Katie's Cottage is a delightful, stone-built cottage that can be found burrowed in the charming village of Embsay.

Beautifully renovated whilst maintaining character through its original exposed beams and traditional woodburning stove, this cottage offers an idyllic romantic retreat for couples looking to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Step inside the open-plan living area and instantly feel the warm and welcoming ambiance as you fall into the plush leather sofas around the woodburning stove, turning on the flat-screen TV in search of an entertaining movie to enjoy on a quiet night indoors.

Wander over to the pretty country kitchen where you can grab ingredients from the fridge as you work as a team to prepare a mouth-watering feast, making use of the handy appliances and utensils.

Raise a glass to quality time in the countryside as you delight in your magnificent meal, all whilst mapping out your plans for the action-packed days to come.

As the evening draws to a close, pick yourself up from the sofa and climb the staircase to the first floor where you will be greeted into a homey super-king-size bedroom benefiting from a stylish en-suite bathroom, perfect for indulging in a relaxing soak in the tub at the end of an exciting day.

Outside your cottage, discover a lovely patio area to sit out and enjoy lunch alfresco-style as you bask in the warm summer sunshine.

Embark on one of the outstanding scenic walks lying right on your doorstep, including the popular stroll down to the nearby reservoir before moving on to the Embsay Cragg.

Spend your evenings wining and dining in the local pub sitting just a short walk away, where you can devour some tasty pub grub before washing it all down with a quirky real ale from the wide selection available.

Explore the great outdoors with a hike through the Yorkshire Dales or Forrest of Bowland Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, before visiting the market town of Skipton or the popular Wharfedale villages of Bolton Abbey.

The well-loved village of Malham and its dramatic cove can be found just a scenic drive away, and Harrogate, York and Bronte Country are also nearby.

Katie's Cottage makes a fabulous setting for a couples retreat to the magnificent Yorkshire countryside.

Known as “The Gateway to the Dales”, Skipton is well placed for visiting all that the Dales has to offer, whilst York, the Lake District and the West Coast are also within easy motoring distance. This lovely market town has much to interest the enthusiastic visitor, boasting an ancient castle open to the public, a beautiful old parish church and a colourful market occupying the cobbled setts each side of the high street. In 2008 the Academy of Urbanism voted the High Street the best shopping spot in Britain, and The Copper Dragon/Greyhawk Brewery is highly rated in the CAMRA listings. Steam railways with regular excursions are available at Embsay and Bolton Abbey, and the Leeds to Liverpool Canal passes through Skipton with the 1 mile long Foulridge Tunnel and the 5-rise locks at Bingley within a short travel.
