"We were welcomed by Michael upon arrival and he guided us to the parking area which was more spacious than we anticipated."
Entrance to the property is via a substantial outdoor metal staircase. Once inside there is stairs which are fairly steep (there is a handrail, but having one on both sides would be a great help) to the spacious living area and from there another set of steep stairs to the bedrooms. The beds are very comfortable but headroom is restricted due to the sloping ceilings. The shower room is on the same floor as the living area so great care is needed when coming down the stairs from the bedrooms to the toilet. The accommodation was well equipped apart from only finding 2 dessert spoons (numerous teaspoons but they are bit small for eating cereal). A nice touch was a welcome bottle of Prosecco and also butter, eggs, a jug of milk and some biscuits. We were in Haworth for the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway Gala weekend and the station is within walking distance of the property. Haworth is known for its steep hills so remember that it is uphill on the walk back from the station. We would have no hesitation in recommending Main Street View providing you can cope with stairs and the unmade road at the rear.

Where you’ll be staying
HAWORTH
Skipton 13 miles; Hebden Bridge 8 miles.
The small village of Haworth was home to the famous Bronte sisters, who were inspired by the surrounding moorland to pen their novels, which have become classics of English Literature. Haworth is a village that time almost forgot, with its myriad of curiosity and antique shops, alleyways and cobbled streets creating a wonderful period atmosphere, all set against a framing backdrop of countryside famously described in the novel Wuthering Heights as wild, rugged and barren. Nearby, the famous Keighley and Worth Valley Railway, an authentic steam railway brought to prominence in the film The Railway Children, provides a lovely day out with a regular service to the old village of Oxenhope. The area abounds with popular places to visit, including the Bronte Parsonage Museum, East Riddlesden Hall, and the National Railway Museum in York. The market town of Skipton, often fondly regarded as the Gateway to the Yorkshire Dales, is just a short drive away, and also within reach are elegant Harrogate and vibrant Leeds and Manchester.
