feedback regarding your stay at Brown Street Apartment. I'm sorry you had issues with the shower during your stay, did you report this straight away to the owner to arrange to get this fixed straight away?. We would always advise guests to do this. I will pass on your comments to the owner to check all the above you have mentioned has been fixed now. Property Owner

  • "The apartment is in an excellent position, right in the centre of town."

I have two complaints - firstly light bulbs, or rather the lack of functioning ones. There are at least 9 lights that don't work - we bought two bulbs for lights in the main room, to making reading in the evening easier. Secondly duvets and pillows - they are flat, duvets not warm enough - as there were only 3 of us in the flat we doubled up the duvets. Definitely need replacing.

Thank you for your comments. We are glad that you were happy with the property's location. We have passed the remaining comments on to the owner to be addressed. e hope you enjoyed your stay otherwise. Best wishes Hideaways Property Owner

  • "A superb apartment in the perfect location."

Unbelievably peaceful for a city centre. An ideal base for Salisbury and the surrounding area. Only (slight) quibble was a number of lightbulbs not working.

The property

Located right in the heart of Salisbury, 4 Holt Court is a superb property!

We found it to be perfect for guests wishing to explore the attractions of this historic Cathedral city with a wealth of great places to eat and drink literally within a minute’s walk – it really could not be better placed.

All first and second floor, there are three bedrooms; one super king size double bed with TV and ensuite shower and WC.

The other bedrooms are both twins. Set back from the street in a courtyard setting with its own designated parking space outside, the accommodation is presented to a really high standard.

The apartment, which is spacious for the city centre, is set on the first floor and is presented to a very high standard.

It is both stylish and unusual with bags of character including exposed brick walls, timber beams and a quirky, upstairs gallery.

The bedrooms are large and smart, with the kitchen and bathroom being similarly contemporary. We really like this apartment, it’s an excellent choice for a trip to Salisbury – and with parking incl.

you can really relax and enjoy yourself.

Salisbury itself is full of historic shops and one of the largest markets within the UK.

Walks can be had all around via the city trail.

4 Holt Court is available for couples or young families to come and explore Salisbury and the surrounding area.

About the location

SALISBURY

Andover 17 miles; Southampton 23 miles

The medieval city of Salisbury is the jewel in Wiltshire's crown, dominated by the majestic 13th century Gothic cathedral. The cathedral offers 750 years of history including Britain's tallest spire, the world's best preserved original Magna Carta, and Europe's oldest working clock. The surrounding cathedral close, full of architectural gems, is bordered by the River Avon and ancient Chilmark stone walls. The city offers historic streets with charming half-timbered buildings, traditional pubs, characterful shops and a twice-weekly market. Or, stroll along the Town Path and take in the awe-inspiring views across the water meadows towards the cathedral. After dark, there's a thriving arts scene, including one of the country's leading repertory theatres, a lively arts centre, cinema and a wealth of independent restaurants. Should you want to explore further afield then a short drive from Salisbury takes you to Stonehenge, the National Trust's Stourhead House and gardens, majestic Wilton House, as well as the New Forest National Park, and the Hampshire and Dorset coasts. There's so much to see and do in Salisbury and surrounding area that your only concern will be finding the time to do it all!
