"The property & location is top class, can’t be more expected."
Due to the lack of maintenance of the property I have to mark poor in some areas. Some of the issues I read before booking still not resolved as I have talked to sykes customer service just before confirming the booking and assured issues been fixed but it’s not. Main issues are the shower at both bathrooms, the one at upstairs had issues (leaking hot water tap as it’s not mixing with cold water and you hardly get warm water to shower). All 7 of us using the ground floor one but the power shower also not working at the last day of our stay. But overall the cottage is very nice if all the issues fixed it will be a dream destination for holidays. The owner is responsive but the issues can’t be solved instantly but needs to be addressed. Kids loved the cottage, had a great time. Plenty of rooms and lawned area at the front can’t be better. Overall if the ongoing issues fixed I will be happy to back the property again.

"Lovely well equipped farmhouse."
Ideal for families with lots of room in the house and a big garden with superb views across the Dales. The owner was very friendly and helpful. It is very secluded but is a good base for visiting other places in the Dales. There is a pub a mile up the road which does an excellent Sunday lunch and the pub gardens overlook stunning views.

"We absolutely love the location and property in general."
Whilst on the whole the property was clean there were a lot of cobwebs and areas which had not been deep cleaned as stated in the welcome pack. The inside rubber on the washing machine was very dirty with black grime. We were very grateful for the wine and chocolates. We do feel that the property could benefit from some money being spent in the kitchen on the cupboard doors, the cold water tap barely worked in the kitchen and the downstairs bathroom is in need of attention. The shower was under par, poor power shower, dirty shower curtain and grouting. There is damp on the wall near the basin and we were very often joined with woodlice whilst in the shower. We would love to return to the property and would not wish to offend the owner but am sure they would understand our point of views.

"What we enjoyed:
Beautiful, peaceful, quiet, countryside location Wonderfully comfortable beds!"
Spacious rooms
Well appointed kitchen
Cozy fireplace
Great little washer and dryer
Very responsive owners
On our next visit, we would love to see:
More lighting in the kitchen
Maybe warm the house up before arrival
A rubber spatula in the kitchen
More hooks for hanging wet clothes
We loved our stay, especially visiting with Dan and Bruce. Thank you both so much!

"This is a wonderful cottage."
To call such a spacious place with so much history a 'cottage' is not to be fair. This is a proper ex-farmhouse with all the sense of history which it holds. If you like a truly get-away-from-it-all experience with no frills attached, this might well suit you. It did for us.

"It was perfect for a holiday with two four year olds and a toddler."
It was roomy and safe. A gate was provided for the stairs. The living kitchen was great for family meals. There was a wonderfully safe garden with fantastic views and as the cottage is on a farm, there were animals to see. The utiltity room was very useful for storing all the coats and shoes after being out and about. The bedrooms were warm, adequately furnished with super views. The bathroom was always warm.
The owner was delightful and very chatty and friendly.
The holiday was a complete success and I would say that the cottage was key in making it so.
Thank you Jayne.

"We thoroughly enjoyed our Christmas break at Sunnyside Cottages."
The owner Jayne had kindly decorated the house with Christmas trees and decorations,we also really appreciated the kind welcome gift of chocolates and wine. The house was very clean and comfortable and a great get away from the business of Xmas. It is well located with nearby walks and places of interest. Jayne was incredibly friendly and welcoming and made us feel very much at home. We would recommend this property to others. (Despite the online description stating there was no wifi ,this has now been installed, although we were happy to escape from technology).
