  • "The property was generally okay if a little tired."

It was adequately equipped and clean (although we did find an unwashed plate in the cupboard). When I booked I didn't appreciate how steep the street was so parking the car was terrifying. The village was very nice and the shop owners very friendly. It was a good place to use as a base for days out.

Hi we are continuing upgrading the cottage. For example, we have just had brand new John Lewis sofas delivered today. We have also had all our rugs and carpet deep cleaned last week. There are plenty parking space further up the road (flat) approx 20m away from the cottage. Also there is a Council car park at the bottom of the hill (5 mins walk from the cottage) just opposit the shop Spar. We fell in love with Pateley when we first came here. People are happy and very friendly. Patlely won The Happiest Town award in 2017! Property Owner

  • "Excellent property - really comfortable, cosy place to stay."

The only thing that we didn't like the look of from the photos was the cooker which seemed old fashioned but it was fine! We like cooking and had no problems with it at all. Kitchen was great. Rooms were all good, bathrooms excellent. The kids were very happy. Pateley Bridge is a lovely place to base yourself, the people are so friendly and you can get all your weekly provisions on the high street. And the surrounds are stunning - we visited Saltaire, Haworth (and the steam train), Grassington, Fountain Abbey, Bolton Abbey, Simon's Seat, York - it was a full week, we loved it! My grandparents used to live in Dibbles Bridge and my Mum worked at Stump Cross Caverns in her teens, but I haven't visited for 40 years too long. We will be back soon! Thank you so much.

  • "A very nice property with great potential."

Lovely bathroom and shower room. Good sized bedrooms and an added bonus of a downstairs toilet. Real fire was a bonus although no starter pack or matches available and no companion set. Air fryer was also a bonus. The property would benefit from a little tweaking such as: A food cupboard to be made available in the kitchen Waste bin in the bathroom and kitchen roll to be provided. Provision of ice cube trays. Drawer units in the second bedroom needed More coathangers needed. Also when air vents on it is very noisy in the attic room- worth warning people so it can be turned off during the night. Instructions needed for the TV. No visitor book - it would be good for feedback. The points above are just small points -which would enhance the experience but overall it is a lovely place in a fantastic central position near the high street in Pately Bridge.

Thank you for taking the time to leave us such a positive feedback Susan. We are glad that you and your family enjoyed your stay. We bought the new smart TV just before Christmas. Sorry you could not find the TV instruction. The engineer actually left the TV instruction in the chest of drawers in the living room. I have now made sure the TV instruction is in the same folder along with the others. We have now bought a small waste bin for the family bathroom, extra hangers, guests book and ice cube tray as suggested. We do not provide firewood but as mentioned in arrival message, Firewood - can be purchased in the shop (R S Discounts) which is 2 minutes walk from the cottage. Or 3 minutes drive to local farm (Hawkesworth Coal Ltd). The boiler is new and efficient and should warm up quickly. Hot water is automatically heated as you use it. Parking - there are usually some parking spaces right outside of the cottage. And more parking spaces in Old Church Lane about 15-20 metres up the hill from the cottage. Plus there is the council car park off the high street, opposite Spar (parking fee is very reasonable). Have a wonderful 2024. We hope you will return soon. We will be happy to answer your questions anytime before, during and after your stay. Property Owner

  • "The property is located centrally at the top of the hill in Pateley bridge, providing a comfortable, homely place to stay for the pretty shops, walks and trips to Harrogate, Grassington and smaller Yorkshire villages."

If taking children, provide your own plastic cutlery, cups and anything unbreakable! The local pie shop and butchers are worth a visit too.

Gald you enjoyed your stay Alison. We have ordered plastic cutlery, cups and plates for children. The pubs around the corner, the fish and chips shop are brilliant too. Property Owner

  • "Fabulous location!"

Super comfy main bed and powerful shower in ensuite. Easy key safe, evening sun on front terrace. 3 pubs within walking distance. Great butchers (loved their pies!) bakery, pizza, chinese, chippy and Willow cafe (outstanding breakfast) all on door step. Would recommend. Walks from your doorstep, up and down dale. So many fabulous places to visit within half hr drive, Harrogate, How Stean Gorge, caverns, Brimham Rocks, Bolton Abbey, Strid Woods, Ripon and many more. Had a great family week away. Thank you!

  • "Great short stay in a wonderful location (8 years since we last stayed at Pateley Bridge!"

) - the cottage was fantastic, comfortable and a bit like the proverbial Tardis. We cooked from the cottage quite a bit, which was easy with such good butchers in the village as well as convenience stores such as Spar and Nisa. Loved a pint of Summit at The Royal Oak. The whole place and cottage just chilled us all out. Went to the Forbidden Corner - great but weird day out. We’ve been to Hawes several times lately so skipped that, but couldn’t resist Grassington - lovely cafes and pubs to eat out in. The cottage owners are incredibly helpful, nice and don’t stand on ceremony - if they can make a guest happy, they seem to get a kick out of that. They’re new to the property apparently, but I can tell you they want to make a very positive impression…..and they did.

That's amazing feedback, thank you so much! Pateley Bridge is a lovely village and we are glad you enjoyed your stay. We've just added a Tassimo coffee machine to the cottage and we'll continue to do our best to make our guests feel as comfortable as possible. Property Owner

  • "Lovely cottage, great facilities."

Very clean and tidy, a nice welcome tray with biscuits and coffee. Rooms were comfortable and the en-suite and downstairs toilet an added bonus. The location was excellent for walking and exploring. I would have loved to stay longer, but other commitments prevented us from booking the whole week. Thank you

Thank you for you generous 100/100 feedback and we are delighted that you enjoyed your stay so much and hope that you may return in future! Property Owner

  • "The property was spacious ,well equipped and comfortable."

The beds were comfortable and the ensuite shower was wonderful. We were lucky to be so close to the High Street which was only a 5 minute Walk away. The property was quiet so we enjoyed a peaceful nights sleep in the bedrooms. It was nice to have some tasty biscuits and coffee to welcome us and the appliances in the kitchen were of good quality, it even had an air-fryer. Our booking was only for a weekend break and I enjoyed every minute of it. I would definitely recommend Hamilton Terrace to other potential guests.

Thank you for taking the time to leave us such positive feedback. We are very glad you enjoyed your stay. We loved Pateley Bridge when we first visited and were excited to find the cottage last year. We are planning to continue improving the facilities so our guests can enjoy as comfortable a stay as possible and do hope you return soon. Property Owner
