"A lovely well kept cottage in a great location."
Very thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed. Thank you
-
"This is a really cosy and comfortable cottage with adequate parking for a small / average sized car."
The owner, Claire, was really friendly, even popping round the one evening to check that we were Ok. Handily placed for Embsay and Bolton Abbey heritage railway and within a 30 minutes walk to Skipton. This is a perfect base for two people to explore this very scenic part of the country. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would gladly come back again.
-
"This was a return visit following on from a trip to Embsay away back in 2015."
Cottage beautiful, clean and spacious. The living room and kitchen area are well decorated and offer plenty of room. Facilities such as tv and cooking appliances were modern and in great condition. The double bed is king size and shower in bathroom powerful as well as a bath to allow options. Outdoor eating space to rear of property & off road parking area to side of cottage means vehicle can be parked safely. Another wonderful stay and property is highly recommended!

"Lovely cottage in an ideal location close to Skipton and on the doorstep of wonderful scenery."
Local pubs are excellent as was afternoon tea on the steam railway at Embsay. The cottage had everything we needed with some nice personal touches not always found in holiday lets.
-
"We really enjoyed our time at Katies Cottage."
The cottage is perfect and the off street parking was an added bonus. Really handy for meals at the pub and there is a very good local shop. Everyone very friendly. The outdoor seating area is not very inspired....but it is only April I suppose.
-
"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Katie's cottage."
It is warm, comfortable and well-equipped. Good communication from the owner, Claire.
-

The owners of the cottage were friendly, helpful and communicated well. The checking-in process was very straightforward. We found the cottage to be comfortable and well-suited to our needs. Thank you.

Ideal for two people. There was everything in the cottage to make your stay comfortable but not cluttered. The location of the cottage was superb. Beautiful scenery and plenty of places to visit. Two very good pubs on the doorstep which served good food. Local people were very friendly and helpful. Would love to return especially when the steam train is running. Jennifer Clelland

"We enjoyed our stay at Katie’s Cottage, we met Claire the owner who is very nice."
We have stayed in this property previously. We thought the cleanliness was outstanding couldn't fault that at all. We do feel that the cottage could do with a new sofa, as we thought this had lost all support and was difficult to get out of. Having said this we would book again for this cottage because it is very well kept and very clean. Central for all areas around that part of the dales.
-
"I am very happy to give Katie's Cottage a big 10 out of 10 for everything."
Excellent location for exploring the whole area, the village Post Office is 3 mins and a pub is 1 min walk away. The pub is very nice with a good selection of food and beers. The cottage is in very good condition and is a credit to Claire the owner, it has it's own parking place which is always a bonus. We had the log fire going for a couple of nights which was really nice. The really large King bed upstairs was massive and really comfortable, in fact as good as ours at home and I couldn't fault the immaculate bathroom. It was our first time in the area but I have no hesitation in recommending this great/lovely cottage and will be back. Thank you Claire
-
"Absolutely wonderful property nothing to dislike."
Comfy large bed , superb lighting, cosy log burner plus central heating. Kitchen well stocked with the added bonus of some yummy homemade scones from Claire the owner. Quiet area with a bus stop to Skipton just up the road. Would love to stay again .
-

Amenties all close by. Clean, tidy and cottage owner Claire is very friendly and communicative. Would not hesitate to recommend and will defintely book again when nexty in the area.
-
"We enjoyed a fabulous, relaxing 4 night stay at Katie's Cottage."
The cottage is perfect for 2 guests and provides everything you need to make the stay comfortable including, a starter pack for the log burner! Claire, the owner was easy to liaise with and popped in the make sure we had everything we needed. The location is perfect for Skipton (less than 2 miles away) and walks around Embsay reservoir and up the Crag were spectacular! The village itself has 2 lovely, welcoming pubs, one of which is only doors away and a little shop selling all basics needed. Would highly recommend and we will definitley be back.
-
"Spotlessly clean, comfy and warm."
Great location for visiting the local Dales etc. All the facilities and appliances you'd ever need. Parking space next to cottage. Friendly pub across the road. Claire, the owner, checked to make sure everything was ok and that we had all we needed. Will surely be heading back in the not too distant future.
-
"Lovely cottage."
Spotlessly clean and well equipped. Good base for exploring the Dales and a great pub a stones throw away.
-
"Everywhere was spotlessly clean."
Easy access and information given that cottage was ready early. It’s difficult to have space in compact rooms but only downside was that as it rained everyday there was nowhere to hang damp clothes. This didn’t detract from a fantastic holiday and great location.Stayed in INGLETON last year and pub prices were much higher for a meal than the pub 25 yards from front door.Hoping to return.
-
"Kate’s. Cottage is a lovely cosy cottage, the cottage was immaculate inside."
Just a couple of points. The bedroom would benefit from a small dressing table or chest of drawers - somewhere to do hair and makeup. Outside needs some improvement, it wasn’t a space that we wanted to spend time in and couldn’t really be described as a garden.
-
"Katie's cottage has everything you could want in a holday accommadation."
It is attractive spotless spacious and very fully equipped. The bed is very large very comfortable and the bathroom is modern with excellent shower. There is good fast wifi and good phone signal. The friendly pub is only a few steps away but doesn't serve food on Mondays and Tuesdays. It is wonderfully placed for exploring beautiful Wharfedale. The owner Claire was very welcoming and helpful and lives nearby. We can highly recommend Katie's.
-
"Beautiful cosy cottage with everything you needed to enjoy your stay."
In a lovely little village with a couple of pubs serving food, and a local stores. Lovely walks on the doorstep and local people very friendly. Claire the owner was easy to get hold of if needed and very helpful. Even phoned us the morning of our departure to inform us of a local road closure. Would not hesitate to stay here again

"This cottage was the perfect getaway for 2."
It had everything you needed and some extras ( yes those scones were lovely ). Clean, comfortable and with a well stocked log burner for those chilly nights The local pub, less than 30 steps door to door, was friendly and welcoming and served wholesome pub grub. Thank you Claire for sharing this lovely home

"This is a lovely cottage in the small village of Embasy."
For walkers it is perfectly placed to walk straight from the door. Skipton is only 2 miles away with its vibrant town centre. The cottage itself has everything you need whilst you're there and is very warm and cosy. Claire, the owner, is very approachable and helpful. We arrived at a beautifully cleaned cottage, with a full basket of wood, a box of Yorkshire tea, Harrogate Coffee bags and 2 homemade scones. Would definatly stay here again
-

"We had a wonderful week staying at Katie's Cottage, the cottage was exceptionally clean and tidy and had everything we needed for a week's stay."
We enjoyed a couple of evening meals at The Elm Tree Inn which is literally on the doorstep and perfect after a long walk during the day. We were able to do the Embsay Circular walk from the cottage too, as well as a quick drive to the Grassington and Hebden areas for other long walks. The cottage was comfortable and had plenty of utilities for cooking. We would definitely return for another visit!
-
"Katie’s cottage was absolutely perfect."
Beautiful location and very helpful owner. Lovely scones left for our arrival. The village is wonderful and the parking and outside space a bonus. The cottage was extremely comfortable and well equipped with clear instructions left on use of appliances. I cannot recommend this cottage highly enough. I would consider it to be 5 ticks on your ratings.

"'An exceptopnally clean, comfortable cottage and a very helpful, friendly owner' Had a great week at Katie's cottage, couldn't have asked for more."
Embsay is a very friendly village with good local walks and an ideal base for exploring the Yorkshire Dales. Hilary

"Katie's Cottage is beautiful and perfect for the rest and relaxation break we needed."
Everything is as described and so clean it was just what we needed. We did visit lots of places in and around Skipton but for us on this occasion it was all about the R&R and we looked forward to returning back to the cottage every day. We met and chatted with the owner, Claire who is just lovely. We didn't need help with anything but Claire gave us the names of a few good eateries which was really nice of her. We would return to Katie's Cottage and can highly recommend it.
-

Although it didn't apply to us as the weather was not great- there was not very good "sitting out" space if we needed it- the cottage itself was very good and we would return and recommend
-
"We were very impressed with the appliances and standard of finish/cleanliness."
We were also extremely pleased that Claire, the owner, allowed us earlier access and departure times. This was really appreciated.

Very comfortable and cosy with everything you need. We had to leave urgently for home on Tuesday which was a shame to miss the rest of the week but would definitely like to revisit. The owner very kindly left some scones out for our arrival.

-
"Lovely clean cottage."
Owner very friendly and helpful. Would definitely come again.
-
"We really enjoyed our break at Embsay and we would definitely recommend this property."
The owner met us on our first day with some fruit scones which was very welcoming. As this is the first time we have rented a holiday property we hadn’t properly thought things through. As one of us has disabilities the stairs in the cottage were a problem and there was no downstairs loo. This was a little inconvenient but in no way spoilt our holiday and as I say our fault. The village is quiet and picturesque, Skipton is a very nice market town together with surrounding attractions, well worth a visit.
-
"Lovely cosy cottage with everything you need."
We especially liked the log burner as it was miserable weather but that made a cosy end to the day. There is plenty of walking to do from the doorstep and two great pubs in the village. Skipton is only a short distance away with plenty to do. The countryside in this area is fabulous even in the rain!
-
"Great location, homely cottage, great facilities and welcoming owner."
Fantastic experience. Thank you.
-
"The location was perfect for us, both within the village and with respect to local walks and nearby attractions."
-
"Lots of interesting places to visit and good local pubs"
-
"The cottage was really, really lovely."
Tiny but had everything you could possibly need. Very clear instructions about how to use all the facilities - very often you have to try and work this out for yourself! It was immaculately clean, the bed massive and very comfortable, good sized en-suite with bath and shower and lovely fluffy towels! Elm Tree puib was practically on the doorstep too and served up some lovely grub. Would definitely recommend.
-
"Great little cottage in a lovely location to walk and explore."
Turn left out the door and 15 minutes walk up to the reservoir with a scenic circular walk. Two lovely pubs in the village as well. On a bus route to Skipton too.
-
"Cottage was very comfortable, excellent location, and the contact we had with the owner regarding key collection etc was friendly and efficient."
Would return and recommend
