• "The house is in a beautiful location close to some of the main attractions in the area."

• "A really lovely house, with a well equipped kitchen and beautiful views from the lounge, terrace and conservatory."

  As the house is just on the edge of the village, it feels very remote but is only a 5 min walk from the village centre where there are some nice pubs and restaurants. The one downside of our stay was the heating being owner controlled and locked to guests - it was very frustrating to not be able to put the heating on ourselves for a few hours when we've come back from a day out in the torrential rain!

  Hello Charlotte thanks for your feedback. We’re glad you found the house and location to your liking. In terms of the heating, we did communicate with you about it and explained that the settings can be altered any time if the heating schedule didn’t suit your requirements. The thermostat has a boost setting too which you can access. There’s also a log burner with a basket of logs provided which you didn’t appear to have fully used during your stay. • "I had a great week at Farnhill View and was able to host my family and ex work colleagues."

  We had the use of the hot tub which worked well for us. The weather was kind a lot of the time and we used the conservatory when it was not. Comfy beds and lovely views. Sean was around to deal with any concerns in a timely fashion. Would recommend.

• "Beautiful property- pictures do not do the views from the balcony justice."

  Comfortable beds and sofa. Kitchen was fully equipped- even has a French press! We all enjoyed the hot tub followed by the fire most nights. Hosts were lovely and any issues we had solved immediately. Couldn’t fault this property.

• "The house is lovely, it is very well equipped and in a very good location."

  There is so much to see, that a week just wasn't long enough. Owners live next door and are happy to be contacted. They are very friendly and can answer any questions you have. The house itself is large and beds are very comfy. Cleanliness was A*.

  Only very slight drawback, found sofa bit too deep and soft so doesn't support you. But apart from that tiny drawback, we would definitely come again.

  Paula and Sean's availability and assistance was terrific. Welcome pack contained super info and support. Great location, we walked our legs off every day and our dogs enjoyed plenty of off lead walking, where appropriate. Visited lots of local villages and towns without the dogs which was our fun time.

• "A lovely, well equipped cottage with everything you need for a week away."

  The perfect home from home! The owners were next door if we needed but we had no issues. There is plenty to do in the surrounding area and the views from the cottage are spectacular. We definitely recommend!

• "Only little issue was doors not closing properly upstairs and it was a little chilli up there."

  But this should not stop anybody from stopping. The owners were nearby so any issues or advice was easily sorted, and they left you alone to have your break without interuptions. Just how we like it.

  Hi Stuart thank you for your feedback & comments which are greatly appreciated. In regards to the doors, these are the original 1930’s doors which over time, some have slightly warped. And although we think they add character to the house, we do apologise for any discomfort this caused during your stay. Also we would’ve happily adjusted the heating for you if we’d known. It’s a fine balance to find the ideal to suit everyone but if you come back to visit, that is something we can improve for you! Apologies again for any discomfort. However it certainly appears that your overall experience was a positive one with an enjoyable stay at Farnhill View, we are delighted about that. Thank you & take care! • "Fantastic homely property in a great location with both nice walks and amenities on the doorstep."

  Hot Tub, under cover, a great way to unwind after a day exploring the local countryside. The owners Sean and Paula live next door, very friendly and helpful couple who are there for as much or as little as you need them. We truly enjoyed our week's stay and will definitely return in the not too distant future. Can't fault it in any way and highly recommend!!

• "Wow - such a stunning property."

  I had a wonferful time and am missing those views up the Aire valley. The house is so lovely, stylish and perfectly dog friendly. We had hours of fun on the table football game in the spacious conservatory. Sean and Paula, the owners next door, were very friendly and informative. The beds are comfy, the house warm and super spacious. I have never before rented a house with such extensive kitchen equipment - excellent. The only thing I missed was an extra vase. There were already beautiful roses as part of the welcome gift - along with fresh baked bread, butter milk, wine, cookies etc. However as my stay included a birthday celebration I was brought two gifts of flowers. Beer glasses came in handy. I really didn't want to go home after my two week stay - loved it!!

• "We had a lovely stay at the house despite the dreadful weather."

  The house is beautifully furnished and provided everything we could possibly need - thank you for the bread, flowers and biscuits. There is lots to see and do in the area and can definitely recommend the walk along the river at Bolton Abbey. It was our only dry day and was beautiful in the warm sunshine. The Old Bank in Cross Hills and the Hare and Hounds in Lothersdale were great places to eat.

  The added extras of homemade bread, flowers and wine were a lovely touch. The house is spotlessly clean and had all the things we needed and more from a holiday home. The views from the house were amazing especially from the conservatory where we loved sitting on an evening and it is the house is perfectly located for exploring all the villages and towns of Yorkshire. • "A little gem in a beautiful area."

  Perfectly located for the canal path and lots of walking opportunities within walking distance or a short drive away. We picked a very hot week which meant early starts. Afternoons were spent on the lovely balcony or in the garden looking out at the amazing view. The house was cool and we enjoyed our time there. Very quiet but within walking distance of the shops and pubs. Lovely fresh bread, wine and everything we could need was there on our arrival. Owners next door and on hand for any questions. Did eventually get used to the bumpy cattle grid!

• "Extremely high standard we were very impressed."

  Comfortable and everything you could need had been thought off. Owners very helpful. Appreciated the homemade bread,bottle of wine and flowers. Comfortable beds. Wonderful conservatory with great views- we loved watching the sun go down with a drink! Having the Hot tub was a real treat and well maintained. WiFi was strong and able to cope with all our devices/ laptop. Safe enclosed garden for the dog. Will definitely return and would recommend.

• "The property was very high spec."

  Amazing views. Fully equipped. Lots of walks from the doorstep. The only niggle was the sofa which we found uncomfortable. But that's personal choice. Certainly didn't ruin the holiday.

  VERY clean. The conservatory overlooking the fields & wildlife at the rear of the house was particularly beneficial. Ideal for walking the Leeds Liverpool canal from the house and many other scenic areas only a short distance in the car.

• "Lovely accommodation, extremely comfortable and very well equipped there isn’t anything the owner hasn’t thought of to ensure an enjoyable stay."

  Home made bread and a bottle of wine was a lovely touch, real home from home and nothing was too much trouble if you needed anything from the owners next door. We had a lovely week with our 2 dogs the view was relaxing and we enjoyed watching it with the change of weather. Our week topped off with a log fire and a beautiful blanket of snow. (Thanks for arranging that!)

  The house is stunning and in a great location - everything you could ever think you’ll need is within this house - they’ve thought of everything! The hot tub was a lovely addition even in the rain (as under shelter). The beds were comfy & the log burner made those autumn nights cosy.   The house is absolutely stunning and finished to a very high standard. We stayed with our 2 children age 5 and 10 and our 2 dogs. The large Smart tv was a bonus for keeping the kids entertained. • "Had the most amazing stay here."

  So close to lots of places especially Haworth. The facilities were great and the whole cottage was fantastic. It’s so close to the local supermarkets and also the pubs are close by. I would definitely stay here again. The host were also really friendly and helpful.

• "The accomodation and location were both perfect for our party of five, ranging from grandparents to grandchild age seven + our two dogs."

• "We have just had the best stay here the owners are fantastic and can't do enough to help, we took our children 5 and 6 they have a games room with a football table and board games, there are lots of amenities close by and lots of fabulous places just a short drive away from the propperty, loverly walks orally at the bottom of the garden, this place is just fabulous would highly recommend!"

• "Just loved the cottage so clean and well loved, ideal location for site seeing."

  So close to amenities and public transport if needed. Views to enjoy and great if you like trains with the railway being nearby. Garden needed securing to make it completely doggy friendly, as we had two very nosey Terriers that can always find a way out!! But they loved the sun kissed terrace, that was fully secure alongside the conservatory that was a real sun trap and a great place to sit and watch the world go by. The owners were always at hand should we have needed anything. Nothing was too much trouble. We would certainly visit again thank you Sean and Paula A* rating

  In a great setting for exploring the surrounding countryside. Some great walks from the door! Hosts could not have been more helpful. Provided lots of useful information with respect to local amenities and visitor attractions. Would highly recommend and would definitely visit again! 10/10

• "The pictures on Sykes do not do this property justice it is much more beautiful than you see on there and the amazing view you wake up to every morning."

  Sean and Paula who live next door are always there to help if you need anything and respond quickly to any queries. It is located about a 1minuet walk to the centre of the village and a great location to drive out to various other places in the Yorkshire Dales. I would not hesitate to stay again and our puppy seemed to enjoy his first holiday here too.

• "Could not believe how nice this place was."

  The owners live next door, and will help you in anyway they can. Everything you need for a special time away is supplied. The beds were comfortable, the place was spotless clean, and dog friendly to boot. The views are amazing, and the window seat is yet another bonus. If I tried to fault this accommodation, I do not think I could. Thanks Paula, Sean, Molly and Jack. Hope you just go from strength to strength. All the best for the future, Jackie, Phil and Ozzie.
