• "The cottage was small, which we were prepared for from the advertisement, but very clean, well maintained and comfortable."

  The owners have thought of everything, it is very well equipped for a self catered stay and the owners passion and enthusiasm for providing a cosy holiday environment is very evident. The location is superb, with the added bonus of parking outside the front door, Grassington is a fantastic location from which to explore the Dales. We would be more than happy to return to Sunny Mount Cottage.

• "NOT A FOUR BED COTTAGE."

  While the cottage is very convenient and in the middle of lovely Grassington it really shouldn't be listed as accommodation for four adults. The pull-out bed in the single room is only useable if you take the mattress out and sleep on it on the floor in the relatively small living room downstairs.

  The cottage is provisioned with a king-sized double in the main bedroom and in the smaller second bedroom there is both a built in single and pull out single both with bed frames and both have a 2' 6" (75cm wide mattress). There is shelf behind the bed with a reading lamp and the second bedroom benefits from built in tall wardrobes are double hanging providing 1.5m of hanging space in total. The living room is approx 10ft x 12ft which is fairly typical for a 2-bed cottage in the Dales and is well furnished with a 3-seater sofa, dining table and benches a a lounge chair. We make every effort to ensure the cottage is represented well and Sykes own photographer managed the pictures which overall have left guests very happy with their holiday memories. • "Sunny Mount cottage was excellent."

  It was spotlessly clean and perfectly located in the village centre. With parking right outside the door a real bonus. Just one small point, a teapot would have been nice as not everyone makes tea in the mug!

• "This is a great place to stay in Grassington, very close to all the pubs, shops etc and as a base to travel about the Dales."

• "Superbly situated in the village."

  Fabulously clean and every amenity provided. The bed was super comfy. Parking directly outside a super plus and the little courtyard was lovely to sit outside. Would recommend to everyone and we will return for sure.

• "The cottage was clean warm and cozy Lovely furnishings and bedding Would have been top marks, all round but unfortunately we weren't told about the building work next door My wife has been ill and we booked the cottage for some resbite for her We arrived to not being able to park because 2 builders vehicles were in the parking space Inside the cottage constant banging so we went out."

  Saturday morning 8 30am it started again, hammering, grinding and stealth saw going. So again went out not the relaxing break we wanted. Not what we had come away for.!! Should have been informed at time of booking Such a shame because it is, a beautiful cottage.

• "Perfect location in the centre of Grassington."

  No more than 2 minutes walk to all the shops, pubs and restaurants. Also ideally located to explore the Dales. Would recommend the Black Horse Inn which does the best steak and ale pie ever!

• "Sunny Bank Cottage was the perfect base for our holiday."

  Located in the centre of Grassington it was handy for the shops, places to eat and for walking to beautiful Linton Springs. The cottage is clean, warm and welcoming with a comfy bed and lovely hot shower. We immediately relaxed and felt at home. We would highly recommend a stay here for anyone wishing to explore this beautiful part of the country. We hope to return.

• "Cottage is in an excellent position, just back from the village centre but still close to everything."

  Main bed extremely comfy and the power shower very refreshing! Nicely refurbished and warm cottage - if anything a little TOO warm as we couldn’t work out how to turn some of the radiators off. That meant having to keep the bedroom windows wide open which in turn meant we were disturbed by noise of passing traffic outside from very early morning most days and the church bells. Nice to be able to open just the top of the front door during the day to increase the fresh air flowing into the cottage. There was no mention of the relatively steep staircase in the website listing and also into the main bathroom as well as in and out of the back door to the yard - I have a knee injury and had I been aware of these, I probably wouldn’t have booked this venue; the listing really should mention this. Living room warm & reasonably comfortable but needs better lighting, we found it difficult to read once it got later than around 8pm. Kitchen facilities good but so small that only one of us could be in there at any one time!

  Our biggest disappointment was the level of lighting in the lounge. This was not good enough for easy reading or for consulting maps. Overall we were pleased with the cottage as everything was high spec and worked well.

  It is very well positioned within Grassington with the bonus of private off road parking outside the door. The bed was probably the most comfortable we have been in (we were going to look at the make and type of mattress but forgot!!), All of the fittings and utensils were of very high quality, goose quilt and pillows, Next plates etc. And above all else it was very reasonably priced. If you're going to stay in Grassington look here first. Highly recommend it.

  Although the cottage is small it is well planned and has everything you need for a short break, with parking and a garden. Tastefully decorated (loved the starry sky panel in the bedroom) and comfortable for 3 but would be a struggle for 4 due to a lack of seating. The staircase is very steep and there are several steps and different levels inside the property which could be a problem for the elderly. A bedside lamp would be useful in the second bedroom. I would definitely recommend this property though.

• "Delightful cosy cottage beautifully restored and decorated."

  Particularly the fabulous shower and the most comfortable bed ever! A very festive welcome greeted us with fairy lights round the front door and a Christmas tree in the sitting room. Grassington village looked magical the houses all decorated and twinkling with fairy lights. The location of the cottage is excellent, shopping and traditional pubs just 2 minutes away. With plenty of walks straight out of the front door this is the ideal,location to explore this part of the dales, stunning views in every direction. We loved it all. Just one thing - a bedside light would be a good idea in the small bedroom.
