"We had a wonderful stay at the cottage."
It was very cosy and has everything we needed, the beds were very comfy and the kitchen was well stocked. There was a lot to do near by for young children such as stockeld park and our daughter had a lovely week. Thank you!
Thank you so much for posting feedback Im really pleased you had a good time and found the cottage comfortable. Property Owner

"Tastefully decorated cottage."
As described. As a period property it is bound to have its draughts. Unfortunately the weather was incredibly cold during our visit and whilst the heating worked fine the log burner was essential and struggled to keep up. The main bedroom was warm and snug but the living room struggled with the cold air whistling through the front door. A curtain over the front door and at bottom of stairs would help tremendously.

"Very comfortable, homely, well equipped and tastefully decorated cottage."
It was very cosy and even though the weather was quite damp and a bit chilly we didn’t need to light the log burner. The heating was set to come on regularly. We had the owner’s details and could contact her if we had any issues. We had none. We had a lovely stay. We found a pub within walking distance and very friendly locals - a good base to visit friends and family. Would stay again.
Such lovely feedback, good to have guests with a positive attitude, thank you! Property Owner

"There was no heating"
Thank you for your helpful response. As the information pack clearly tells you to contact me if you need anything I am surprised that you did not. If there was no heating then I could have sorted it out. There is a fire with a supply of logs which guests can light at any time. As I recall September was a very warm month. The cottage a has full central heating system. Property Owner

"Good location."
Bus stopped right outside cottage to Harrogate and Leeds. Parking on front. Very nice homely feel.

"Snowdrop Cottage fulfilled our needs perfectly."
-
"Charming cottage, well equipped & had everything needed for comfortable stay."
Kitchen is well kitted-out with all the essentials, log burner in addition to heating was bonus especially on the one cooler night of our stay. Parking not an issue & location perfect for Dales, Moors & Wolds. Only 20-30 minutes from Harrogate & York, an hour from coast & made an ideal base for some great days out. Village shop convenient, supermarkets within easy reach by car too. Owner was great, helpful & on hand if needed. Cottage was clean & homely and I’d recommend to others as a great base to explore North Yorkshire.
Thank you so much for your thorough and positive review, I am so glad that you enjoyed your stay at Snowdrop Cottage. Property Owner

"More of a value cottage than anything special, but overall, this was decent value for money for a cottage that perhaps needs some investment to improve its decorative appearance."
Thank you for your feedback to Sykes Alan. Had you mentioned your feelings to me during our long chat after check out, I would have agreed that some paintwork needed attention and told you that the bathroom flooring is going to be replaced along with several other jobs that require doing at the end of a busy season. Now that lockdown is here again we have time at last. If it was merely that you didn't find the decorative style to your taste, then I am sorry about that as the majority comment favourably. I do regret that you disregarded my note re heating times as I very much needed feedback on that. Property Owner

"Snowdrop cottage was lovely, clean and well presented."
Very quaint and quiet. The bed was so comfortable. Any issues raised to the owner Julie were addressed and took on board to improve for the next person, as we found some equipment lacking for self catering and no real entertainment like we have found in other cottages. Had we thought to contact the owner she would have sorted this including a couple of board games etc. The location was good to explore but did not realise it was so overlooked. The back door was directly on to a road and row of cottages behind where they parked their cars. There is also no shop in the village. Over all very happy and would recommend.
Thank you for your feedback. All feedback is useful and I do my best to act upon it. In this instance a few items have been added to the kitchen including the pint glasses and tongs you requested. With regard to entertainment, there is TV/DVD, Wi-Fi & and a selection of books. I have had board games and found they are not used at all. I am sorry you did not discover the handy Post Office/shop just 3 minutes drive down the hill near the pub. They have most necessities and the best pork pies daily. There is a gravelled area behind the cottage, sometimes one or at the most two cars park there, it is by no means a road. Snowdrop Cottage being at the end of the row is not directly overlooked by anyone. I'm so glad the bed was comfortable and you had a good stay. Property Owner

"Excellent comfortable cottage."
Very clean and welcoming with complimentary cake, milk etc. Very well situated for visits to Wetherby, York, Yorkshire dales etc.
-
"I asked if the garden was enclosed for a dog."
It is not at ground level to a foot and a half up. The gripper on the stairs carpet goes through the carpet and puts holes in your socks. The doorway to the dinning room is lower than all the others so keep hitting your head, should have a ⚠️

"A small treasure in a most incredible location."
Very clean, comfortable and cozy with everything we needed. The cottage also offered a great country feel, central to almost all locations in that part of Yorkshire with easy access to York, Leeds, Harrogate, The Dales or the East Coast towns. Well done ticks every box. Would return in a heartbeat

"Was a beautiful cottage ."
.nice quiet area to relax and get away from the hustle and bustle...very clean and tidy ..was like home from home ...would definitely recommend a stay here .

"The cottage was comfortable."
.. there was a dishwasher and washing machine in the property but not mentioned on you site...not many dishes or glasses. Cutlery old. Downies old too really need to be replaced... Cottage in a beautiful village but no where served food... Julie was very helpful and made sure everything was ok. Not many information leaflets in cottage about things to in the area but we gathered them when we were out and left for other guests
Dear Mrs Hogg, I am glad you found the cottage comfortable, the dishwasher and washing machine are now listed on Sykes site. There are also plate settings for 6. The downie was a thin polyester one put on as the weather was so hot. My usual duvets are top quality feather and down to snuggle into in the winter months. There is an excellent fish and chip shop in the village, three drinking pubs in Clifford but 3 to 4 minute drive to Bramham will bring you to The Red Lion which serves lunch and dinner. Boston Spa which is just over a mile away has a huge selection of eating places. Thank you for collecting leaflets; I have added plenty more. Best Regards, Julie Property Owner
