Lovely cottage but only for 2 guests would be cramped wirh 4 guests everything you need was provided and the parking was perfect small suggestion could advise to empty the dehumidifier twice a day

Hi Lesley. Many thanks for taking the time to leave feedback and your 5 star review. I’m so glad you enjoyed your stay. With regards to your comments on 4 guests, both families of 4 who have stayed so far have had a lovely stay and recommended the cottage to future guests so I would have to politely disagree with your comment on that. Consideration should be given to the fact that this is a mid 19th century weavers cottage. We have two teenage children and, for us, the quaint, cosy ambience is part of the charm. Everything has been designed for 4 guests such as the double sofa bed and dining table for 4. Best wishes and thank you again for your review. Camilla Property Owner

  • "Wonderful stay at the Snug on the Cobbles."

Have always wanted to stay on Main Street as have been visiting Howarth since childhood. The cottage is beautifully presented by Camilla. Everything brand new and cosy. Extremely comfortable bed. Frame TV is a lovely touch. Location is fabulous as we were right by the park which was great for our two children. It was especially nice to sit outside on the bench in the evening. People are so friendly in Howarth. A real gem. We will be back. Highly recommend a stay here.

Hi Catherine Many thanks for your wonderful review and I’m so happy that you enjoyed your stay in The Snug on the Cobbles. It means the world to me when I get such lovely feedback as I’ve put my heart and soul into making it the perfect place to stay. Haworth really is my happy place too. You are all welcome back anytime xx Best wishes Camilla Property Owner

  • "Unfortuanately his was not to our taste."

A 'smart' TV where you needed your own accounts to watch anything. The free tv provided was much less that standard Free View. A hi tech (expensive) Nescafe maker., rather than a more simply and (better) filter or jug. A wonderful work top in kitchen that said water will damage it if not clean up (a kitchen top by the sink really!). No hooks for coats anywhere. Nice location but too tech/high end for my idea of providing a relaxing hoilday. Personally would recommend hooks behind the front door, a door mat inside, a choice of coffee makers, and a nornal tv with freeview, and some kind of draining area in the kitchen to protect the worktop.

Thank you for your feedback Mr Smith. I’m sorry to hear that our cottage was not to your taste and too high end / high tech. I’m really glad to see though that you gave the accuracy of the listing 10/10 so you were aware of these things prior to staying. As a new holiday let my husband and I have really tried our best to put the very best appliances in such as Smart Frame TVs, Nespresso, Ninja, SMEG etc to try and help guests have a wonderful experience. All our reviews to date have been extremely complementary of the facilities. We do however have a cafetière being put in today for those not wishing to use the coffee machine. To address your other concerns/comments - We agree on the issue with coats and will look to ensure we have somewhere to hang without cluttering the space too much. - We have tried indoor mats but they do not allow the door to close. We will continue to look for one that does. As you are aware we had an outdoor mat when you stayed by the door. - The comment, in the welcome pack, was to ensure guests were “mindful” to help us keep the solid wood worktop in as good condition as possible and not warp. Of course we know it will get wet being next to the sink. - There are plenty of things you can view on the Smart Tvs such as BBC iPlayer, ITV player, YouTube etc. You don’t need to set up a paid account for everything. We have purchased a tv licence so you can view on demand or live TV. However, I will look into options to extend the free view channels. Many thanks again for your stay and I’m sorry our cottage was not to your taste. Camilla Property Owner

  • "Stunning cottage in perfect location for visitors to Haworth."

Beautifully decorated in modern style but keeping in touch with the old building heritage of Haworth, had everything I needed for my stay. Well equiped and some lovely little touches throughout the place, very thankful for the tall fan in the bedroom. Welcome pack information was really useful, appreciated owners had arranged parking nearby should it be required and the Welcome basket was lovely. Will definitely stay here again on my next visit if available

Thank you so much for your lovely review Julia. I am so happy you had a wonderful stay at The Snug on the Cobbles. So glad the fan came in handy and you were lucky with the weather too! We look forward to welcoming you to the cottage again in the future. Thank you again for your booking! Best Wishes, Camilla Property Owner

  • "There's an introduction in the guest information where Camilla describes her and Dominic's love of the property and of Haworth."

It's unnecessary, because that love is evident in every line and every detail of the cottage. From the generous basket of treats that welcomed us on arrival to the well appointed kitchen (who puts a ninja air fryer in a holiday let?). From the cosy living room with it's fireplace and candles, to the luxurious bedroom and the elegant bathroom with it's walk in shower. Should I be excited about little details like personalised mugs and bathrobes, or super fluffy towels? Probably not, but the cumulative effect was to make us feel really pampered. It's a lovely base on the most picturesque of streets and a great location to explore a beautiful part of the country.

Thank you so much for your fabulous words. I am so glad you loved the cottage. We do absolutely love the cottage so much and it truly is our happy place. We just want all our guests to fall in love with it and Haworth just like we did! Thank you for booking to stay, it means the world that you had a wonderful time xx Property Owner

About the location

HAWORTH

Skipton 13 miles; Hebden Bridge 8 miles.

The small village of Haworth was home to the famous Bronte sisters, who were inspired by the surrounding moorland to pen their novels, which have become classics of English Literature. Haworth is a village that time almost forgot, with its myriad of curiosity and antique shops, alleyways and cobbled streets creating a wonderful period atmosphere, all set against a framing backdrop of countryside famously described in the novel Wuthering Heights as wild, rugged and barren. Nearby, the famous Keighley and Worth Valley Railway, an authentic steam railway brought to prominence in the film The Railway Children, provides a lovely day out with a regular service to the old village of Oxenhope. The area abounds with popular places to visit, including the Bronte Parsonage Museum, East Riddlesden Hall, and the National Railway Museum in York. The market town of Skipton, often fondly regarded as the Gateway to the Yorkshire Dales, is just a short drive away, and also within reach are elegant Harrogate and vibrant Leeds and Manchester.
