• "An excellent cottage for sharing with grandchildren and their parents, our second visit."

  Wonderful location..great view. Lovely additional touches, fresh flowers, chocs, speciality bread and homemade jam. Suggestions from previous visit had been carried out too. David and Brettle do an excellent job and are on hand next door if needed.

• "A fabulous, well equipped cottage with amazing views."

  Only a10 min walk into Grassington or Threshfield, both have a well stocked store for food/drinks etc. David, lives next door was a perfect host, very friendly and welcoming. We all very much enjoyed our stay and would recommend to everyone. Can recommend the food at The Queen's in Litton a 15/20 min drive.

• "This is a gem."

  Couldn’t fault it. Will be on our top list of houses to return to. Great location for the area. Lots to do. Four comfortable bedrooms. 4 bathrooms. In a quiet cul de sac with great views. Good garden to sit in if you get the weather. Well equipped with comfortable furniture. We had no issues whilst we were there but if we had hosts live next door. Very friendly.

• "We had the most lovely week at Peggy's Place."

  The location and the house was definitely our favourite place to stay so far. The house was warm, spacious, very well equipped, super comfortable and immaculately clean. We had everything we needed and more, for a perfect stay. The views over the Dales from the lounge, dining room and kitchen were stunning and it was perfectly situated to visit a host of beautiful places by foot and by car. David and Brettle were excellent hosts. They were welcoming and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The welcome pack was very much appreciated and was a lovely touch. Thank you both for letting us stay in your beautiful cottage. We can't recommend Peggy's Place highly enough and we can't wait to visit again.

• "A clean, warm, pleasant house with stunning views from the kitchen and dining room."

  Attractive garden. Driveway parking for one car, on a slope so check your handbrake, street parking for a second car. Loads of hot water and modern bathrooms. Comfortable beds. Easy walk to Grassington with pubs, a shop and fuel nearby. Longer walks easily accessed from the doorstep. Friendly, helpful owners living right next door. An excellent stay.

• "Our party of seven found Peggy’s Place spacious, well-equipped, attractively decorated and comfortable."

  The garden was a pleasure to sit in during good weather. We enjoyed our week in the cottage very much and would recommend it as a perfect base for a visit to the Dales.

• "This is one of the best holiday cottages we've ever been to."

  The location was perfect. It was very quiet with beautiful views over Wharfedale yet was only a short walking distance to the relative hustle and bustle of Grassington. Lots of walks of varying lengths and difficulty were on our doorstep but there was still easy access to Skipton and further afield. Peggy's Place itself was immaculate, warm and very well equipped. The beds were all very comfortable and the fact that there were four bathrooms was an added bonus. David and Brettle were the perfect hosts too and we would all have no hesitation is recommending Peggy's Place.

• "Peggy’s Place was excellent for our party of six."

  David and Brettle had thoughtfully left a welcome pack of essentials for us, ie, milk, bread, etc., which was great. The property was spacious and clean. The weather was excellent, so we had three BBQ’s that week. We would definitely consider returning.

• "This was a lovely cottage in a very pretty location."

  The cottage was immaculately presented and the owner had very kindly provided some home made bread, butter, milk and some little chocolates which were very much appreciated. David was very helpful but not obtrusive. We were a group of 4 richly maturing ladies and found the cottage had everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. If you want feedback that could make it even better, I would suggest a black out blind in the green bedroom as it is light in the early morning and perhaps some small teaspoons in the kitchen. But that is really being niggly given the high standard of comfort and facilities provided. I give it a 10/10.

• "We had a perfect family christmas in Peggy's Place."

  David and Brettle were the perfect hosts. Welcoming and helpful, they made sure we settled in well, then left us to it with the knowledge we could contact them anytime if needed. The house was clean, comfortable, warm and spacious, accommodating 8 of us easily. On christmas day, we were joined for dinner by 5 other local family members. Cooking for 13 was no problem at all, the kitchen is very well equipped, and adding the small table from the hallway to the end of the huge dinner table, christmas dinner was a huge success. Peggy's Place was a perfect for us and our family reunion in the village we grew up in, we hope to be back in the future.

• "A spacious cottage, clean and well equipped, great for the extended family."

  Lovely views and occasionally deer in the garden. Wipeable table mats would be preferable as fabric ones very hard to keep clean. We also struggled with the oven isolator switch frequently going off as caught by the bins. But overall a great cottage and location.

• "A great house with everything you need and finished to a very high standard and very clean."

• "A fantastic place to stay with lovely owners who went out of their way to help."

  A beautiful property with everything we needed including a smart TV which made life so much more enjoyable for the children. The local shop has everything including a really nice butchers. A beautiful setting with plenty of places to go. We cooked at home but there are many hotels etc for those who prefer to eat out.

• "Peggy's Place was the perfect holiday getaway."

  The house was well presented. It had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Kitchen was well equipped with access out onto the patio, the perfect place to enjoy breakfast whilst soaking up the fantastic views. Bedrooms were comfortable and spacious with 2 being ensuite, as well as a large family bathroom. The property was modern and clean. The welcome pack provided was a lovely touch which included fresh bread, milk, butter and chocolates. David and Brettle were very welcoming and friendly and on hand should we need anything.

  We received a warm Yorkshire welcome. There were thoughtful finishing touches by the owners, I loved the fresh flowers. The property is spacious and affords wonderful views across Wharfedale. Tastefully furnished with amazingly comfortable beds, a great place to enjoy some precious family time. Ideally situated close to the quaint village of Grassington. Lots of lovely pubs, shops and eating places nearby. We all walked our sock off!

  The house is presented really well, has everything you need and felt like a home rather than a holiday let. The views from the property are amazing, it was such a calm and relaxing place to stay. The location is great, walking distance to restaurants, shop, pub etc, whilst maintaining a little distance from Grassington which gets really busy on a nice day. We hope to return.

• "We were a group of friends staying for the weekend at Peggy's Place."

  A well equipped and maintained property with lovely views from the back of the house. Had the weather been warm, we would have enjoyed the garden. We had two lovely sunny, but cool days and enjoyed being able to walk directly from the house - it's a great walking area. The owners, David and Brettle, are very pleasant and helpful - a nice touch were some fresh flowers.

• "The property on arrival seems pretty ordinary, however the views from the rear of the house are spectacular."

  If you are lucky you can walk down to the river but this is dependent on whether there is anyone staying in the next door accommodation as they share access down the side of the garden. So if you are sitting outside beware. The inside is very well set up comfortable and catered for our family including a small baby. The hosts live next door and are very helpful if you need anything. Parking is okay. The drive is on a steep slope and may not suit everyone but there is a further space outside. Bedrooms are all a good size and comfortable. Bathrooms/ showers are very clean. Kitchen has all the basic amenities and you can easily cook for 8 people. Threshfield is a village but the local petrol station has a good Spar with a butchers and deli so you can get most things locally. We had a lovely week here. Completely relaxed. The rangers walking book was much appreciated and we will certainly look to going back.

• "We booked this cozy cottage in November and we had a very relaxing and luxurious stay."

  The property was clean and well maintained with a modern interior. The views from the property were amazing and peaceful, perfect for time away from a busy city. There was lots to do nearby, with country walks and places like Linton falls suitable even in dull weather. The owners next door were very kind and helpful and made sure we had everything we needed. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would book this cottage again.

  What a lovely family to have as our first guests at Peggy's Place! Miss Zaheer, parents, brother and sisters and the two children were really appreciative and left Peggy's Place very clean and tidy. Generously gave us some delicious carrot cake!
