  • "We were told that we would be welcomed by the owners, but they were nowhere to be seen."

We are used to getting a welcome pack of goodies, again nowhere to be seen. Also I rang the numbers provided to let them know when we would be arriving and no answer on either line. Everything was fine and functional, but seemed a bit tired.

I am sorry that we did not see you. Sadly when we have guests for a quick 2 night stay it can be easy to miss you, especially with nine other properties and guests coming and going daily. For your weekend stay, we left some lovely fresh eggs from our chickens. We do hope you enjoyed them. I am sorry however that your expectations were not met. Describing anything as 'Tired' is subjective. We offer extremely good value for money. An increased budget may have got you accommodation more suited to you. Property Owner

  • "Lovely well equipped cottage, but the shower needs maintenance, also for user convenience a small shelf to place your bathroom bits and pieces would be nice."

Bed is scrumptious snuggly and comfortable. Great peaceful 4 days

  • "Good value for money, quite a small cottage but comfortable and everything you need is there."

Cleanliness could be better, the kitchen was a bit greasy and the state of the bathroom also requires some attention (loose taps, shower doors don't close properly). Location is excellent, near Shaftesbury and within an hour driving of both the south and the west coast.

It was a lovely setting, the cottage was well stocked and the owners were very friendly and helpful. Thank you
