"Lovely comfortable cottage."
-
"April cottage is a lovely home from home."
It has everything you need for a lovely holiday. This was our second visit and I am sure we will be back again.
-
"Access of cottage poor."
In lounge no clock or waste bin. Could do with 2 tvs one in main bedroom would be ideal.Beer mats needed in bedrooms. Too small the table in lounge a proper coffee table mat required. In kitchen double waste bin with no instruction of which rubbish to put in each compartment.

"A lovely cottage tucked back from the main road in Cross Hills."
Facilities were good and very clean with thoughtful touches from the owners. Very comfortable. The location is central for the south side of the dales - a great base for the week.
-
"We enjoyed our week at April Cottage which has been finished to a high standard and had a nice homely atmosphere."
The spacious patio area was very relaxing having privacy by tasteful fencing and well tended shrubs and planters. There were plenty of nearby places to eat out and vegan and gluten free options were catered for. There was so much to see and do in the area and the scenery while travelling was stunning.
-
"A lovely holiday home with everything you could need provided."
One of the best we have stayed in and we have stayed in a lot!
-
"Lovely cosy cottage."
Lots to do in the area only problem was finding it ! Could do with better instructions in Cross Hills. We had read in a review it was near the co op and opposite a butchers. So we parked in the co op and went to find it on foot first as traffic was very busy. Once we knew where it was everything was perfect.

"This was our first holiday with our young whippet dog."
We found the cottage so comfortable that from the first day we all were relaxed. Great place to reach all attractions/sites to visit. Excellent lay out of the property, we only ever used the back doors, allowed us easier access with the dog. This was so we could clean the dogs feet and, remove our outdoor shoes before going into the cottage, only right. All appliances had easy clear instructions, full utensils and crockery supplied. We found the owner wonderful, happy to answer any questions. Visitors must try the local butcher over the road and Gallaghers micro pub, both excellent. We will definitely look to go back, could highly rate this enough.
-
"Beautiful cottage in a lovely village location, convenient for trips around Yorkshire and beyond."
The cottage is finished to a premium standard, and it’s absolutely immaculate. Great quality furniture, crockery, even down to heavy cutlery to give you that luxurious feel. Honestly we all said we could happily live there! Would highly recommend and will be coming back.
-
"A well proportioned cottage with good facilities within the property."
It was clean and we found the kitchen good with adequate utensils. Couldn't work out how to load a tablet into the dishwasher so we never used it. Found the living room a bit dark, probably due to the darker furniture and blinds. Found the quilt a bit heavy.
-
"Loved our week away,we'll equipped all round."
Lovely garden when the weather was nice. Nice places to visit on door step, lovely walking place's. Need your own Nexflix pass in cottage.
-
"Lovely cottage."
It had everything we needed and more. Very good welcome pack and Cross Hills was a pleasant place to stay in with friendly pubs, nice Italian restaurant and The Old Bank did a good steak night.
-
"The property was extremely clean and comfortable and has been renovated and furnished to a very high standard."
It was also extremely well equipped, the best we have ever stayed in in this respect. We were advised it was tricky to find but we did without too much trouble. It certainly is in a good location for visiting the various beauty spots in the Yorkshire Dales, Haworth, Malham Cove, Grassington and Linton Falls.
-
"A lovely well appointed cottage in an ideal location to explore the beauty of the surrounding areas."
Didn't want to come home and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
-
"Thank you for our lovely week in April cottage."
Easy access to the dales and surrounding area, plenty of local amenities. We even caught the bus (1 min walk) to Skipton and then walked back over the moors. The property was clean, well equipped and the enclosure patio lovely to catch the evening sun.
-
"Great property close enough to visit all the dales has to offer, virtually everything you need, with local places to eat and drink."
Would definitely recommend and would visit again in the future.
-

-
"Gorgeous cottage!"
-
"Gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous is how to describe this home from home … facilities were excellent including the welcome pack left for us ."
We spent Christmas here and the tree was a welcome addition … the weather was horrendous but this did not dampen our stay here … the area has lots of walks though we did not complete all we wanted too … and plenty of places eat …. Would love to return in better weather
-
"The cottage was very clean on arrival , the kitchen was well equipped, with everything you could possibly need."
The living area was cosy and the log burner was a must on a the very cold week we were there. Beds were comfortable, and a lovely shower. The enclosed courtyard would be lovely in the sunshine. A lot of thought has gone into this cottage , inside and out.
-

Clean with comfortable furnishings, we will return.
-
"The cottage exceeded expectations, it is absolutely beautiful."
Immaculate decoration and highest standard of cleanliness. Facilities cater for every need and top quality. Pubs and restaurants all within walking distance and scenery is spectacular. Highly recommended.
-
"A lovely cottage that was very well presented."
Very clean well equipped although extra cutlery, plates and bowls would be useful as this would cut down on the use of the dishwasher. As strange as it sounds it was nice to have a cottage that had sharp knives. Communication was spot on. Thoroughly recommend.
-
"Beautiful cottage and very well equipped throughout."
The log burner was wonderful, as was the shower and everything else in the cottage. Can’t rate the cottage high enough as everything is just so well decorated, comfortable and top end. Fabulous location too. Very difficult to shift the dog once the fire got going!
-
"Great cottage, facilities and location."
-
"Lovely cottage furnished to a high standard."
Ideal for exploring the surrounding area. Good walks nearby. Excellent instructions from the owner on how to find it as it is tucked away off the main road. Very quiet although central. Could have used more crockery to make full use of the dishwasher but this is a minor point. Only negative was that the shower tray wasn't emptying properly as the plughole was blocked and clearly in need of cleaning. I had to fish a load of hair and gunk out by hand. I did let the owner know so hopefully this will be remedied for future guests.
-
"A lovely cottage, finished to a high standard with quality furnishings and accessories."
Couldn’t fault it and would love to stay there again.
-
"This is an absolute gem of a place."
Fully equipped, a lovely treat tray in the kitchen. Very comfortable beds, great shower and roaring fire. Pubs, cafes and restaurants on the doorstep and parks withing walking distance. We will be back later in the year. Highly recommended
-
"Absolutely perfect cottage, the pictures accurately reflect the accommodation, which is finished to such a high standard."
Very well laid out and equipped with everything you could possibly need for your stay. The cottage was so very clean, and so comfortable, we could have moved in forever! Well located for exploration of Yorkshire Dales. Loved every minute - thank you!
-
"Delightful cottage."
Everything was spotless and very comfortable. Local shops, pubs and restaurants all added to our stay.
-
"Wonderful cottage everything you need very clean definitely would Recommend five star ⭐️"
-
"Absolutely stunning property, well located, furnished and equipped to a very high standard."
A real home from home. The beds are extremely comfortable so got a great night's sleep. Great to have off road parking and the garden area was a fantastic bonus, although the weather prevented us from making full use, throwing open the patio doors made the kitchen really bright and airy. Log Fire was lovely and warm, as was the shower. One suggestion, nesting coffee tables wouldn't go a miss to prevent 'minor domestics' on where to put your wine glass whilst relaxing in the Lounge. One of the best cottages I've stayed in, would definitely book there again and highly recommend it to anyone looking to visit The Dales.
-
"The cottage was in pristine condition and ideally located for exploring the Yorkshire dales Tucked away in the village of Cross Hills minutes walk from ale houses, restaurant’s , pubs and a variety of shops ."
A lovely enclosed large patio area for enjoying a drink as the sun went down after a day climbing the peaks or exploring waterfalls, so much to be seen in the surrounding areas.
-
"We had a lovely week in this very comfortable cottage."
The property was immaculately clean with every facility catered for. The patio area was a bonus. We would not hesitate in recommending this property as it was perfect.
-
"Very nice cottage, recommended."
Would stay there again and probably will at some point. The property was clean and tidy, one of the best I have stayed in.
-
"Very comfortable and well equipped."
Tea, coffee, milk and biscuits all provided. Soap and dishwasher tablets also included.
-
"Beautiful cottage."
Appreciated the smart tv and being able to sit in the kitchen with the doors opening onto the garden. Shower was a pleasure to use. Upstairs toilet was very useful! Parking was very convenient. Quiet spot off the road. All necessary window blinds were great. Stairs were very manageable, which weren't steep. All cutlery and tableware were spotless and the dishwasher was very useful and the owner left enough dishwasher tablets which were gratefully received. Overall, top quality cottage and would recommend it.
-
"April cottage is a beautiful place to stay."
Spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The furnishings and bedding are of a high quality. We would recommend this cottage and will hopefully return in the future.
-
"Sorry but the double bed was very hard ,other than that exerlent facilities expesaly your shower room."
Many thanks.
-
"April Cottage in Crosshills is a lovely place."
Clean, modern and comfortable amenities and a lovely sunny private garden. We didn’t realise it was so near the main street however it wasn’t too much of a problem for road noise etc. Good location for access to visitor attractions in the area. The only reason we didn’t give it five stars was because we found the bed and pillows to be too firm, provision of some softer pillows as an alternative would’ve been great.
-
"Beautifully presented cottage, very clean with quality items supplied."
Secure garden area which our dog enjoyed sitting out in the sunshine. Several good places to visit and walks within 30 minutes drive. Nice welcome pack provided by owners. Good communications. We would happily return here.
-
"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay cottage, perfect ."
Very good micro pub 100yards away very friendly I think it Galaghers went to Cliff Castle once owned by our very old friend Lady Rozelle Raynes to see the Malachite fireplace etc. Also many drives on the moors .Had two good lunches at Goose Eye pub.Went on railway. We did not want leave.
-
"Really lovely cottage which was beautifully decorated and fitted out."
The only tiny thing I would have liked is something in the shower to hold toiletries but otherwise it was perfect.
-
"The property was out of the way and a little difficult to find despite instructions from the owners We were the first visitors and everything was clean and well prepared for us."
There was a welcome tray which was appreciated as we were able to have a cup of tea as soon as we got there. The cottage was well decorated and all fitments and equipment was of a good quality. The kitchen has been provided with useful utensils and good quality tableware and dishes. The bedding was of good quality and there was plenty of storage space. The whole cottage was accessorised with style and thought. The courtyard outside was great for our dogs as it was totally secure. Although the cottage is in a village. The area is very urban with a busy main road very nearby so it was very noisy outside. Inside with doors and windows closed it was fine. We used the place as a base for exploring the Dales and for us it’s location and local facilities were ideal.
