Was a lovely cottage in a loverly area , owner Anne was very helpful & pleasant, we didn’t find the settee very comfortable, & the tap in the bathroom was annoying, & we didn’t have much heating when it got cold, electric fire only , but after saying all that, if we going back to that area again we would be very happy to say there again , because it was a very lovely cottage, in a very lively area & Anne was very helpful,

"On the photographs of the property it looked light and airy but it was dark and gloomy."
I couldn’t use the settee as it was far too low and had seen better days. Clear glass panes on the bathroom door ie, no privacy. Difficult for a man to shave. Mirror too far away and the steeply slanting roof over the basin didn’t help. To us the property wasn’t outstanding and didn’t deserve 5 ticks.

we were able to use the car to travel to some wonderful areas. It is in an excellent part of the country with a lovely well kept, peaceful place, down a quite country lane with excellent views. Easy to escape from everything and enjoy the beautiful countryside.

The view from the windows was superb and the ponies in the paddock were a welcome sight. The cottage had a charm of its own and was reasonably well equipped. The welcome pack on arrival was particularly appreciated.

There is plenty to see and do in the surrounding area. Scarborough and Whitby are well worth a visit. Anne was very welcoming and the treats on arrival were a lovely thought. I would recommend this cottage to friends and will certainly return in the future.

The Stable has undergone a great transformation - comfortable, tasteful, very well equipped. Loved the welcome pack, all the up to date local information and the super farm with all the animals. For November we had mild temperatures and so enjoyed the beautiful setting of the farm.

Everything was comfortable and well looked after, the welcome basket was a lovely touch and made a nice start to the holiday. The farm itself was beautiful and we had a stunning view from our bedroom window. The house itself was generally very clean, if a little dusty in places but it certainly wouldn't put us off staying again. We had a wonderful time, thank you!

"For couples this accommodation was absolutely ideal, very comfortable and cosy."
The owners, Ann and William Lovegreen had very thoughtfully provided a welcome pack including some delicious home made cakes. The views from the outside patio are stunning across the meadows as is the whole area of the Dales. Local pubs within walking distance, only used the White Swan, excellent food. Take some apples and carrots for George the horse who resides in an expansive paddock at the front of the residence.
Such lovely hosts will definitely go back at some time.
