"Lottie's Loft is just a minutes walk from the main market square in Grassington."
The property is a first floor studio flat up a flight of stairs in Garrs Lane. The property has been recently tastefully furnished and equipped and is ideal for a couple for a short stay.

Although small, a great deal of thought had gone into the furnishings and it was a very comfortable place to stay. Grassington is a beautiful village and our location was excellent, being close to the square. With the narrow lanes, parking was a bit of a challenge but the useful tips from the owner enabled us to always find a space. We loved the walks around Grassington, particularly to Linton Falls and the Strid. We highly recommend Lottie’s Loft.

Very noisy generator outside for two days then road works starting drilling at 7.30 all week Car parking difficult lucky to get space on arrival I did not use car all week as didn’t want to lose space. So could not venture out and see other places as I could lose parking space Mattress needs to be firmer it was so soft got a back ache.

The only thing that needs changing is the mattress on the bed as it is very soft and is like sleeping on a half inflated airbed. A couple of nights on it is enough for your back. Otherwise this property is a 10 out of 10.

There is no parking but there is a car park not too far away and you can pay for the week, you can unload and load your vehicle outside the property so it wasn’t an issue. The property is vey comfortable and has everything you should need for your stay.

Super clean. Sue has thought of everything one might need. The bed is super comfy and bedding is gorgeous. This apartment is perfectly situated and loved returning to it each evening it was perfect. Lovely pubs to eat in, we enjoyed the quality of food in the foresters even if it wasn’t the smartest. The fish shop next door to us was excellent. We spoke to lots of people and all pubs did great food. Lots of tea shops. This is a great base for a walking holiday which we did.

Lots of thoughtful touches by the property owner. The torches in the bedside drawers were very handy in the night, and the larger torch when the lights went out in the whole village one night! The property is next door to the chippy, and the staff there were lovely when we used it on our last night, too. Also had nice meals in both The Devonshire and The Black Horse. I think we may well make it back sometime soon.

Apart from that the loft is lovely we’ll done out and spotless right in the centre of the village. There however were no details about parking. I know it said we could park in the square but that’s restricted to two hours. It cost us to park the car in the car park just outside the village. The square car park was always full anyway. Lottie's Loft is beautifully and thoughtfully decorated. We loved the decor and were amazed at how good the kitchen area is. We ate in two nights out of 4 because the loft is so pleasant. We also enjoyed sitting in the sun out the back, too. The bed was very comfortable and there were lots of nice additions such as books and an Alexa. Lots of dishes, mugs and cutlery. Everything of a high quality and a high standard of cleanliness. The location is excellent, being so close to Grassington Square. We loved it. Thank you.

I did leave a note for Susan, to advise her that we felt the bathroom really could do with a waste bin and the DVD player did not work at all. It might be an age thing, but we both found the sofa really quite uncomfortable because is sinks down very low, so being sitting at anytime was not good. However, the kitchen was extremely well equipped and we, again, enjoyed the fun of having an Alexa. The bottle of wine & snacks were much appreciated, so please pass on our grateful thanks to Susan for this kind gesture.

Very well equipped & beautifully presented. Grassington is a delight with shops, pubs & restaurants on your doorstep. We would love to return to Lottie's Loft. My only reservation would be that a dog is allowed - as dog lovers ourselves we would not take one into this lovely property. The entrance hall is small with a carpeted stairway & with the best will in the world it would be difficult to prevent muddy paws.

The standards of cleanliness were very high and the loft space felt very high end. It had everything we needed and was perfect for a weekend break with our dog. The owner was very helpful with advice on where to park and where to eat out. We really didn’t want to leave!

A very cozy and comfortable cottage in the centre of Grassington with fabulous walks, great giftshops, tea rooms, pubs and restraunts on the doorstep. Our favourite walks include Grassington to Burnsall along the river including Linton falls, Grassington to Hebden including the Old School House tearooms, and walking through Grass Wood. Lotties Loft is ideally situated for visiting nearby towns of Skipton and Ilkley and the pretty village of Linton. Whether you are a walker or not, there is plenty to see and do in this area. Will definately stay here again soon.

Very conscientious owner - had a moment of panic when couldn't work the ultra-modern cooker and she was actually going to travel up at 7.00 in the evening to help. Luckily I got the hang of it just in time. There is a very handy little "dressing room" where cases, boots, wet clothes etc can be stowed out of the way.

The high beamed ceilings make it really spacious (with remote controlled velux windows) as does the glass door to the outside space at the back. The stairs in are quite steep which may be a problem for some and parking isn’t easy but can usually be found at the very top of the village. You can load and unload at the door if this is the case. The central location is fantastic as there are numerous walks from the door and the fish and chip shop two doors down (limited opening hours) is very handy! I’d recommend this apartment without hesitation. I loved it!

Comfortable bed, instant heating, lots of hot water, walks from the door, bus stop nearby. Only drawback is no parking and packing/unpacking car in narrow street outside and getting luggage up the stairs before traffic builds up behind. Take as few containers as possible (unfortunately, we had lots of carrier bags with boots, spare boots, last minutes bits and bobbins!). We'd definitely go again but be more organised. The chip shop next door (no smell) was excellent.

Nice, clean and everything that you really need. However I must feel I need to warn anyone who is infirm or disabled that the stairs up to the apartment are extremely steep and after a days walking were very difficult to climb. Didn't stop my enjoyment of the area though or the actual apartment once tucked up back inside.

Lottie's Loft is very homely, beautifully set out and more spacious than expected. We loved it. The only thing to be aware of is, if like us you have a large elderly dog, the stairs proved to be a bit of a challenge for her.

The loft is as described and as a bonus allows dogs ITS very comfortable, clean and easy to access Grassington and the many beautiful surrounding areas. Parking can be a problem, but that just expected in a charming place like Grasssington.

About the location
GRASSINGTON
Skipton 9 miles; Ilkley 12 miles.
Grassington is one of the most charming villages in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Traditional stone cottages and shops are clustered around the cobbled market place, offering exceptional shopping facilities for a village of this size, with a monthly farmer’s market offering a mouthwatering range of organic and homemade local produce. Situated on the River Wharfe, with the extensive Grass Woods to the north of the village, this is a superb walking area. Down dale is Bolton Abbey with the Abbey ruins, the Priory and the famous “Strid Walk”. A little further is the elegant town of Ilkley, overlooked by the famous Ilkley Moor. Up dale are Kettlewell and Buckden boasting spectacularly beautiful limestone scenery.
